Because
of
a
genetic
disorder
(ehlers-danlos
syndrome),
I've
been
in
physical
therapy
off
and
on
for
more
than
half
my
life.
I've
had
ok
PTs,
and
unhelpful
PTs,
and
even
PTs
who
would
try
to
push
me
in
ways
that
were
contraindicated
for
my
diagnosis.
Seven
years
ago
I
was
at
rock
bottom
physically.
I
could
barely
get
through
the
day
and
had
so
much
pain
and
joint
instability
it
was
almost
unbearable.
Six
years
ago
(after
a
year
of
mediocre
PT
elsewhere),
I
still
spent
most
of
every
day
resting
because
I
lacked
the
strength
to
function.
I
still
had
constant
flare-ups
and
frequent
injuries.
Then
I
finally
found
GOOD
PTs!!!!
It
took
a
long
time,
a
lot
of
hard
work,
and
a
great
rapport
with
my
therapists,
but
now
I
can
be
on
my
feet
most
of
every
day
and
in
general
I
feel
like
a
"normal"
person😅
(I
may
actually
have
a
higher
activity
now
level
than
the
average
person
does).
I'm
finally
getting
the
PT
results
I
want
and
need,
and
my
quality
of
life,
fitness,
and
health
have
improved
astronomically
as
a
result!
