The lions clock tower stands right in the middle of the Rishi Road looking atop the busy traffic and scores of traffic passing by it every day.The structure is a heritage attraction with tourists flocking to see it.The clock tower works even today and was inaugurated way back in 2006 and the details can be found on the white marble board embellished on its side.

Heart of Kpg !!! When u at dis place do buy organic chewra (beaten rice) vegetables maize from our hard working boju (grandmother) bajay (grandfather) to get the real feel of our pahadi (hilly) food taste... Indeed it's the real heart of Kpg where one can feel the pace of Kpg life !!!

The one stop for street food; hot rolls, momos, phalays, tea, coffee, hot gossip, cool bystanders, local news, everything Kalimpong town has to offer circulates through this 6-way junction. Truly the heart of K Town!

What's there to say. Earlier this was known as MahaRani Chowk with Bust of Queen Victoria n Charatis Dispensary near by with Industrial Training Centre behind it. Later it was renamed with bust of respected Damber Singh Gurung member of the constituent Assembly installed. The Clock Tower before it replaced a traffic stand n is a "recent" addition. Early morning you will find labour etc waiting for hiring... Day time it's a popular point to meet friends n family. You have Gompus Restaurant nearby with Central Bank Of India in the Building near by. You can watch time n people go by refreshing your self with a cup oc tea or cold drink you can purchase from a restaurant just next to Damber Chowk

This is more of an emotional monument. Because this ain't used as a clock tower, more like a landmark. It doesn't have any use other than diverting the traffic into left and right. Apart from that. I don't think there is any use of it.

Busiest part of the town of Kalimpong, adorned with a Clock Tower... It's the junction of six ways, so the Traffic police is always there to ensure smooth plying of vehicles... A portion of the stretch of the road between Dumber Chowk and Thanadara can be used for parking vehicles...

Central 7 point crossing of Kalimpong. Very congested with 2 and 4 wheelers. Sound and car pollution. This however is the heart of Kalimpong town.
