水子貝塚公園内にある、水子貝塚が発掘されたときの様子をリアルに再現した模型がある展示場です。縄文時代の人々がどのような暮らしをしていたのかが一目瞭然です🏺‼️展示されている、遺跡で発見された女性の人骨と雄犬の骨が印象的でした❗️今は海なし埼玉県にもかつて海があり、海の恵みのおかげで当時の人々が豊かな生活を送っていたという生命と歴史の営みを学ぶことができます‼️

無料で利用でき、縄文時代、弥生時代の出土品等が展示されています。

資料館は二棟あるので一棟見て満足しないように注意したい。初見では二棟目が事務所かなにかだと思って見逃しそうになった。 入口側の建物は土器など人工物の発掘品が展示されている。小さい建物の割に展示品の数が多い。 その隣の建物は発掘現場の実物大再現展示があるほか、貝塚に捨てられていた貝や骨が展示されている。大きなモニターがあったが、閉園直前だったせいか何も映っていなかった。
