#Warning 🔪🔪🔪 I am a Finnish citizen of Iraqi origin. I traveled to Tunisia for tourism. I was longing for an Arab country after being away for 16 years. When I arrived at Carthage International Airport in Tunisia, I was surprised??? When I returned to my country, Finland, at the airport they took 2,500,000 and five hundred euros from me On the basis that this amount is prohibited here in Tunisia I went to complain to the Finnish embassy and they asked him for an official complaint from the police station. When I went to file a complaint at the Tunisian police station, they refused and expelled me. I lost the money and did not receive the money. Beware of all Arabs, my brothers, do not go to Tunisia so that their rights are not stolen. God is as I say a martyr. My greetings to everyone. I will post the official papers and evidence. Anyone who has this situation, please write in the comments. Greetings to everyone

Okay. Beware the office is not where you think it is. The same building with the big tourist sign but not at the door that has the tourist sign. It's the 2nd pathway with the photo attached. Also if Tunisia wants international tourism $$ they need to get with International Language signage, need to display tram instructions, locations in a paper map or send data to Google Maps. All museums I have visited lacked International language signage. Also Taxi drivers need to be watched for price gouging.

As a US citizen with parents from Tunisia, the ministry of tourism has done NOTHING to address any issues with the unprofessionalism of the police force which is more like a local street gang then a professional law enforcement agency.

The ministry of tourism should try and fix the police issue in Tunis where the cops run around like theyre thugs running a local street gang. Especially in Meknassy, Sidi Bouzid. The ministry of tourism is lazy and does nothing.

A disaster ! 2 civil servants slumped on sofas, not caring at all about your request for a map of Tunis with an index of cities... Document out of print. Since when ?...!!! “Take a photo of the one on the wall!” Me: Thank you... Goodbye... Her: wow! Like current Tunis: on an XL downward slope...

I live in Évry-Courcouronnes, I see that with our taxes we pay for a bunch of jokers who smoke a cigarette every hour for 30 minutes which brings us back to 3h30 of actual work during the day... a time clock would be welcome to check hours worked. And we don't see what's going on internally. We will not talk about the guard who is hired to do nothing.

My name is Ahmed Boussarssar, I am a united states citizen and both of my parents are from Tunisia. We are currently on vacation since the 6th of June in Tunisia in order to visit family . An incident happened on the 11th of July in Al Miknasi a suburb town of the city of Sidi Bouzid. A plain clothed officers approached me and my father while we were out strolling in town. Here are the reasons for my one star review. 1. The officer refused to offer any police badges or I.D's proving that he was indeed a police officer. 2. He refused to offer any explanation as to why he stopped and demanded our ids. 3. They demanded we come with them in their police vehicle to the police station while also not offering any explanation why. 4. While at the station I was sitting down on the chair with my feet stretched out in front of me and another plain clothed officer in a harsh threatening tone demanded I pull my feet back because "I'm not lounging in a coffee shop" as he explained, despite the heavy use of cigarettes inside the station by the unproffesional police officers inside. 5. As they were "investigating" my father they asked absurd question like when did he start to pray and when he started to grow his beard. We both started to understand that it was because of the absurd reason that my father had a fully grown beard which caused them to stop us. 6. We still did not get a reason for all this humiliation and inconvenience that we experienced. Overall, the unprofessional conduct and disrespect from the police force ruined our vacation experience in Tunisia.

Visited Meknassy in Sidi Bouzid during my summer trip to Tunisia to visit some family. I was harassed and bothered by the police in this province of Meknassy who acted very unprofessional. They stopped me and my wife simply because I have a beard and my wife wears a hijab. They come up to you and talk very disrespectfully, demanding you hand them your ID without explaining why they are stopping you. When I came back in 2019 they took me and my son into their police car to the station and started asking me ridiculous questions there like "when did you start praying? How long did you pray for? Did your father used to pray?". Questions that only an unprofessional and an incompetent police force would ask. This time in 2023 they stopped us and claimed they just wanted to check who we were since we are new faces in the area. They demanded photo copies of our passports ,which they took last time in 2019, so there was no need to do it this time. The plain clothed police officers will also stop you and refuse to give any form of identification confirming they are a police officer. It's always constant harassment by them, even if you decide to just simply take a stroll around town. They will come, stop you, talk to you disrespectfully, sometimes even physically touch you, ask you ridiculous questions, tell you to come to the police station and waste your time and energy.

Since we are unable to communicate our impressions and remarks to the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism: Returning from a cruise, leaving from La Goulette and stopping in a few cities in Italy, France and Spain, the office or ministry of tourism organized a welcome show for cruise passengers: music and folk dances, camels and Tunisians disguised as Roman or Carthaginian soldiers? (what a brilliant idea)!. Poor image… Tourists, for their part, complain about the dirt and unsanitary conditions of the streets of Tunis.
