If you don't speak fluent ENGLISH with an AUSSIE accent, reconsider staying here. During my recent stay at this hotel, I encountered an extremely unpleasant situation with the receptionist, JACKIE. It's crucial to address the racial discrimination and unacceptable treatment I faced. I called for a last-minute booking at 4 pm, as i found it is a bit far by driving to reach Perth downtown on the same day, our family decided to look for a place to stay overnight. When we called, Jackie was unwilling to assist, citing difficulties understanding my english accent. As an Asian born and raised in Canada, I was shocked by this explanation. She blamed the phone connection, leading to a sudden call disconnection. Jackie also insisted we should hurry coming to the hotel "because she had to go home soon," despite it being a reasonable 5 pm. Upon arrival, we received no proper greeting, and she seemed clueless about our earlier call, repeatedly confusing room availability. This led to unexpected additional charges, as she switched room options without clear explanations. When I sought clarification on room types, her response was dismissive: "DO YOU WANT THE ROOM OR NOT? IT WAS LONG DAY FOR ME I WANT TO GO HOME," accompanied by SIGHS AND EYE ROLLINGS. This level of customer service was entirely unacceptable and displayed a complete lack of respect. Additionally, after my payment, I asked about nearby supermarkets for food. Jackie closes the conversation with, "all shops are closed," and rushed us out. However, I quickly discovered that several shops were open at that time. Every customer deserves respect, regardless of their background or accent. Encountering such unprofessional, racist behavior was disheartening and rude. I hope the hotel management takes these issues seriously and acts promptly to improve the guest experience. I cannot recommend this hotel due to the terrible service I received from Jackie.

Rooms were lovely. Spa in bathroom a definite bonus. The restaurant however, was very poor. Only 18 people in restaurant, 3 wait staff. Over 1 hour wait for 6 Kirkpatrick oysters and a steak! Their excuse, we only have 1 chef on! Seriously? I can cook for 18 people! Was not a chef, a cook! Then to have to get up from my table to help a lady and her disabled husband get into the toilet was it! I mean, you cover a basic service with a screen. Not a single wheelchair can access that. You also cover it so no one can see there actually is a toilet. For your manager to then say, "It's removable, it's for aesthetic reasons" absolutely made my blood boil. "He could have asked for help". HE IS NOT A CHILD. It was embarrassing enough for the poor man, let alone to have to draw attention to the situation. I had to get up and help because A, your young waiter had no idea what to do and B, OUR TABLE WAS IN WAY! She could not move wheelchair in because our chairs were in way. $110 spent in your "restaurant ". Meal was just a meal. No offer of a free drink, dessert, nothing and when I asked if I could have soup, your waitress nearly had heart attack! Oh no, we can't add to your order. Seriously? It's in a pot! Put it in a bowl. Simple. Disgusted with service, food and the simple fact that a toilet is a basic need that is NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OFF, NOT NEEDING TO BE HIDDEN! Save your money, buy $100 of groceries at IGA and cook in your room!

Standard room as you would expect, clean, tidy and quiet. Parking is a bit squishy but manageable. Edit: yes you have permission to use my photos if you like.

We had a wonderful stay at Kalbarri Edge Resort. The room was dated but comfortable nevertheless, very clean. Plenty of space for two of us. No complaints at all. Restaurant was top class, excellent menu and 10/10 for presentation. Staff also earned 10/10. Would most definitely stay again.

Had a really comfortable stay at Kalbarri Edge with our kids. It was our first time staying here and we were very pleased with the facilities, how comfortable, clean, easily accessible this place is to everything. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Kalbarri. Thank you :)

Stayed 3 nights at edge resort for our mini honeymoon from the time we arrived we where greeted beautiful free bottle of wine for our honeymoon. The room was amazing clean perfect getting up and seeing kangaroos and emus on the verandah was amazing. Close to everything the only thing was because we didn't book a table for breakfast and didn't get much for breakfast not much left and got charged $20 each for breakfast which was confusing why I understand that they had buses in but I should off been still able to have a continental breakfast for $17

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights over Christmas 2023. The room we paid for wasn't cheap per night and expected much better service than what we experienced. We drove all day from Perth and were tired and wanted to get into our room and relax. Jacquie was on desk and wasn't that friendly to my boyfriend and was asking for credit card details which was already used for the booking. She was also patronising when we told her about toilet not flushing properly and told my boyfriend how much toilet paper to use. The room was spacious and we were grateful for the comfy bed, air-conditioning and ensure bathroom and mini kitchen and fridge. We also enjoyed the pool and BBQ facilities. When you pay lots of money to stay in a resort, you should be treated with consideration and respect.

