I have been going to this place for at least the past 35 years. In fact I helped tile the baby pool with my father when I was about 10 years old. (recently been retiled). I now take my kids to swimming lessons every week and have done this for the past 4 to 5 years. My father still meets me up here most weeks. The tutors are excellent, have had several over the years. Great times, great memories.

I really like this place, however I don’t understand why there are kids at the pools after 8pm. Can adults get some time to themselves? For at least an hr? Kids screaming and parents screaming at each other around 8:30-9:30 is so painful. Also one recommendation would be instead of having a hot sauna and a “cooler” sauna, have a quiet one and a talking one, so some of us can relax. The “cooler” one is often more hot anyway! And I have had a number of items stolen, please look into getting security cameras installed. Thanks.

Always come here on school holidays and the kids enjoy soaking and playing for hours. Just limited space for them to swim in one lane but I am glad it is free entry for kids!

Good swimming class for kids. The swimming pool is big enough. Check with them before going there for a swim as some time might find it close for class. They have floating belt and floties available for every There is hot pool

This has a fab gym, spread across two floors. Also nice to have two saunas (don't forget your towel). I've always found it to be clean here. Exercise timetable changes quite frequently which is good and bad. Evening Pilates is going which makes me sad. Olga who runs the Pilates class is fantastic. If you can go in the day there is lots of classes. Some evening ones but finish quite early. In the evening there is children's swimming lessons when I'm typically there, so not all the pool is available. Check their timetable if you want a quieter swim/hot soak. Can be hard to find parking in front but there is mall parking next door. Really close to Glenfield Road bus stop too.

Ive been a member of this gym for a while, unfortunately it has been hard for me to want to workout here again because the smell is getting increasingly worse. The moment I walk through the doors a very unpleasent smell comes overwhelmingly from the gym and office area. Im not sure if this is a mold or Sewerage problem? But I am surprised no one has said anything about it. Last time I was there it took a while for me to get over the smell during my workout. The womens bathroom also always runs out of hand wipes in the afternoon which is also unpleasent when coming from the bathroom. I hope these things will change in the future as I did enjoy coming to this gym

The reception staff exhibit rudeness and a lack of professionalism, while the life-guards appear to be more interested in socializing with female patrons than properly monitoring the pool. The pool's overall usability is also compromised due to frequent closures of half the pool for the private swimming schools, resulting in over-crowding and limited opportunities for decent swimming. The changing rooms are also inadequately maintained in terms of sanitation, with noticeable uncleanliness and lack of upkeep. The toilets are particularly unsanitary and often found to be dirty.

Big improvements since our last time there, the pool is clean and the way it's set up there is space for swimming and for water polo games. Plenty of life guards on watch. I thought the dressing rooms were a bit crowded though, and with so many little kids there should be an area for families.

As much as I enjoy the facility, it is very disappointing that time after time, everytime I visit the pools with my daughter - I observe the 4-6 lifeguards on-duty, standing in a circle having a chat and looking at their phones for the couple of hours I am there. No eyes on the pool, no quality control and no life guarding. Reckless and disruptive behaviour goes unnoticed, more than once I've had to speak with other kids and parents about rough behaviour and jumping in the pool on or around toddlers and babies. Just the other day, I assisted a kid who was having trouble in the lane pool. Where was the life-guard? Not in the seat or watching over the pool, but oh yes of course - group convo standing in a circle looking at the floor or their phones. If there was a better quality of staff who took their job seriously and a better level of customer service, I'd give 5 star as the facility itself is great. The Takapuna facility is no where near as good, yet the staff are far better and the life guards actually take the job seriously. 5 stars for Taka.

Joined group fitness class and it was the best choice! A lot of classes, happy & active vibes and the instructors are so inspiring and motivating! Certainly the best group fitness in Albany & Glenfield areas. Highly recommended

Love the sauna and pool, although the pool gets a bit crowded and most of the lanes booked out for swimming lessons. I feel the kids could be condensed into two lanes max for lessons as they usually only have around 2 or 3 kids in each lane spread over 3 lanes. There is also no care factor of people using the right lanes for there level of ability , so you will find really slow people in the fast swim lane.

We went there to play squash on sunday afternoon. We are the only players on the squash court. There were 5 courts, one of them looked like they had not been used as a court because they removed the back glass, the next one lots of stuff inside the court and definitely cannot be used. Hence left 3 courts and from 3 of the courts, 2 of them looked like they were chips on the wall and the last one we used was also not very good condition but still usable to play. I wonder why Auckland Council did not look after the court, was it because not many people used it? I hope my next visit, all of the courts are usable.

The lifeguards are so lovely and one lady in particular (wish I got her name!) was so good with my autistic son, will definitely be back :)

A public leisure centre run by Auckland Council. You can have gym activities, swimming and sauna there. A good place for indoor activities especially if you live in arround Glenfield, North Shore, Auckland.

Really lovely place. We enjoyed how deep the main pool was and the young ones loved the kiddies pool. The hot spa was an added bonus too. Next time we'll give the diving boards a go and hopefully the hydroslide will be up and running

Denied entry because it's at capacity, yet they done closed off half the pools and saunas anyway 😭 Tryna make you wait 30 mins in queue till someone leaves. 🤣

Been twice its OK but bit annoying short time in the spa pool. Second time no sauna no steam room and the spa was Luke warm mainly no bubble time so was disappointed especially for $8 for amenities not available.

Could cater to a lot of people. Children's pool is heated while the adult pool is spacious including the spa & sauna.

Great gym and Les Mills classes. They give personal training instructions for those with a membership. Facilities are relatively clean but some people aren't so depending when you visit depends how clean it is. It has a spa, sauna and pool.

Note they say they close at say 7pm on Sunday, but you have to be out of the pool, sauna, Spa and steam room by 30 mins earlier than the close time advertised. Note that the steam room is not as steamy or hot as the Takapuna Pools steam room.

Overall it’s a nice place to swim, doing exercises or just sauna relaxation. Also they have wide variety of classes like yoga, body balance and other. Downside of this center is messy changing rooms with pile of rubbish sometimes. And it’s not a cleaning problem only, it’s lack of simple signs “Do not litter!”

A big thumbs up to the great lifeguard today, she jumped to the pool so fast and save a drowning boy in seconds. Very professional and luckily, the kid is fine due to her rapid action.

Awesome staff and facilities. The classes are good to for mixing it up a bit too. Reasonable membership fees are worth the money.

Driving boards open, even if slide not going due to Covid. A great facility to bring the family for a swim or water play.

Called 11.53am to check whether diving boards were open. Was told yes from 12-4pm. Drove for over an hour to get there. They closed it down at 3pm with “last minute staffing issues”. Not impressed. I was Offered a free $4.50 pass for next time. No thanks, that won’t cover my $70 gas bill.

A very affordable leisure option with fantastic, knowledgeable personal trainers (especially Omar) who is moving on, always there to support you. I found it especially valuable as this is the first time in my life I have been to a gym.

The gym feels more modern after recent refurbishment. The new state of the art equipment on the main level made it more appealing for gym goers. Love the new treadmills with virtual runs of cities around the world. Definitely worth a membership.
