Amazing place. Besides it's religious and spiritual significance, it is a wonderful piece of art and architecture. It gives you a view of all Kampala from one point due to its beautiful and strategic location It can be accessed from many roads making it easy to avoid the Central Business district traffic delays. The church has big hardens that can be used for weddings. There's also a resource center. This cathedral is under the Anglican Church of Uganda with offices on site.

Was there on Saturday morning. Wonderful Kampala view. The cathedral is big and it was a wedding ceremony there. If you are religious or just interested in architecture visit this place and you will get what you want. Enough parking space except messes, weddings and so on.

Namirembe Cathedral, also known as St. Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe, is a striking architectural masterpiece that boasts stunning Gothic-style elements. The cathedral’s grandeur and historical significance make it a must-visit attraction in Kampala. Its imposing spire, intricate stained glass windows, and serene atmosphere create a sense of awe and reverence among visitors. Stepping inside Namirembe Cathedral offers a serene escape from the bustling city, inviting visitors to admire the beauty of its interior adorned with beautiful artwork, intricate woodwork, and notable religious symbols. The cathedral’s spacious interior and lofty ceilings enhance the sense of tranquility and spirituality. The cathedral also holds immense cultural importance as one of the oldest and most prominent Anglican cathedrals in Uganda. It stands as a symbol of the country’s religious heritage and has been witness to significant events throughout Uganda’s history.

Beautiful place of worship, strategically located on the namirembe Hill one of the first 7 hills the city was founded on. The Cathedral is over a 100 years old yet well maintained, the gardens offer amazing views of the city and so much calm. The resource center offers Cathedral and archives tours.

Just a disclaimer - I’m rating this from back when I was touring around Uganda, and I only had time to quickly stop while passing by the cathedral. Therefore, I have not been inside or attended a service - I’m rating based on my experience walking around outside it :) Churches aren’t usually somewhere I tour, but I was curious about this one given that it’s the oldest cathedral in Uganda. Although my time visiting is was short, I was able to walk around it and reflect. I gave thought to history and the role this landmark has played. On the outside, it really is a nice building, but I was personally more interested in the many beautiful flowers that could be seen there, as well as the great views of Kampala from the hill it rests on. I wish I’d gotten more/better photos of that but the rain was on and off. Looking back, I think the main things that have led me to remove a star are that it was difficult to find on a boda when unfamiliar with the area, and while I walked around there wasn’t any information to tell me what exactly I was looking at (I used google though!)

A tourist attraction because, l stand to be corrected, it is the oldest Anglican church in Uganda. A wonderful place of worship mainly for Anglicans and the Kabaka of Buganda.

Built around the end of the 2nd World war Namirembe Cathedral is an architectural beauty it's been well maintained and is in good condition. The architecture is lovely to look at and the acoustics of the place make it even more appealing.

Saint Paul's Cathedral Namirembe is commonly known as Namirembe Cathedral to most people and it's the oldest cathedral in the country making it a historic place in the church of Uganda history. It serves as the provincial cathedral of the Church of Uganda and the diocesan cathedral for Namirembe Diocese. Namirembe Cathedral has a cemetery were the great church leaders has been laid to rest. Has space for most functions, restaurants and it's a home of Namirembe FM

This is a hidden gem in plain sight. When you pass the test of patience through the Jinja Road (A109) traffic, you will be fully rewarded by the beauty of this small place nature has preserved. One place to come and relax with a feeling of being miles away from the hustle and bustle of modern living yet you are less than 40km away from the city center.

Looks clean but as a white Muslim women workers there were gazing at me badly. Didn't feel comfortable and church worker's attitude wasn't kind. She just wanted me to stay away from church. ( they were praying ik but I was standing out for watching.) I've lived in other countries where have high christian population but it's the first time I have experienced that.

Surely the glory in this cathedral makes any activity like a wedding in it memorable. This is the headquarters for the Anglican faith in Uganda. It has a resource Centre that you can visit and know more about the Anglican faith how it was established in Uganda. At this place you get to view the other parts of Kampala city in an aerial view.

We decided to make a quick stop at Ssezibwa Falls on our way back from Mabira Forest, and it was great. We paid 30,000 UGX for the guide, and it was definitely worth it. He takes you around and gives you a great overview of the history of the falls, the cultural significance of the falls. I don't know if I could drive out there for the day, as there isn't really much to do there. The tour itself takes about 40 minutes (with kids). I think it's great for a stop, but not for a destination (unless your combining it with something else).

Is one of the oldest places of worship with a very long history of having started as a grass thatched shelter to the apparently renovated structure. Has a lot of improvements done on the access roads in and out. It now has restaurants with local foods serving lunch at an affordable price and some businesses to provide the people with access of some simple items one might quickly need. Orderly, with ample parking. A usually busy place on Saturdays, well known for memorable weddings.

It's the Headquarters of Namirembe Archdeaconery which encircles Kampala Capital City, Uganda's largest urban area. The present Cathedral on Namirembe Hill was constructed between 1915 and 1919.
