Very big station with connections to every where, North- South and East-West S-Bahn are on different levels underground. Multiple rails and trains ever 2 to 3 mins. Some shops near the gate as well as info center. The station is itself a small walk insides. Lifts for disabled for every platform. Everything is clean and in working order showing a perfect German engineering attitude. Excellent work.

One of the worst train stations I have travel to in Germany. Always in construction, super dirty, full of weird people, poor selection for eating or shopping, and the personal is super impolite (they don’t simply care). At night is it a scary place, where you usually find drunk people, broken glass everywhere, homeless people (sleeping, peeing, begging for money), and of course everything closed. So sad it is the first thing you see from the city… just arrive there and go as fast as you can to the city. Nothing to see here.

My trains have been late 3 out of 3 times and platforms have suddenly been changed without any information being given in English or other languages than German. The world is larger than Germany and not all of us speak 100% German 😅🙆‍♂️

Typical railway station with easy navigation. But it seemed to be a little bit more dirty in comparison with Bremen and Hannover stations. Like in many German railway stations, inside there are many Ritter Sport ads. Just near the entrance to the station, there is a stop of the AirportExpress bus.

Very nice and organized place even in the corona situation. Very Clean also.

Great architecture and very easy to get to/from. Great location in the city. It’s very close to the football museum and within walking distance of the Westfalenstadion(around 40min).

Currently a big construction site. Pls check the plattform of your train prior arrival/departure. If you need a bathroom, make sure you have one EURO to pay for it. Very clean and you get a Cent Voucher to redeem if you buy anything from EURO 2.50 at some shops inside the station. At the north entrance/exit is a fast test centre for complimentary Corona tests.

Busiest Station among many other stations in NRW. Multiple trains and connections available from here and accompanied by a near by Bus station behind the station

You think of Germany as a first world, advanced country, but coming here you are reminded that it isn't. Airport express bus doesn't take cards, when you ask the staff in info centre of Hbf where to buy tickets, they tell you you can use a card. When you try to use a ticket machine to buy a ticket there is no ticket option for the bus. When you try to withdraw money from an ATM it's broken When you ask someone in a store if you can withdraw money using your card they say no. When you order a 34 euro taxi, the driver will cancel within 3 minutes of its arrival if you haven't sprinted to his door. The whole area of Dortmund looks very degenerate, there are drunks, drug addicts, and there are no natives around. The people that are around will probably try to rob you. Dangerous place to walk around

Been under construction for over a year and a half now - huge discomfort if you're changing to a metro from a long distance train and vice-versa.

How can you have a tracks that are not accessible from inside the station and without any signs to tell you where to go. Good luck catching your train and don't get robbed waiting for the next train.

Sometimes too crowded. There are many supermarkets and outlets both in the station and at walkable distances. WiFi sometimes not so reliable too. Overall, four stars

Super location to roam and to have nice snacks and food

Even under construction this is a nice train station. The only problem is all the people outside sitting there and begging.
