Crazy long line of waiting in new year week. A place for you to visit if you travel to Kawagoe. Good for a day trip together with other site.

One of the cutest shrine sites so far in Tokyo area and in Japan, at least in our opinion. Love these tiny places when nicely arranged, with good energy and you can experience different things. This one is exceptional because you can wash you money at one of the spots (yes like literally wash money with water), this should help you getting more of it in the future. Otherwise you have other unique shrines, like at one you can pray for passing your various exams, etc… And don’t forget to walk down the main entrance over small stones on the path, bare feet, for a nice foot massage.

Located in the charming city of Kawagoe, just a short train ride from Tokyo, the Kawagoe Kumano Shrine is an absolute gem for those seeking an authentic Japanese cultural experience. This shrine boasts a stunning architectural design that showcases the intricate craftsmanship of ancient Japanese artisans, while also offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect place for a quiet moment of reflection. In addition to its breathtaking beauty, the shrine features an array of fascinating displays of traditional Japanese art and artifacts, providing a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and culture of Japan. (Translated by Google) About 6 to 7 years ago, a man in the priesthood told a worshiper who had a bad result in the fortune telling, "You don't have to be depressed even if you get a bad result. It doesn't mean that only bad things will happen this year. I happened to hear him say, "What a kind and kind priest, and I've been going every year since then. It says that it is okay to tie fortunes at other shrines and temples, and the female priest at the shrine office also has a lovely smile and is soothing. I went there from the morning today, but it's still a nice and pleasant shrine. I love this shrine.

(Translated by Google) It is an 8-minute walk from Hon-Kawagoe Station and a 20-minute walk from Kawagoe Station. Although it is a small shrine, there are playful shrines such as "Footstep Health Road" and "Luck Trial Quoits" and "Zeniarai Benzaiten" where you wash your money in the pond. I received a special red stamp for the first visit, and at that time I also received an original file with a beautiful design like Suzaku ♪ (Original)

Small and quiet shrine in Kawagoe. On weekends and public holiday's, a grass ring is placed in the middle of the walkway for visitors to perform a simple ritual (by walking through it a certain way) to pray for good health. You can also try your luck with the ring toss and land a ring around one of the five stakes labelled with different blessings.

My friends and I found this shrine pretty much on accident but it is one of the loveliest ones I've experienced so far. Not just because of the architecture and feeling you get while entering the shrine but because it also presents bonding rituals you can follow with your loved ones. The Yatagarasu (three-legged crow) fits in perfectly. While we visited it there were a couple of pilgrims in Kimonos and also tinier groups of people. It is also the place where I got my first ever Goshuincho (book of seals / stamps) and my first ever and still the most beautiful Goshuin. They were really nice and lovely people trying to talk to me and find common ground. Overall, I recommend coming here if you're in for a special little shrine with a lovely atmosphere and even lovelier people.

(Translated by Google) It is a dewasanzan shrine located about a 10-minute walk from Hon-Kawagoe Station, and although the precincts are not very large, it is a clean and cozy place. The worshipers were drawing fortunes, which seemed to be useful for marriage. I visited for the first time this time, but there were many types of red stamps, and there were three types of red stamps of Amabie's illustrations. (Translated by Google) I visited for the first time in a few years. I used to come to Kawagoe a lot, but recently it's been worn out and I think it's been two and a half years. There are many Kumano shrines in Tokyo and many in Japan, but Kawagoe Kumano shrine is good. It's not that big, but it's full of highlights. In addition to the main shrine, Kumano Shrine, many gods such as Washi Shrine, Akiba Shrine, Itsukushima Shrine, Stroking Serpent, Senrai Benten, and Kayu Inari Shrine are solicited and enshrined properly. In the garden of the conclusion, you can listen to Yatagarasu's announcement, wash your money, throw quoits, and even stimulate your feet. I think it's wonderful to feel the effort to entertain the worshipers.
