There are not enough counters there for when it's busy. Either that or not enough staff. Also I often have disputes about pricing as they advertise the price/specials in hard form but their system still has it at regular price.

Usual shopping experience here. Arrived just before closing so was a quick shop. Place only had a couple of customers.

It's our local, but it's the worst Countdown I've been to lately, certainly on the shore and most of the rest of Auckland. Think they must be waiting for the Northcote development to renovate. Tired, run down inside. Old decor. Not dirty, though, and had all the basics.

Late March 2023 Having been a casual customer in recent years, it was pleasing to see improvements being made in the deli. Bakery section. In general the shop is clean and well stocked and the checkout process was pleasant.

Service not up to speed, cashier counter close especially on peak hour, I believe the store is under staff, building is old, stock not too sure are fresh or not, the store require improvement , and management too

It's a nice local store with a decent selection and a good size (it's one of what I'd call the medium sized stores - bigger than Halsey Street but smaller than Manukau) The staff are lovely and very helpful whenever you have a request. The store is well signposted and I've had very little issue locating items that I've been after. Even when I have, a quick question to one of the staff has been quick and effective. I will mention here that there are no self-checkout lanes. Personally, I prefer being able to check my own items out but I will say that it hasn't stopped me from going there just as often. Talking with those behind the checkouts has actually become a bit of a highlight for the trip as they're personable and friendly. I'm pretty sure I've been remembered over multiple visits as well which is nice :) Overall, great store. Have definitely enjoyed shopping here given how quick and easy it's been

Heaps of stuff on SPECIALS. Looks big from inside. Very clean. Fast checkout. Heaps of parking

Came in around 9pm, entrance was closed and I had to enter through the exit. Tried to buy some wine and was told I needed to produce ID yet was clearly of age. Attendant kept saying "maybe next time" really not good service here, avoid if possible.

As a diabetic, I can generally rely on Countdown to supply all of my grocery requirements. I appreciate that I am able to locate everything in one store. I have also noticed how friendly and helpful the staff are, making shopping a pleasurable experience. Thank you.

Pleasant, bit weary of people stopping mid aisle and turning round. Parking is a breeze, good memories of Northcote when l was a youngster, 55 years ago.

This count down is like most count down's in my opinion I just don't see the difference is expect for the fact that one countdown can be cheaper than the other

The staff here need more training. The cashier shortchanged me by 50 cents, and when I was asking for it, she was quite arrogant and was like ‘oh it’s only 50 cent.’ So you gave me the wrong month and laughed at me for asking it back?? What kind of customer service is this, can’t you just do your job appropriately??

The shop is okay, needs more counter staff or self serve. It also went through a period of slow shelf stocking.

Regulation countdown store, large enough to have all the Online listed items available on shelves. The layout is nice and easy. The location is easily accessible and an integral part of the Northcote shopping center. Staff are nice and helpful. Simple parking is available in the shopping area.

I've used this countdown in 2019, when I studied there. I visited around just before 9pm. There staff were catching up and laughing, it was a very pleasurable experience. Everybody was winding down but doing the work. Even the cashier said pleasenteries, even though I know it's part of the work code, it didn't make way to a more meaningful conversation. It's understandable though, since it's closing soon. All in all, I've had great experiences here, and there's an Westpac ATM at the front door. Very useful