We arrived at 7.20pm on a Friday night with no reservation after our accommodation in Port gregory turned out to be really awful. Even though the office was closed, the receptionist came down in the freezing cold and rain and helped us with a room which was a small miracle as most of Kalbarri was sold out and no one was answering their phones let alone their doors!! We were given a 2 bed apartment for our family of 5 which was absolutely beautiful. The rooms have everything you could need, including a spa in the master, bedding that feels like you're sleeping in a cloud, a dishwasher (because who wants to wash dishes while on holiday) and some little packs of biscuits which is a nice touch. The little balcony is also really lovely. The resort was booked out for the following night so we were given a late checkout to buy us some time to find other accommodation but we were pleasantly surprised to find that our receptionist had shuffled rooms to make sure we were able to continue our stay. Amazing service, beautiful rooms and great location. 11/10!!

Very comfortable accommodation. Housekeeping does an outstanding job at keeping the apartments super clean. All staff were super friendly. We will definitely be back !

Stayed here for 2 nights, and here’s the tea. I will put my honest opinions for the price point of the delux studio room my partner and I stayed in. If it wasn’t $340 (with a discount) I would say this was a great place to stay, but unfortunately, when comparing it with the price point, I cannot rave about it. I’ll put my points in pros and cons. PROS - Bed was SO comfortable. The sheets and the bed were really great and I had such great sleeps in the room! - Aircon was good and it was nice they attached the recommended temps - The microwave and such were fine, they worked as they should - Bathroom was nice (See cons though😅) - Overall was really nice stay and was what we needed I guess, a bed and aircon CONS (I’m comparing the room with the price which is why I may come across as picky, so please bare that in mind) - The bugs🥲 A cockroach was in our bathroom which was not a very nice surprise to open my toiletries bag to find it scurrying around. Found it again on the bed and nearly jumped out of my skin. We’ve been touring for 2 weeks in a swag and we had less bugs in the swag in comparison to the room. We didn’t leave any food out or anything, but above the exhaust fan in the bathroom was a hole so no wonder bugs got in. Not sure who thought having a hole for creatures and critters to get in was a good idea but here we are I guess. More dead bugs were beside the bed which was gross. I didnt realise paying $340 meant I’d get a set of free bugs on the side😅 - The fridge NOT freezer, froze EVERYTHING we put in it. My partner tried to have cereal and milk and the milk came out like a slushy. I was trying to eat my crackers and cheese and I was white knuckled pressing on the knife trying to get it through my newly frozen cheese icy pole. Not bad, just annoying I guess - The lamp shade and glass table was dirty when we got there which was ✨gross✨. Again, I paid $340 for a room that had dirt and grime, you’d think they’d put more effort into cleaning😅 - The walls were chipped and extremely thin so we could hear conversations outside and hear people walking down the stairs. Again, not the end of the world, but a bit of an inconvenience I guess. - Paid $340 and I had to do my own dishes and take my own bin out to ‘keep the bugs and beasties’ out (says their sign) yet that didn’t stop the said bugs and beasties from getting in. I guess the bugs didn’t get the memo. But still not great that we have to do that for the price point, I understand the dishes, but really having to take my own bin out? Do better for the price point. OVERALL Was a nice place to stay. BBQ was good and staff were friendly. If it was cheaper I’d definitely go back, but just isn’t worth it for the price point. If you’re looking for a room close to everything for a couple of nights, it’s definitely a good option, but unfortunately in my own personal opinion, I wasn’t able to rave about it.

Pretty good room but it was quite small. The shower heads were not very good. The toilet was small and had stains on the walls. Beds were well made and comfortable, with soft mattresses. The service was average. We had to empty the bins ourselves. There was also a note telling us that if we used the plates, we were to wash up ourselves and also put everything back in place. This shows the lack of adequate servicing in this place. The location was good because there were many scenic spots nearby and great food (The Gorges Cafe) was a few minutes drive away. Overall, this place is good for people that are not fussy about quality of accommodation. However, if you are looking for something that is of good standard, I would recommend to go elsewhere.

Great overnight stay . After a very hot day driving a swim in the lovely warm pool was much needed. Studio room had everything. We did have a problem booking through Agoda they didn’t have our correct names at reception or correct details very odd !

Great Location, rooms were spacious. Check in and check out was also very efficient. The staff at the resort could not help you more if they tried. They were friendly, efficient and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in from a hotel. The pool was also nice. The kitchen was great and well equipped, it was also very handy to have a full size fridge I would definitely recommend the Edge Resort. Things that could improve - the couches were uncomfortable to sit on, and the curtains and the dishwasher needed maintenance.

