It feels like you're living as a house guest of a well-heeled local. And you actually are. Dhiraj Gurung has a well maintained sprawling property where he also lives with family in one part of the house. The rooms at the back, especially room 28 upwards have very good views of the Kanchanzangha range. On a clear day, you can sit out at the balcony and look out forever. The service is very efficient, the food is excellent and reasonably priced. They make a killer cappuccino. On my first evening, I needed to go to town, but I had no vehicle. No cab could be arranged either. Dhiraj dropped us off and picked us up again after dinner, in an hour andahalf. Completely gratis. Such hosts are difficult to find. Five stars on all counts!!

Little far from main town of kalimpong but located at very quiet place. If you want to enjoy the nature this is the place. You can park your vehicles here . They have small garden. Staffs are very polite and supportive. Food menu is limited but they serve very tastey food. Price for room and food is also

Stayed here during Diwali week for 4 days with family. This was my first experience at a homestay/family run establishment. Everything exceed our expectations. Rooms were clean and cosy with good view of hills and Kanchenjungha range (if no clouds). The property is green and lush with beautiful lawn, swing, outdoor sitting area, reception with mini library etc. Wifi was smooth and food was tasty. Inspite of many staff on leave due to festivals, the owners were super involved to make the stay comfortable. The property is a 5 minute walk to a 100 year old monastery (Geden Tharpa Choling Monastery- a historical place of interest). It was a memorable experience, hope to come back again soon :)

If you want to be a loof from everything , good place to be. A simple place where i was little upset because of the cleanliness and the service which is very slow. Even they are not ready to serve indian breakfast at 8am in the morning.Rest the food is good. Place is little far from the city centre and on a little heights

The location is a bit on the edge of main city but the house is very beautiful. Very serene and mesmerizing views of the mountains from the deluxe room balconies. A garden with a gazebo sort of place where you can sit and enjoy the outdoor. A swing to swing away all your stress. Staff is very friendly and helpful too. A good place to stay if you want a chill place away from city congestion. The food was pretty good too. Do visit the monastery which is 5 mins walk from the house.

I stayed there for just one night. Mr Bhushan was too much cordial and helping. View from the balcony was good. Room was clean and the food we had was super.

We had recently visited Kalimpong and stayed in this property .. the property is very beautifull and mesmerising. The food and staffs behaviour was very polite and good . The only thing I felt was the cost of thalis were on higher side and should be kept a little more pocket friendly. Also we were informed about a Bonfire which we did a night before leaving that was quite pricey.. Bonfire set up costs us 1000 INR then we took a Chicken Barbeque that cost us 1500 INR also that night owner was a bit rude to us as we were around the set up till 9.45 pm ; which we did’nt feel good about. Otherwise overall it was a good experience.

Mr. Bhushan the manager was really helpful and reliable. He even arranged a car for us for pickup and drop to Siliguri. The food was like home, and the rooms are spacious and clean.

Overall, I give it a 3.5 out of 5. This property is located away from the hustle and bustle of the market. Overall, it is a very quiet and peaceful location. The view from the rooms was also fantastic. It is a warm and welcoming atmosphere with the owner (Mr. Thiraj) and his beautiful family caring for their guests. Breakfast is appetizing. Good wifi speed. Mr Bhushan, the manager, is the only drawback, with his misguided attitude. He ruined our only sight-seeing day by hooking us up with a rude and uninterested cab driver. Who charged us higher prices and showed no interest in taking us to places. And later pretended that he didn't do a thing.

We stayed 2 days..rooms are spacious..good view..from every room. The owner of this guest house is very polite young and gentlemen... Foods are little expensive.. There is a main problem is transportation..because the guest house is situated in high altitude ..main market is 2 to 3 km away and roads are very slanting...if you want to go to the market then you have to book a cab...and it will take 300+ 300 rs for up and down...

We could experience the amazing view of Kanchenjunga range from our bedroom. The breakfast was great. The staffs are very helpful. The room and the balcony were clean and spacious. The garden is too good to enjoy in a sunny morning. The location is on a hill and a bit far from the main market area of Kalimpong; they happily arranged taxis for us whenever required. The only improvement; a tea/coffee making facility in the room would have been great; otherwise the electric kettle has a very limited use.

We are treated by them like family members of their own Shikher guest house .....we enjoyed here too much.... their hospitality just awesome I don't have words to describe my experience and there behaviour just like wow right now we feel like that we know them very well in this sort of time with all of them there all are very nice and very kind hearted person owner Mr. thiraj gurung our beloved dada, and his wife our darling didi❤️ and his family they are very friendly with us ...we take from here lot's of love with us...we will visit soon and enjoy with quality time with you all.... Shikher Guest House, a family run hotel is located a kilometer away from the main town. All rooms are WiFi enabled with attached bath and balcony facing the Kanchenjunga mountain range. The hotel has a decent garden, lawn and car parking for up to 6 vehicles.

Well kept place nestled in the hill. Rooms are good, service is great but the host Mr Thiraj is the best. He will go out of his way to help you in any way you want! I am sure people keep coming back to this place because of the wonderful host in addition to its wonderfully done property.

Enjoyed every moment of my stay. The staff and the owner is super friendly. I happened to lose my bag on the way to the guest house and they helped me look for it 🤌🏼 Even the location is in a serene area😍😍Definitely recommend 💯

An ideal place for a staycation for people doing wfh. Fun park and Delo view point near by makes it best for people trying to avoid the main town. This is on the northern extremities of Kalimpong.

The view from the Room was wonderful .The staffs were very helpful and friendly and the food was also very good .Over all It was a pleasant stay here.

Shikher guest house is a beautiful, well maintained property for a peaceful, relaxing stay in Kalimpong. The staffs are kind and helpful. The view from the room balcony is great as the property is located pretty high in the mountains. You might need to get a reserve cab to get there as it is located a bit far from the city centre. Overall it's a great spot for your unwinding time in the serenity of nature.

Had spent a wonderful time at this place. Away from the town’s hustle bustle, this guest house is located in a warm and peaceful environment. The rooms are airy and cozy enough. Foods and services are also satisfactory. The view from the room is spectacular. One of the best places to spend the holidays.
