Inside Graham’s school campus. Surrounded by old school buildings and beautiful nature. A small 100 m walk on beaten pathway from this chapel leads to a breathtaking panoramic Himalayan mountain view on a clear day. The parasailing in the background adds to the scenic background. Not accessible easily by vehicles and had to climb the hill to reach here.

I wish I would have been an alumni of the school. Grahams home has eye catching scenery. To be visited only during winter as the students have a long holiday and they allow you to see inside and visit the school. The chapel is located inside the school.

Scottish style chapel situated inside Dr. Grahams Home which was built in 1925 in memory of Katherine Graham, Wife of Dr. Graham. Silent and Peacefull place to visit. As its situated inside a school compound, Tourists are not allowed inside the compound during school hours.

A beautiful church on a hilltop within the premise of Graham's Homes. Gives a commandeering view of the entire boring school and the adjacent hills. Old school architecture a treat for the eyes. However maintenance can be better.

A great historical heritage where to relax in the nature. The surrounding is very well kept, but the church would need some renovation works

Katherine Graham Memorial Chapel, Deolo, Kalimpong, West Bengal – India Katharine Graham Memorial Chapel: It falls on the way from Gangtok to Kalimpong. Considered to be the oldest church here, the chapel was inaugurated on 24 September 1925, and was dedicated to the memory of Dr Graham's wife, Katharine Graham. Kalimpong is a famous hill station. Which connects two hills Durpin and Deolo and is situated at an altitude of 5,590 feet. Mount Kanchenjunga, which is 28,169 feet high and the third highest peak in the world, is clearly visible from Kalimpong. The Darjeeling Tourism Heritage Commission decided to give heritage status to this old chapel in February 2018, and the work of its renovation was started, about Rs 5 crore was sanctioned for this project. It was estimated that the renovation work would be completed by April 18, 2018, but this did not happen and it is still under renovation, and as of March 2019 it was almost closed to tourists. To reach the church, you have to walk a long distance, starting from the entrance, through a road, sometimes through very narrow and steep paths. The Scottish style houses along the way, with the hills and trees around it, give the feel of a Scottish village. On the way, we come across a school established by Dr. Graham. If you are interested in history and social service, then definitely stop here and see how Dr. Graham, with his courage and passion to improve the society, transformed a small plant into a huge tree.
