They always mess up delivery. The worst is when they say they open until 11pm and we order at 9pm then they place the order and before you know it you wait 2 hours after that they tell you no we won't deliver any longer. How unprofessional can people be. Not to mention they do not refund you if you order and they deliver the wrong meal. I can't wait to delete this app and move on. Very inefficient very unprofessional. And not to mention their app is constantly faulty. Why have an app that doesn't even work?

Do you know childrens game called broker telephone. Well these guys have made a business of it. Menu's are wrong from the beginning. After your order someone from Jumia actually calls the restaurant and tells them the order. After that its about 20% chance that delivery is correct. Any competition would push this company out of the market easily. Their managers are not up to their job. Annual update. Nothing has changed. They fail always something. Terrible delivery service. The only reason I use it is because there’s no other choice really in Kampala. The food is often delivered cold. Last December, they messed up my order 3 times on the same delivery!! The drivers never double check with the restaurants if the orders are correct & every other time I order I get either the wrong side or the wrong drink. Today I ordered food, the MTN network was down for everyone. The driver returned to the restaurant and didn’t even bother to double check if the food was okay. Since it was my “fault” according to them, they aren’t replacing my meal. Yet again I’m eating cold fries delivered by Jumia foods. Any other country with food delivery and common sense & great customer service would know to replace the meal. The minute another company enters the delivery market and does better with customer service, Jumia foods won’t exist.

They took my complaint seriously and responded quickly. I have been using the app since. Orders come relatively on time I think there's room to improve but for now thumbs up.

To make it worse, I even called your customer care number to inquire what could have happened to my order, the best response I rudely receive from the lady on phone was you wait for 30mins. I went ahead and called the restaurant ( Bon apetite Bugolobi) and a lady who first called herself Jalia and later Gloria rudely tells me how she cannt help because my number doesnt reflect on her phone and she hasn't seen any rider to bring my order. I expected atleast a sorry from both parties. That is jumia and Bon appetit but the best I got was a ride response. You people, what do you take us for? Do you give us free services or we pay. I find this so unprofessional for your customer care people not to mind the way they talk to customers. Am finally disappointed in you Jumia foods Uganda.

Jumia food doesn't deliver at your place of convenience. They select which places to deliver to. I have had my food orders cancelled more than once yet I don't stay far from town. The frustration is real, after relying on them to satisfy your hunger.

Very quick to take money but if they mess up an order they will not refund you. I had to literally spend a day with multiple service agents just for a 7000shs refund which they didn't even have to decency to refund it and instead promised to give me a voucher which I have to wait for unknown amount of hours to receive. I had to endure all this after spending millions of shillings with them. I am not going to use this service after this experience.

The delivery service is great and very handy but I used my credit card to pay through the app and it was charged 3 times for the same meal and has taken 2 months to get the money refunded and I still only half amount due. Pay with cash to avoid this huge hassle.
