Not even worth 1 star but that’s the lowest I can give. Got in here early and exhausted as a traveler trying to check in earlier because needed a place to rest and get ready (l let the front desk workers knew I was willing to pay more.) However, I don’t think the hotel staff are trying their best to satisfy their guests which is a big no no. Also, the hotel staff can’t speak English???

This little hotel will surprise you. It has all the amenities, comfortable beds, and room options. The price is exceptionally good for its location and comfort. It’s only a 10 minute walk to most tourist attractions

A very nice boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. I liked the modern, stylish decor. The self-service coffee is quick, easy, and delicious. The breakfast buffet has lots of great food for a reasonable price. My room was clean and very comfortable although the air conditioning was a bit on the weak side. The neighborhood is full of great little restaurants.

A fresh, modern and vibrant hotel in beautiful Yokohama. Located a short walk from Bashamichi Station and overlooking a beautiful canal with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the complimentary coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. My partner and I booked a double room which was large, clean and well presented. The bed was the comfiest I’ve slept on in Japan! Thank you to the Hotel Edit team for a really enjoyable stay, we will definitely come back!

The hotel staff was nice and location was great. But there were issues with slow wifi speed, loud AC noises and worst of all something in the room triggered our allergies and made it difficult to breathe and sleep. It was definitely an issue with the room as our noses cleared up outside the hotel. So there may be some issues with the carpet or mold in the rooms. My partner and I did not have these issues in both of the Tokyo Inns we stayed at during the same trip.

Had an excellent stay for 50 usd/night. Staff had a very positive vibe and speak english well so check in was quick and easy. They even brought my luggage to my room when I came in early in the morning. I really liked how they had water and ice machines on the 2nd floor for free refills. There's also a bath wash bag you can make for yourself. The beds are comfortable and they have a sofa and a low table if you are doing desktop work. Since the hotel is close to the touristy sites its very walkable to places like chinatown or cosmoworld. Overall I recommend and probably will stay again if in yokohama. Thanks for the hospitality

Nice room. Sad we only got to stay one night! Lots of space and a spot to look outside with a writing surface. The bed was luxurious compared to other hotels we've been staying in. Very friendly staff and I loved that they had a "make your own bath salts" station!

Experience at this accommodation was not the best. The location was quite a walk away from the train station more so the routes available were not suitable for luggage. Location nearby was decent to various icons, food and shopping area. Room was in a bad shape, there was a smell of dust within the room, stains on the walls and carpet inside the room. More so, the corridors were so complicated to walk.

The hotel is near from Sakuragicho station only 4 minutes walk which is fantastic. Staff were friendly. Regarding comfort: we stayed in a regular room. Small space. It was noted that the carpet was not clean. It had dust. Unfortunately the bathroom smelled like sewage. Regarding the breakfast service, there were only 3 options and all of them were soup! We stayed 4 nights and honestly on the last day we preferred to have breakfast outside. I think they could commit themselves to at least present a different option.

Decent location given the price. Double room was slightly bigger than the average Japanese hotels. Cleanliness could be improved as there were quite a lot of stains on carpets and sofa in the hotel room. You can also hear trains going past from 4:30am and the lack of blackout curtains made it difficult to sleep past 6am.

230220-230223 love my three nights stay in Hotel Edit Yokohama. the location is perfect, few minutes walk to sakuragicho station, which is the best area to live in yokohama in my opinion, many attractions are not far away, either. the receptionist can speak english, 2 bottles of water are complimentary for each day, the another best thing i love for this hotel is that they have a lighted mirror stand in the room for girls to easily do makeups. when you check out, they will give you a candylike snack, it’s tasty, too! thank you, Hotel Edit, for making my first trip to yokohama this great! look forward to the next time here!

It was a great hotel!! The room is clean and the location is very convenient in Yokohama. It can be drinking free coffee and green tea. I will wanna be back again here.

It was our 4th time here. The staff spoke little English. They were very friendly and supportive. We had a problem with our room and fortunately there were other available. Unfortunately, as other reviews mentioned, the ventilation and cleanliness were deficient. You will hear the train noise from 4h30 until 00h00 approximately. Although it was no problem for us, some will find it difficult to sleep. Depending on your room, you will also hear the pedestrian bridge. The location is awesome, but these aspects anove should be taken into account.

