The Sand is nice beautiful but gets very hot. There are some houseless folks over here but never a problem. It is a Small park and limited parking but nice. The beach can be steep and the back swell strong, which is not uncommon here in Hawaii. It had lifeguards and a bath house. Depending on the wind, the landfill smell can be strong. Nice reef to the left for snorkeling. You will find the golf balls.

Very nice beach. Homeless have taken over majority off park. Poorly maintained. I personally love the shorebreak here. Lifeguards and restroom available

Beach is frequented by lots of locals. Super nice ppl. Parking is a nightmare but if you can it. There are bathrooms and lots of picnic tables. Further along the beach away from the picnic tables it gets rockier. When I went there waves were great for body boarding. It does get deep pretty quickly. The locals told me you could go snorkeling and see a lot of fish because theres a hot water pipe that attracts them.

As of May 22nd 2020 there are currently no homeless in the park that was observed or camping out. The lifeguard station was active and there were two lifeguards on duty who were very aware of what was going on in the water as well as on the beach. There were only two or three families at the time we went which was around lunch time. We decided to do some fishing but the swimmers kept drifting near our lines so we had to pick up and move down some so our lines would not drift towards the swimmers. Visa versa...... Great beach...very clean. The bathroom facilities there were very clean as well. I would recommend this site for friends and family. Watch out for the rocks and coral to the left as you are looking out towarda the ocean (left). Someone could easily slip and get hurt. ALOHA!!! :)

Small beach and would be a really nice area if it was maintained. Sadly, there is a lot of trash around. Seems some folks tried to clean up but more trash accumulated. Some houseless folks set up camp here as well.

Beautiful view and could be a beautiful beach, but multiple squatter tents, and a ton of locals eating there with their families, and throwing all of their food wrappers on the beach. If it were cleaned up, would be a better rating. Skip it as it currently is tho, sketchy as most of this western shore beaches are

This beach is beautiful, white sands, crystal clear water and nice little areas with some shade. This park is perfect please for you and your family but I'm not the only person that thinks like this. If you want and spot you better get there early mean really early.

Very quiet beach. Stopped by for a quick swim. Saw a monk seal basking in the sun
