I went to check out the salsa night and meet some friends. I’d not been to bobbles for quite some time, it was getting a bit run down. There’s a new owner now and there’s definitely been improvements made. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is ok. I’m sure it will now start to improve. It’s a cool place surrounded by trees and in a great location close to everything good In Kololo. Literally 2 mins from Acacia mall. I believe Saturday nights still get really busy, with a mixed crowd, people from all over. Music is a good mix of Afro beats R&B.

This place is deserving of 0 stars. The most inconsiderate and unlawfully operated establishment in a residential area!!!! Playing distasteful music until the morning hours at above 100 decibels, way above what is lawful in Uganda Live bands and karaoke being played in an open and uncovered space is against the law here. Bubbles O'Leary's is truly a stain and nuisance to the beautiful community here, as well as a cause of property devaluation to the area and it's surroundings. Their inconsiderate and complete disregard for others is appalling. "Enjoyment" at the expense of others is pure selfishness!!

Food is such a necessity that would keep one looking all night but while I am at Bubbles O'Learys, I worry not about eating. There are limited alternatives of lager stocked here and the uncontrolled tobacco smokers spoil the air quality in the godown. Music playlists and deejays are fascinating such that ladies and gents keep connected in the late night dance

The Irish bar Bubbles O'Leary's is a lovely, roomy establishment. I adore the plants and decorations inside. It has really lovely grounds and a dancing floor inside. However, I find it unjust because the music played inside is from all over the world, with the exception of Ugandan music, and I would like to ask the management to kindly reconsider since the pub is in Uganda. Otherwise, my pals and I had a great time last weekend.

We went to Uganda for an African nightlife experience. I'm so glad we found this place! I went on a Friday with my husband and the bartender Simon was very friendly! We had such a fun night that we returned the Saturday. We weren't planning to go back on Saturday but we were glad we did. Ended up staying until 3AM! They had a DJ on the stage and everyone was dancing. I would go back if I could. Thanks guys!

I like this place. Open space with indoor bar. They have live band every Wednesday. The music is good. The place is spacious with different areas where you can enjoy the moment. You can drink and also eat there. Good mix of Ugandan and expatriates. The good days are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for me.

Had an exciting evening here, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient..the cocktails we ordered were mixed to perfection and the food tasty and sufficient in portion size. Prices are standard for Kampala though you should be prepared to pay high end prices...it was worth it though! The Live Band on Wednesday was lively! Well worth a visit

Waste of money for cover fee. Full of “ladies-of-the-night” that make the place a bit uncomfortable. Cover fee not high enough to keep them out, but just high enough that it detracts the point of even checking the pub out. Better to find a place with no fee to enter.

Definitely one of the best places to go out in Kampala. A great mix of music, all kinds of people, good atmosphere, the food was quite good as well. The prices were reasonable for a club like place, 5000ugx entry, 7000ugx for a beer, 8000ugx for a bbq chicken snack.

One of the best African Jazz bands that I have seen and dance to. Bubbles is the place to be on Wednesday. There is a live band playing from 9pm until midnight.

A number of people recommended that I visit Bubbles O'Leary Irish Pub as they have good memories of the place. Although I am glad I went, I didn't have the same experience they did so the pub might have changed over the years. This is a classic pub with a bar, tables spread around, some pool tables and loud music. I am not sure if it was just a slow evening, but there weren't really a lot of people and having just come from a place that was fully packed I think this was a bit of a let-down for me. Also, apart from the name and the green lights, there isn't much "Irish" in this Irish pub - not even the music that was playing. It might just have been the evening I visited so I recommend if you haven't been there before, and you have heard good things, still give them a try.

Good ambience with open and covered areas. The dance moves are amazing by the locals and you can join in the fun. Food was average and so we're the drinks. More of a dance club

It's a beautiful place. I guess the lighting always captivates me. When it's a good day, you will get a time of your life. If you're like me and listening to music is your thing, then get ready to stay on your feet. This was the first place where I stayed on my toes till 5am because every time I sat down, the DJ gave me a reason to stand up again. And for a Friday night where me and my girls just want to have fun, it's worth the visit. At some point, I thought all was lost only to visit another time and find the flower blooming all over again. So it's good that despite the pandemic effects, this place is getting back to it's former glory and I can finally and proudly recommend it.

Hate hate hated it. There is no private quiet place and you must shout for your neighbor to hear you. The food takes long to arrive and is definitely lower than average. No privacy at all too. Very noisyyy. An utter disappointment but great for people looking for wild nights.

No longer called bubbles. Had a horrible oily little man (not African) come and tell me I was in the VIP area and needed bottle service. When all around me had single drinks. All because some customer really wanted my table. I was asked if I was willing to share and I said yes. Still booted. Shame. It was such a nice place when it was still bubbles. Food was mid but the Ugandan staff were of course lovely.

One of the only Irish bars in Kampala. It's a refreshing change of scenery from the usual places in town. You'll enjoy the place if you don't mind listening to music that's different from what you're used to. Mainly an expatriate crowd so expect a couple of ladies of the night present. Has both outdoor & indoor seating areas. It's a good place to hang out generally. Sadly, they have a few issues concerning treatment of locals Vs expatriates that they need to sort out.
