we had the best holiday, staying in the pine beach campground option was the best ever, office team really warm and friendly, night security guys the best, always happy and friendly, and also wanted to thank to the lady which clean the toilets at the campground, she did a hard work everyday to maintain those toilet clean, and she had all my respect. The lakes are amazing, clear, fresh and warmest water in NZ, wonderful place to no be missed.

Squeaky white sand and crystal clear water that then dips down to the dark blue - they say up to 100 meters. There is also a platoon there so that you can jump into the warm water while being able to see the bottom 15 meters down. The camp ground is good, it is nice and flat. The toilets are good. I recommend a walk up to the top of the hill where you will be able to see both lakes.

Had 2 days camping experience at Pine Beach. We had a lot fun! I love the white sand and the warm water. I had seen the galaxy and many shining stars in the night. Highly recommend this to anyone.

At the weekends in summer this turns into party town for some. We have had an irritating beat blasting out all day and it hasn't stopped by 9.30. This is supposed to be a relaxing place but tonight it is disco central. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Nice lake, but the staff member we met beginning of last year was extremely rude, they need train staff how to communicate politely with visitors, hope it can be better.
