OMG I love Maui Mike's! Talk about a good chicken sandwich. I recommend the Mike's melt. The looks might not be there but the taste definitely is. If you love hot sandwiches I would come here for a chicken one.

We stopped here after our Pillbox Lanikai hike. The place is small with a few tables inside and outside. We opted with the quarter chicken. It was very delicious. The chicken was so tender and juicy. They also have a nice selections of sauces to try with the chicken. FYI, orders are made to order so be patient.

We found this place on Google and the reviews don’t lie - the food here is delicious! After a morning at Lanikai and walking back to our car at Kailua Beach, we were famished. I ordered the quarter chicken with brown rice, and teriyaki sauce on the side. The chicken was so flavorful and juicy! My partner ordered the bacon melt with ranch and Cajun fries as his side dish. Super tasty too! There’s no indoor eating so we took it up to the Pali Scenic Lookout and ate in our car. I’m so glad they gave us some moist towelettes because my hands were coated with chicken deliciousness!

The food was AHH-MAZING! My husband and I had a BBQ and Bacon Sandwich Melt (except mine was with Ranch). We also got a half of chicken and I must say, it was delicious. The added benefit is that they use chicken with no hormones or antibiotics. There is not MSG. And the chicken is fresh and not frozen. My husband and I truly enjoyed it and would HIGHLY recommend this place.

Maui Mike's is so good! We visited this island for 4 days and we at here for 3 different meals! It's so good!!! The chicken falls right off the bone, and the fires are so good. The original Mike's fries are our favorite, and we even tried Cajun and sweet potato fries. It's also celiac/GF safe! She's eaten it three separate times with no issues. Definitely try this at least once while you're here, it's amazing chicken!

Good food but rude customer service. First time visiting this Maui Mike's thanks to friends recommending it's delicious chicken. The food was delicious and really really hot so be careful before your first bite!! We would go back again however the girl taking orders around 4pm on 9/24/2023 was clearly not in a good mood and had an attitude. She was very snappy with us and every customer after us, along with eye rolls and facial expressions that showed she was not happy 🤷🏻‍♀️ and not happy she had to do her job. Also while we were eating an elderly woman with a walker came in and wanted to order so she was asking about the food, like what came on it and such because I don't think she could read the small print on the board and the girl taking the order kept sighing and looking annoyed with her. After the elderly lady left the girl taking the order immediately turned around and started bad mouthing the situation. I understand that not everyday is wonderful especially at work but you can fake it especially if you want repeat customers and for people to recommend your establishment.

Absolutely amazing chicken. Just wow. Took a trip to Kailua and stumbled upon Maui Mike's while parking in the Enchanted Lake Center. Pretty good amount of parking, but it could probably get busy after work or during peak hours. We ordered the Mike's Melt Sandwich and a side of Mike's Fries. The sandwich is one the tastiest (and guiltiest) sandwiches I've eaten this year so far. The bread was soft, the bacon was tasty, the cheese melted on top was pure perfection, and the ranch sauce complimented the meat and cheese so well. The star of the show was the chicken. They don't spout any nonsense about their chickens - it tasted fresh, natural, tender, and well-marinated. I hope to achieve the level of perfection this chicken had one day. But for now, I'll just have to come back and treat myself. The Mike's Fries were very good as well. Seasoned with some kind of spices, it was crispy, thin, and very well-paired with the dipping sauce. Splendid! Prices are about average for sandwiches. But man, it was worth every single penny, down to the 4.712% tax. Truly an unforgettable sandwich I must have soon again. I know this might sound over-exaggerated but I am really blown away by their chicken. If you're in the area, you should do yourself a favor and try their mouthwatering, soft, tender, marinated chicken that will haunt you in your sleep (just kidding).

OMG! Best chicken I have had in years! Very reasonable price for quality and quantity. I went back 3 times. Moist and delicious every time! It’s a hidden gem. If you love chicken and chicken skin... Make sure to visit Maui Mike’s while in Kailua. My one suggestion would be to request that they put the fries in a separate container if you get it to go. Otherwise the fries get soggy under the chicken.

The chicken was well cooked, or should I say cooked well, as in appropriately. I had the wing special, they are whole wings straight of the roasted bird. Tender. The Cajun fries had a hint of dill or something, a bit odd for me. Sauces good. Prices good. Very little indoor seating. I would go back for sure.

Love this place. Came across Maui Mikes about a month ago and have already been half a dozen times. Bang for your buck, flavors are amazing and fresh, the chicken is high quality and always moist and fresh. Highly recommend the ranch chicken sandwich and the half chicken. All their fries are amazing. And their honey mustard is insane.

