A
true
hidden
gem!
When
it
comes
to
natural
experience
with
minimum
or
absent
human
interference,
Vaikundam
Legacy
fits
the
bill.
I
was
a
little
anxious
when
I
made
the
booking
directly
on
their
website.
The
booking
process
was
straightforward
with
a
reasonable
cancellation
and
refund
policy
for
those
unexpected
circumstances.
The
nearly
century
old
colonial
period
cottage
is
hidden
away
in
the
middle
of
a
vast
rubber
plantation
that
stretches
for
miles
into
the
wilderness.
The
cottage
has
been
decorated
to
modern
standards
on
the
inside,
whilst
maintaining
the
colonial
architecture
exterior.
We
had
booked
two
rooms,
one
with
a
jacuzzi
and
other
one
a
standard
room.
Both
were
spacious,
with
decent
size
bathrooms
and
the
smaller
room
had
a
nice
sit
out
facing
the
garden
at
the
back.The
property
also
has
a
swimming
pool
which
was
well
maintained.
The
staff
were
professional
and
friendly
and
made
our
stay
very
pleasant.
The
rubber
plantation
offers
the
opportunity
to
walk
and
explore
nature
and
we
did
trek
up
to
the
view
point
within
their
grounds.
It
is
worth
the
experience.
The
food
is
basic
which
is
prepared
on
an
order
only
basis
apart
from
breakfast
that
is
a
limited
variety
buffet.
However,
it
was
tasty
and
one
cannot
complain
about
it.
One
can
easily
get
lost
in
admiring
the
quietness
of
the
property
as
there
are
only
6
rooms
and
there
is
no
option
for
non
residents
to
visit
the
restaurant.
Alcohol
is
not
available
on
site,
so
for
those
who
enjoy
a
tipple
it
is
best
to
prepare
in
advance.
I
really
liked
the
serene
and
tranquil
atmosphere
which
is
quite
rare
to
come
by.
I
will
definitely
visit
again
later
this
year.
Kudos
to
the
management
team.
They
even
posed
for
a
group
photo
and
were
willing
models
for
solo
shots
too.
