Malto is the smallest beer brewery in Hamburg and it's something really special, something you would want to visit as a tourist! The beer is amazing, many different sorts the owner explained about the history of each one and the ingredients. The cozy atmosphere makes the experience smoother, food was made on the spot the music was nice and everything was very clean, Bravo Francesco ! i Will come again

Great vibes and fantastic beer. Besides their own Birrifico Shanghait beers they always offer a decent range of guest brewers. One of my favourite beer bars in Hamburg.

Really cool place. Very chilled - even better now opens at 1700 ;) Stefano a top bloke who really knows his beer - seems to be very few craft ale places in Hamburg so I wish this place all the best! Good luck with getting the brewery on site!

Friendly craft beer bar with a great selection of beers. Handy for the bus stop too. Of course, when you come back 4 years later for a second visit and they are closed for a 'private party' and you have walked through the snow from Altona you will be well hacked off!

Very good brew pub in Hamburg that is worth a stop. The beers they had on tap were delicious ( they didn't have their house IPA, but their American Pale Ale was a great substitute. At the time of our visit, they didn't have snack items for sale, but they didn't mind us with our bag of nuts. Prices were average for a brew pub; all together, this is a place worth visiting.

Without hyperbole: The best brewpub/ craftbeer bar in Hamburg! Malto offers everything you need to cure that thirst. Tasty and rich brewed beers (which the owner brews himself), good snacks and wines, also the option to order Pizza, make the Malto the best place for that Feierabend Bier you all so crave. The back entrance even has a small patio under the shade of trees and the overall ambience is perfectly harmonious. If you are visiting Hamburg or live anywhere in the city, go now and you will never regret anything in your life ever. Favourite beer: Medea

Excellent Biergarten, a good spectrum of in-house brewed beers, charming staff, and all in all definitely worth a visit or 10. Francesco, the owner and brewer, is a Renaissance man that really knows how to do anything, but above all brew amazing beer and create a wonderful quiet little paradise in the middle of the city

Saw the Ireland vs the all blacks here. The house beers are delicious and Stefano is a wonderful host doing a great thing. A highlight for hamburg.
