My husband and I shared an excellent dinner at Oroscopo Restaurant on a rainy night in December. We were staying at nearby Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens. Our spaghetti al pesto was rich and satisfying. Our grilled fresh sea bass (from the Greek specialties menu) was light and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous! Although we hadn't ordered it, our server brought us small bowls of potato and leek soup to warm us up from the cold and damp weather outside. Again, at the end of our meal, our server treated us to some dessert. We were very impressed by the service and quality of our experience. The bathroom (upstairs) was clean. We saw the staff follow excellent COVID-19 safety practices--for example, changing linens and disinfecting tables when customers were finished. We highly recommend this restaurant and would return.

Amazing food and service! I had pear of greek traditional cheese and grilled octopus. Food was so good, especially the pear of cheese was amazing. Complimentary soup and dessert were offered and they were great as well. I had to go back to get that cheese dish before I left Athen!! This time I did take away. While I was waiting they offered complimentary strawberry sorbet. It was yami :) I like that they are very generous and attentive to customers. The Staff were very kind and polite. The “pears” of local cheeses were incredible, the rest was also very very good and I can recommend them all. Definitely recommend the grilled octopus as well. Everyone receives a potato leek soup as a pre-appetizer just like that and it was also delicious. Dessert is included as well and consists of a variation of small cakes to share and ice cream cones covered in chocolate. OROSCOPO? More like, OOPS did you just scam me? We enjoyed the atmosphere, dishes, and attentive attitude of the waiters here. The only qualms I had were the size of the Greek salad, which cost the most out of all the Greek salads we ordered on our trip (12,80 euros), and the bread service. This is more for the upper management rather than the servers (because I know they don’t set the rules) but it was definitely incoming scam alert! While we were looking at menus, they delivered a plate of 6 slices of bread (3 flat ones, 3 round ones) and two small dips. We immediately surmised that this was not on the house. We saw on their menu in small print that it was 1,90 euros, which seemed a fair price for bread. However, at the end of our meal, the bill came and we saw that it was actually 7,60 euros for the bread. The waiter curtly explained that it was actually per person. Excuse me…where did you mention that it was per person on the menu?? We also noticed that the amount of bread that came out to each table was exactly the same, meaning that the amount of bread for two people and the amount of bread for four people would be still based on price per person. We felt really cheated because they did not mention that bread would be charged per person. In order to properly run a business, I suggest that you at least mention that bread is $1.90 per person on your menu so that your patrons don’t leave your restaurant with a bad feeling in their stomachs. BTW, if you are going to scam me for some bread, at least make sure that it’s piping hot and not cold?

Excellent restaurant for Greek and non Greek meals. Grilled Cheese Talagani, Smoked eggplant salad were our appetizers. Greek Salads and Capricorno salad were fresh and flavorful. For entrees- Chicken fillet in vacuum, beef/Black Angus steak, Mousaka were fantastic. Deserts are exquisite. Good wine and beer selections. Well worth the visit !

Dined there twice- do not usually do that on foreign countries unless it’s really really good. The food is terrific and very beautifully plated. This restaurant has the most amazing food and ambiance in Athens! The lamb was the best I have ever eaten. Do not miss trying the Octopus, it had a complexity of flavors, very tender and accompanied by a fava bean puree. A perfect way to end the day! Fabulous restaurant with the most friendly (Albanian) waiters I've met in Athens. All of their dishes are great, not the least the appetizers. The carpaccio and the moussaka get a big thumbs up. They also provide free dessert, but the big surprise was the gift of a bottle of their house red wine at the end. Nowhere have I experienced such generosity.

My husband and I had a delicious anniversary dinner here. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic! Our server brought us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary which was very nice! They brought us complimentary soup and bread with dips that were very good. Based on reviews, we ordered the "pear" cheeses with jams and they were unbelievably good! We also ordered the mozzarella stuffed meatballs with pesto appetizer and they were the best meatballs I've had in my entire life- and I'm Italian! They were juicy, soft and flavorful! I had pasta with roasted peppers and mushrooms in a cream sauce and it was delicious! For dessert, we were brought an assortment of 4 desserts that were also complimentary! The chocolate cone and strawberry cake were our favorites. For a soda, the prosecco, 2 apps, 2 pasta dinners and dessert, it only cost $55 eur since they include so many things. We had a great meal with great service. And we'll be talking about those meatballs forever! 😄

One of my favourite restaurants in Athens. Very warm and hospitable service. If you need gluten free food or you have other food intolerances, tell them and they’ll accommodate you. They even gave us free dessert for my husband, and a fruit platter for me (since I’m gluten free). Exceptional service. Excellent food. I’d return to eat here again. Husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary. 2nd time coming... we love it! Kind, friendly, attentive waiters who speak great English (I was even able to add salmon to the pesto pasta). Get the goat cheese pears appetizer - best thing on the menu. So unique with homemade jam! Seafood risotto is also really nicely done.
