The Hawaii Pain Institute on Maui is the best! Everyone from the folks at reception to Dr. Henson and in between. Especially Ms. Natasha! Not only has she taken great care of my health, but she is also lovely to speak with at every visit. It’s rare to find a nurse practitioner that combines such personal touches and care for a patient. She never rushes your appointment and always listens closely to your concerns while explaining the options for your care. I highly recommend becoming her patient!!

No actual M.D. on staff so you see Natasha Murray, a "child" who only has 4 years experience IN SPORTS MEDICINE!! NOT pain management so she's trying to be "Ms. Opioid reduction girl" at the cost of chronic pain patient's losing the ability to live a daily life. Trying to impress Jerald Garcia who has "little man syndrome" and should NOT be in pain management. Go see a psychiatrist Jerald. You have personality and anger issue's you unprofessional mean little boy.

I was poked so many times I just got bills and no relief. I was told they are just supposed to be the bandaid people. I have had this pain since 2018 and with every procedure they said they were eliminating what it could be. Then they sent me back to who referred me. It’s unbelievable the painful procedures I went through and for nothing just bills. They had no one on staff to speak with about the bills. They said their billing department was in the Philippines so I would just have to keep calling. The made me pay a co pay for a procedure and didn’t do it but didn’t refund any of it. Just sad. I also was prescribed nerve pain medication that I at the time was already on for my sciatica but my pain is not nerve pain I was seeing them for. So disappointed.

As I get older I have more Drs but none more treasured and appreciated than Dr Murray. Chronic pain needs a kind of working relationship with a dr. that is hard to forge and it’s easy to forget the human amidst the the pain. Dr Murray treats the whole patient and really listens. The Maui staff is so exceptional… from making appointments to helping with med / insurance questions. I truly am grateful for the entire staff and my quality of life is so much better because of them. I highly recommend them!

I have had botox injections, ablation, facet joint injections, and the staff at the Mau office is always professional and at the same time fun, they try to put you at ease the minute you walk in the door..

Natasha Murray is an excellent clinical operator. The two woman who greet and help with scheduling and health tasks in getting the patients visit . I feel they work well as a team with Natasha leading the clinics appointments. I have had two surgeries this year and was very glad to have the support this group of staff in my quest to heal and be able to live my life as a Older adult with a team of people working to make that a reality.

Natasha is one of a kind. She always greets me and my wife with a smile on her face. She is very courteous, compassionate, professional and patient. You can tell how much she loves her job. We need more Natasha’s in this world!

I can’t even begin to find the words to express how grateful I am to have become an established patient at Hawaii Institute for Pain. After having a bad-potentially dangerous- experience with a different pain clinic on island, I didn’t believe that I’d find any pain management specialist who would care for me properly. Due to a very rare medical condition and a multitude of other problems that seem to never stop piling on, my health is difficult to understand and especially tricky to find the best ways to help manage my pain, while keeping in mind that I’m young and don’t want to be loaded up on pills that only mask a portion of my pain. The doctors here have proven time and time again, that they truly care about helping me. They LISTEN to me, teach me, guide me, and give me HOPE. They find the right combination of meds to help take the edge off of my endless, constant pain. They are able to isolate and diagnose the different areas of pain that I have and refer me to specialists to treat various conditions. They are knowledgeable in their profession, and will even go out of their way to understand what I need. It’ll be a long road of recovery, possibly just a long road of dealing with chronic pain, but I’m happy to have pain specialists that care about me. I know in my heart that I wouldn’t be alive if not for these ladies and all of the work they do for their patients. You can trust this clinic. My only advice is with chronic pain, no matter how severe, you have to learn patience. I know, it’s INCREDIBLY hard to have patience when you’re in constant pain, but getting agitated only makes it worse. It takes time to find the right solutions. It’s easy to give up. Just know that these ladies won’t give up on you. P.S. (it was very, VERY painful for me to write this review….so, you should take that as an indication of how sincerely I mean those words. I love the doctors and staff at this clinic. They’re always so kind, and no matter how much negative energy lingers around those of us in pain, the entire staff seems to radiate positivity and good vibes. I look forward to seeing everyone when I come in.)
