An ancient temple dedicated to the worship of the Goddess Kali. Legend says that this temple exists since the time of the Pandavas. This temple is believed by the faithful to have immense power and that the Goddess blesses even the sinners who come here to seek absolution for their sins. There is a Gurudwara also inside the complex, whose origins are also quite ancient.

Jai Mata Di 🙏 Shri Kalka maa Mandir is dedicated to goddess Kalka or Kali, an incarnation of Durga. You should read the story of Kalka maa which destroyed Mahishasur, Chand-Munda, Shumbha-Nishumbha. Built by pandavas, this place is a must visit for all the people who need Maa's grace. She blesses even the sinful souls if they offer themselves to her. You must visit this temple if you are in kalka town. Note - There is gurudwara inside the temple. Gurudwara Pathsahi Pahali (where Gurujanak ji gave his first seekh to the people about integrity, love, grace. Waheguru 🙏❤️

Kali Mata Mandir at Panchkula is also called as Kalka Mandir which is a gateway to the eastern side of Himachal Pradesh. Actually Kalka is a town which is named because of Kali Mata Temple. This temple is one of the old shrines from Panchkula Temples.Kalka Mata Mandir is located in a quaint town located in Panchkula, Haryana, Kalka is named after Goddess Kali, one of the major Hindu deities. Nestled in the foothills of the enchanting Himalayas, it is the gateway to Himachal Pradesh. It is situated between Shimla and Chandigarh and is famous for its Kalka-Shimla Railway Terminus. The calmness, peace and tranquility offered by Kalka helps weary souls find respite from the stressful urban life.History of this Temple It got its name from Goddess Kali, the ruling deity of Kalka in Haryana. Haryana Kalka Mata Mandir is believed to have been built by the Pandavas. In 1843, the place was acquired by the East India Company from the princely state of Patiala. It was used as a depot and also a resting place on the way to Shimla. Later, it was shifted to Shimla and then to Ambala district. The major area of the city was developed by the erstwhile Rajput clan, who were called Chaudhary or Pundhir. It was snatched away by the British from the rulers of Patiala in the 1800s for rail development. This helped in the rapid economic development of the region. In 1903, it was opened as the Kalka-Shimla Railway. Today, it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Divine place. Try to reach the place via the highway as the road coming from the city is congested and goes through a market. Ample free space on the roadside outside the temple gate, however on weekends you have be Lucky to find a spot near to the gate. Though even on a weekend I did not get much rush. 10-15 mins all it took in the queue.

Jai Maa Kali!! Always approach from parvanoo side, it will be easier to drive. Also, Mandir's entry leads to Gurudwara as well. Mandir itself is an open display of Maa Kali in the centre of courtyard.

One of the oldest temples in my knowledge. The surrounding areas of Kalka, people host Kalka mata flags on their rooftop. My relatives lives nearby, so I have been visiting from delhi since childhood. Parking is roadside and could be difficult to find of festival days. It has slope for wheelchair accessibility but not easy to access inside area of temple by wheelchair. The adjacent gurudwara entrance has recently opened from the kalka temple main entrance. You can find both sikh and hindus visiting temple and gurudwara. Place is usually guarded with police constables at entrance. A local liquor shop has opened a few metres away on roadise parking area. Liquor shops should not have been allowed in the vicinity of places of worship.

A very old temple, quietly tucked away near the hills. I recommend you not to take the route via the town, instead take the highway route. The idol of Goddess Kali is awesome. It overpowers the entire temple.

Kali Mata temple Kalka is a very old temple. It is located at Panchkula-Shimla route. It takes around half hour or less to do darshan. There is a Gurudwara beside it, which can be also visited. Outside the temple, there are shops of stone items e.g. chakki, ukhal-musal etc, which is available in reasonable price.