I booked a two bedroom and two bath ( with a spa in it ) for five people for 2 nights from 24October 2022 to 26 October 2022. I was quoted $309 per night but was charged $319 by the person named Maryanne who took my booking. Upon arrival, the connecting door to the other room was not opened and I had to get a get a key to open it. In my room, there was no shower gel and was given two bottles of hair conditioners instead. Anyway had to rush to the reception to get my supply of shower gel and insufficient towels before it was closed at 7 PM. I went to the reception wanting to purchase breakfast but was instead turned away and was informed that they was no cooked breakfast and there was no continental breakfast either. Had to walk to the town center to buy some breakfast from the Red Bluff bakery instaed. On the day of the day for checkout, I paid for my checkout. Prior to my checkout, I informed the person in charge by the name of Chris that I am paying on my direct debit card. I was given a receipt for the payment of $309 for the payment. I then asked Chris as to why I was charged differently when I was using the same card to pay for the rooms for the first night and also the second night. Chris said it was a mistake and I should not be charged $319 for the first night. So I asked for my $10 refund. She gave me a flat NO and said the company does not do refund. Is this the kind of service you have at Kalbarri Edge Resort??? Chris even had the audacity to ask me where did I get the keys to the connecting room and I told this intimidating woman that I was given one as the rooms were poorly prepared and the rooms were not connected. She implied that I should not be holding the keys and sounded like I , the guest should be penalized for the inadequacy of this stupid hotel! Honestly, your service and reception at the so called resort sucks. I would seriously advise to think twice about booking this place and especially dealing with the rude receptionist at the resort. The conditions of the rooms , bathrooms and the swimming pool are old and deplorable. Definitely not worth the monies that I paid for!

The food was exceptional. We landed there by mistake but wow did they deliver. We all had different meals and all were amazing and compliments to the chef, who hand delivered our meals! Even the cocktails were delicious. Thank you for making our last night in Kalbarri memorable.

Not the most modern rooms in side but very spacious and extremely clean. Loved my stay there! The staff are great and the resort is in a prime location.

Lovely spacious room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My main advice - check if it is a busy period. Aug- Sept is a busy time with buses every day so it is difficult or impossible to get breakfast early untll the bus crowd has left. Apart from that a great place to stay.

There was a mix up with the booking as needed accommodation for 2 adults and 2 kids. After checking in asked why the couches are not pull out for kids to sleep on and was advised they are not allowed to stay with us as the room is only allowed to have two people per room. Asked for any other bedding options and the only suggestion was they can try looking for another room for the the kids at full price. Suggested we could make it work in the existing room as it had plenty of space but was told not allowed. Ended cutting our stay short and drove back to Perth.

Apologies, my wife has pointed out that I have misread my notes and mistook your establishment for another that begins with K, where the experience was not good. The rooms were great and my daughter was given a suite,as big as a small flat. The food in the restaurant was great and my wife enjoyed her curry dish, the staff were friendly and looked after us well. Pity we didn't arrive earlier so we could have seen more of Kibarri.

Did not know that rooms were not being serviced daily. Covid rules. Paid quite a bit to stay in a spa room and had to make own bed and clean own bath. A discount for this could have been appropriate. Other wise a nice stay.

Average rooms, clean but aging, and it shows. Squeaky doors, clunky aircons and don't bother trying to checkout before the sun rises because all lights in the complex are turned off at night (a blatant hazard when the resort is double storey).

We stayed here for the central location (walking distance to tavern, bakery and beach) and affordable pricing. They had great communication, clean room with small kitchenette and access to a coin operated laundry (be warned, not always easy to get to due to clutter). The noise was a bit much. Everything echoes and the cleaners started knocking on doors before 8:30am. Their trolleys are very noisy on the brickwork and you can hear what neighbours are up to. Parking is not allocated so good luck. Restaurant was good but local tavern had better service and food. Not ideal stay for couples on a getaway but overall okaystay, just wouldnt book again.

Service here non existent. If you want anything you have to get it yourself. They have the cheek to say it is to avoid contact as part of covi protocols. Tonight they cancelled our dinner reservation at the last minute making it pretty much impossible to book elsewhere. Told us the chef had a medical problem but somehow they still managed to cater for a tour group. Obviously more important than hotel guests.

Great location close to everything. Good facilities in spa room with washing/drying, dishwasher, stove top, microwave, full size fridge, balcony with bbq and dining setting. No sea view but very fair price for what you get. Pool, ice, nibbles avail on-site.

To be fair the rooms were good for what we needed. The only issues were that we went for the edge specifically for the spa bath (my wife has a spinal injury) only to find out on the night she needed it, whilst in it, it didn't work which she reported but we got an “oh well” kind of attitude and the other issue was parking, there was no allocated parking which meant we had to park at the total opposite end if we went out in the afternoon which also was a problem when my wife was a bit sore at the end of the day.

This hotel is in a good location, with easy walking distance to the Kalbarri hotel/pub/tavern. Our room was a good size, with a small kitchenette. When booking, I forgot to check for outdoor space, and we were disappointed not to have a balcony. There's a small pool which was good to cool off in. The restaurant had a reduced service and booking was essential. The duck was excellent! One of the tastiest meals I've ever eaten.

👍👍 We came by for dinner on our last night in Kalbarri. The restaurant is hidden in the back, away from the main town area. There are road signs to it so it isn't too hard to find. We didn't book and were able to get a table, although it was outside and it did look like it was about to start spitting (...
