The food was okay. I think the place is a little hyped online but the prices were good. A decent choice for someone that doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

Excellent food and service, also very cheap especially considering the great food. I alone ate for three people and could have eaten for four.

By far the best meal we have had on our European trip. The staff is beyond hospitable and the food is amazing! This is a third generation owned restaurant, and the love is evident in everything they do. It is off the beaten path and absolutely worth the trip if you are even remotely close. We will be back for another meal before we leave Athens. This was more than dinner, it was an authentic experience.

Lovely tavern, some of the very few remaining, reminiscent of an Athens that is now almost forgotten. The decoration internally is majestic and speaks to the heart of Athenian folk. The lamb chops are some of the best you can get in downtown Athens. The tavern also employees a yard next to the park which makes it a cool choice during warmer days. Recommended, ideal for bringing a friend from abroad, and the service makes it a 5/5 while otherwise it would be a 4/5. Keep it up folks! Will visit again.

Value for money place, since you get dishes at prices rarely seen in Athens. Daily dishes, so don't choose with the menu - just ask about what is fresh and could be served!

I live very nearby and have been to all the places in the area and neighbouring areas plus City Centre. Fair to say I might never have spotted this place otherwise, hidden in houses and not even lit up that well. However as a traditional, indeed old since 1954, taverna there is no better. Everything is acceptable and better, highlights are the best lamb chops in Athens and Nemea bulk wine not that easy to find- without doubt Greece's best. Not even on tripadvisor, a hidden gem

An old-fashioned taverna hidden away in a side street of Kaisariani serving decent inexpensive fare in surroundings from a bygone era,.

I fell in love with this "koutouki" from my first visit. I always make the effort to visit whenever I am on Athens. Amazing BBQ lamb. The house red is also really good. Great atmosphere......so nostalgic.