This place was great! We had a couple sandwiches and some wings. The sandwiches hit the spot. The wings were great too. I wish we had it in Arizona.

I don't know why I've never eaten here before last month... I've lived in Kailua for years and visit the Starbucks next door 3-4 times a week. This place is great! The food is tasty, the staff is great and its in a super convenient location. One of my new togo places for a quick bite in Kailua. I definitely recommend trying them if you like chicken!

Woooow. We just kk d of randomly chose a place to eat on our way to some hikes. Still in COVid mode with no dine in, but we took to go and ate in the car. There are several meal options. We were tempted to just go with basic chicken meals but ended up getting the Mikes Melt meal and the Pulled BBQ chicken meal special. Both were mind blowing. Added the Smokey BBQ and the Lava (buffalo like sauce) both sandwiches were delicious. Hoping we get to come back before we leave the island

On our way to the Dole plantation, my family and I decided to stop in for a bite to eat! Parking is available in the plaza next door. The restaurant is a made to order establishment, so food is guaranteed to be fresh. My sister and I opted for a Mike’s Melt with a side of baked beans and cole slaw. I also opted for a side of the Smokey BBQ sauce. My niece ordered the shredded chicken breast. Our food took about 15min to prepare. It is Picnic table style seating inside. Food upon first glance looked amazing. Overall taste, delicious and mouth watering. All the sides included and the bbq sauce just complemented the meal well! Great place! I definitely recommend checking them out!

Celiac friendly local establishment. Their menu is almost completely gluten free. We ordered chicken with smokey BBQ sauce and fries. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. This was a treat to find as celiac safe places can be hard to come by while vacationing in Oahu.

Loved this place, a small shop that is basically set up for to go orders. They do have a few booths, but I would say 99% of their business is carryout. The chicken we ordered was crispy on the outside but juicy and tasty throughout. We ordered whole chickens for 6 and were not disappointed. I did not order enough hot sauce a mistake I will not make again. Loved the amount of food we received for the price we paid.

We were regulars to Maui Mike's before covid, but this is our first time being back since then and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the continued quality of the food and service. [FOOD] The CHICKEN today was hot and juicy, and the flavors were amazing. I especially love playing with the different sauces. The coleslaw is good but after dabbing some LAVA SAUCE on it made it so much more awesome! The heat from the sauce combined with cold of the coleslaw just went together. [SERVICE] The service tonight was friendly and efficient, the food came out fast with little wait especially considering how much food we ordered. Overall, I highly recommend Maui Mike's to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable meal. 5 stars!

I has the smoky BBQ and honey mustard sauces with my meal, I liked both more than similar sauces from other establishments.

Enjoyed the feast, which included a whole chicken and two delectable dipping sauces. The chicken was absolutely amazing! Mike's fries were a delightful complement, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend trying the barbecue sweet and the barbecue smoky dipping sauces.

Really great all natural roasted chicken! The sandwiches are amazing, probably not the healthiest option, but definitely worth the calories! Three stars due to the service here. Sometimes the workers will be attentive and amiable, other times they act like they don't want to give you the time of day. Once, I put in an online pick up order and when I got there the workers had just cancelled it because it was half an hour to closing time. No one informed me, and I had to ask for some type of compensation because the manager was useless with an apology or righting the situation. I left with no food that night but at least I could get a free sandwich at my next visit. Love the food, service could be improved!

Hits the spot right after a fun morning at the beach. Super friendly staff serving up some of the finest rotisserie chicken. Fries are crisp and not greasy. Atmosphere is a little loud but festive. Seating is ample for about 30 people. Outdoor seating too. We ordered the feast which is a whole chicken cut into eighths, with 2 sides and four sauces = $18.59. They make melts too. Totally worth it!

This is one of the best restaurants on the island. Had the Quarter Chicken and Mike's Melt. The Lava Hot sauce was very good. The seasoned fries are very good. The staff were very friendly. They gave great recommendations for the island.

Really bad experience today. Ordered with a party of 4. After about 15 mins they served 1 of the 4 of us, then they started filling online orders instead of working on our other 3. Our lone person with food waited awhile to be polite, but eventually had to start eating alone since it was getting cold. OVER A HALF HOUR LATER they served the last 3 of us. Really awkward and rude of them to make us sit there, 1/4 with food, while they made no less than 4 online orders in a row instead of finishing us.

I love Maui Mike's. I am a creature of habit and always get #3. A shredded chicken breast and order sweet potato fries and the smoke bbq sauce. The chicken is moist and delicious and the sweet potato fries are made to order so they're piping hot, lightly salted and perfect. Some of the best I've ever had. If you're in Honolulu it's worth the drive to either location.