Our experience at Hotel Edit Yokohama was nothing short of excellent. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, and spoke English well enough to help fill in the gaps of my broken Japanese. The rooms are extra affordable, and the free amenities that come with the hotel are awesome - we especially loved the make-it-yourself bath salts they had. The hotel vibe is trendy and youthful, and it's location next to the water and close to a train station make it a great "home base" if exploring Yokohama is your goal - heck, Tokyo Station is (only) 40 minutes away, so making it your home base for the duration of your stay in the Tokyo area is absolutely feasible. The only downside that I can think of regarding the location is that it's close to the train tracks. We weren't bothered by it, but if you're a light sleeper, that might be something to consider.

Compact cozy rooms with great customer service and free flow coffee tea in the lobby. This is my 3rd time staying here and it is as fabulous an experience as the first time I was there. Rooms can be a tad of a squeeze if you have large amount of luggage.

Quaint accommodation 5 min away from Sakuragicho station. Rooms have a nice touch to them considering the price, but there are visible wear on some of the furniture that unfortunately lowers the overall experience. The corner double rooms have large windows with great views, however the shades are roll screen shades that do not completely cover the windows. Certain rooms at the 4th floor have the street lights right outside the window that makes sleeping in complete darkness quite difficult. The standard semi double that is significantly smaller may be a better choice for this reason.

Quite possibly the best experience I've ever had at any hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing and very accommodating; the rooms are large, vibrant, and modern (renovated and something from this century); washroom is large comparable to the norm in Japan; complimentary water bottles, slippers and coffee/tea available in he lobby. Restaurant is quaint and cheap but high quality - both the food and the service. Location is next to Sakuragicho (maybe 10 minutes by foot) station, and definitely cost-effective at $80 a night.

This hotel is great. We got here like an hour early and the receptionist let us check in because our room was ready. The receptionist spoke good English. The room is very clean. Our room is semi-double size. It may feel small for Western folks but it is somewhat a standard size here. Overall, the hotel is excellent for its price. And don't forget to check out their breakfast buffet. You can save money by booking without breakfast and then buying breakfast on the day you want to treat yourself.

I’d give 3/10 for the overall stay. If you’re looking for a short stay with a bed, TV and shower then this is ideal. However, if you’re staying more than one night, you’ll notice that the rooms aren’t particularly clean. The rooms were fairly dusty and the carpets had stains - I felt like I should take picture before staying in the room in case I get blamed for it. Besides that, I feel like the hotel’s policies aren’t foreigner friendly. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman but another female staff member took over our booking and made requests that I felt infringed on my privacy. Initially I was happy to oblige, but upon asking more details as to the reasons for this request, the response I received was “it’s the law”. However, this isn’t the case as I frequent Kanagawa and Yokohama and have never encountered this request. I think that the hotel’s owner and managing team, need to consider how they approach and make requests of their visitors in order to improve the satisfaction. This hotel has the potential to be successful, but currently I wouldn’t recommend it to many people.

This one is a surprisingly good hotel at the reasonable price. Service is as always in Japan just perfect. The check-in time might be earlier (not it’s 4.00 p.m.), so be notified. Nice smell in the hall and amenities smell delicious lavender and almond. Didn’t try the breakfast, but the price is reasonable - 1200 yen. This might be a perfect choice for those who want to spare some money on the good living, but being able to get easily to Tokyo and other places nearby.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here last July. We had paid a little extra for a slightly larger room and it was well worth it. This was the second hotel we stayed in in Japan and the difference from the first was fantastic. More space to move about and a sofa made a huge difference to our stay. Lovely and clean, facilities were great. Each for had a washer and dryer along with a microwave and ice machine. Breakfast was really great too. Some Western food with more traditional Japanese choices. Fresh fruit too. Juices and baked goods. I would stay again.

I chose this hotel for my boyfriend and friend who are visiting town since it’s near my apartment, but when I arrived there to see my friends they wouldn’t even let me go with them. I just asked if they could give me at least 2 hours to hang out, but asked me to come see them when I leave. It felt so awkward on my part. Also from the time my friends checked in they’ve been complaining how the room is so dusty and it triggered their allergy. In the end we just checked out at 11pm because my boyfriend kept sneezing. I’m so embarrassed with friends for wasting their time and my money for a hotel I can’t even enter. Also the front desk wasn’t nice.
