The 7-course tasting menu is one of the best dinner deals in Kamakura. Fantastic seasonal dishes, especially if you like seafood. And the chef is a magician with turnips (of all things!), too. Great, reasonably priced sake menu offers the perfect accompaniment.

The food is just not food, it is food + heart. Every little detail is made with conviction and love.

2019.04.20 Lunch at Trattoria Inoue, a Japanese fusion bar & restaurant near Kamakura station (West exit). We tried "Tori katsu" or Chicken Cuttlet menu at Trattoria Inoue. Then, we just have the recomended dish "Chicken cuttlet set (rice/croissan) with salad and soup. It was very tasty !!! We were very surprise and price is very cheap. 900 yen each !!! My score: 9/10 PS. Everything on the dish is very delicious. Except, soup is so so.

For my surprise this was not just a typical Tratoria as I expected. The chef is a creative young and friendly guy who talked to us all the time. He and his sub-chef served roasted pork with a beautiful selection of salads, vegetables and tempura. All that with a nice fusion of modern international food and traditional Japanese ingredients.They also have some curious deserts as such as Miso pudim and one the most delicious cheese cakes I’ve ever had. Good surprises are in every details for the most attentive like the curious garnish “ miso furikake” which is a sort of curated Miso Parmesan cheese. The coffee was fresh grounded and delicious. Everything just perfect.

Extremely friendly, cozy place putting a great effort on each of the dishes (which you can watch being carefully elaborated in front of you) and in pleasing their customers. I didn't speak a word of Japanese but they went out of their way to help. Recommended.
