Lovely restaurant with romantic Indian vibes. We ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and vegetable biryani. All 3 dishes were nice, tasty and flavorful. However, we were shocked by the quantity of the biryani… very tiny. Both chicken plates quantities were good. Overall, the dishes were tasty. l loved how the plates and cup are beautifully engraved and the design of the restaurant. The staff were also very polite and friendly.

Isn’t so easy to find a good Indian, anywhere… but this restaurant it’s very good! I like that they don’t have many tables, it’s a quiet place, you enter and the incense surround you. All the waiters are attentive and the food quality it’s superb. Prices aren’t bad, maybe too high for local but definitely not for tourists. The attention to details left me wordless. The garlic bread was just too good, as the butter chicken and the biryani. Liked a little bit less their curry chicken style.

Introduced to me by my friend Merhan Zulfikar in late 2016, this is where I would escort guests to impress them with a luxurious ambiance, exquisite alcoholic cocktails, good music and a great expensive cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Suddenly it's not longer Eat & Barrel! Changed the name to "The Roof", changed the furniture to lower tasteless quality, changed the menu to lower cheaper cuisine, changed the entire staff altgough still friendly and lost their liquor license, which we all know, demotes the quality of any establishment. Saddest of all: The owner didn't change! He conscientiously chose to shoot his own Nile establishment at its foot! Why? Why? Why?

What not to love? It’s the best Indian restaurant in town, renovated and relocated overlooking the magnificent view of the great pyramids. A must try for sure. The Dal accompanied by garlic Nan and the butter chicken is to die for.

Food was very tasty but the reason I gave 2 star is because of their pathetic service. They definitely need better staff, we ordered a dish on the menu but the server asked us not to order since it is not good but we ordered anyways and that was the best dish chef made😜

This restaurant is located inside the Mena House Hotel (Marriott). I am not Indian myself so I cannot really tell you if it super authentic or not. However, what I can tell you that it was really really good. I only gave it 4 stars because the drinks were terrible. I ordered two different drinks and both didn't not taste good (as in I didn't not drink them). Service was good, but I have had better. If you are looking for some real good Indian food with an out of this world view, this is your go to place. You get to see the pyramids if you are seated outdoors. You cannot see the pyramids from most indoor tables.

Had a Paneer Makhani and Garlic Naan for starters. Tiny Tiny Portion sizeThe slabs of chese were too hard and the daal tasteless, besideds, the garlic naan had barely any garlic! For main course I had d Butter Chicken.....food wasnt tasty, lacking in presentation, not even worth half of its price. Good location and nice environment and decor, hence the 3 stars.

I had a wonderful experience eating Indian food at this 5-star restaurant. The Moghul Room offers high quality Indian food. All of the food was so flavorful! I especially loved the Lamb Biryani and Palak Paneer. Marian, the restaurant manager, was also very pleasant, friendly, and welcoming. She was so nice to talk to and even offered a complimentary dessert (Gulab Jamun), which was out of this world! For sure, this is the best Indian food that I have tried in Egypt. The ambiance of the place is also very authentic and serene. I am already planning my next trip to Mena House with some friends just for their delicious Indian food and quality service.

Good, not great food. You have to eat inside even though outside pyramid view tables are nice. Masala lassi arrived as unflavored Lassi. Masala Chai is flavored. Told I can have it spicy. They added chili powder. Much more expensive than googlemaps version of menu and getting an Uber back was a fail that instituted our new policy of only restaurants close to our hotel, which is not the Marriott.

My wife and I had dinner at the Moghul Room tonight and were not disappointed. We have eaten at many different Indian restaurant and this one was one of the best. The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the view was amazing. I highly recommend their Mango Lassi too! Note: the restaurant was a little tricky to find. Google Maps has it pinned to the hotel's parking lot but it is actually a little bit northest in the same building as the 139 Pavilion restaurant.

Just had dinner at the Moghul Room at the Mena House Marriott Cairo. Excellent. Had the Butter Chicken and butter nam. I could come back tomorrow and eat the same thing. The service was beyond great. And you can't go wrong with vanilla ice cream for desert.

THIS is the menu and food experience I was looking for. 139 was a bit of a let down but Moghul made a great recovery. Everything we ate was excellent and they asked us our heat preferences which was fantastic. We had the multiple meats platter with shrimp, lamp and chicken, palak panwer, saffron rice and other sides. It was a bit dark but I guess that's the ambiance they are going for. My older mom couldn't read the menu though lol, lights via cell phone worked out well. Perhaps they should think about lighted menus or lamps on the tables? Other then that I will eat here everyday if I could! 💜

Really bad service. Very disappointed. We called and we were told that we can walk-in and no reservation was required. We show up and the restaurant was less than 10% occupied. They tell me service is only with reservation. Another gentleman tells me it’s ok and they can serve. Once we sit we were asked to get out in 30 minutes. The waiters were not paying attention. The folks were rude. We had to rush to complete the food. All in all bad experience.
