    IHK has got good services, they have State of the art medical equipment and modern medicine fine tuned with committed and dedicated medical and non medical staff however they time keeping is a problem on some days. Specialist center kindly, kindly improve on time keeping, clients pay alot and are being tossed around, come tomorrow come the next week! Not nice at all.

    Their hygiene and services need to be complimented.Tha entire place was clean and very well managed. This speaks highly of the efforts by the administration of the hospital and the staff.

    The worst worst place ever! Unprofessional staff running around pretending to be busy. Incompetent and useless putting peoples lives at risk. Please never go here you’re better off at your next door clinic

    Lengthy wait for optical services, enduring a 3-hour wait before seeing a doctor. Insurance billing process was frustrating; I was initially told I wasn’t covered, but after calling my insurance, it was confirmed that I am covered. The insurance biller could have verified this directly instead of relying on her colleague. On a positive note, the pediatric department proved to be more efficient than the adult services. The guys manning cashiers machines can also be very rude to patients and unhelpful. I witnessed an incident where one pretended not to understand what the patient was saying…. they don’t direct patients exactly where to go… so unprofessional especially for a hospital.

    IHK (Muyenga) has really bad services with good doctors, though. I have been sitted for over 2 hours only to see a doc. Later almost an hour because the reception was empty with no one to attend to Us.(billing) This has been my first time here, but its worse than any other hospital I have been to. I had to review still waiting.

    Clean and organized place. Delayed meeting to dr(Dr. Has been not here although it is time to make a appointment.) There are dematology, ENT, radiology, laboratory, dental centre, pharmacy, physiotherapy etc... even cafe for envenience.

    Since the change of management, they had started off on a good foot, however, service has rapidly deteriorated over the last year. - Poorly coordinated staff. - Staff are generally rude, insensitive and impolite. - They do not answer any of their phones. - It’s impossible to make an appointment. - Doctors do not show up on time (expect them to be 1 hour late at least) - Xray machine is not working?? This is not an “International Hospital”, we have travelled the world on different diplomatic missions for the last 30 years, and would not trust this hospital with someones life. Be warned!

    So slow in service with terrible customer care. Too many nurses just moving up and down offering no assistance just giving terrible looks like they hate their jobs. Doctor I met was extremely sweet tho( I guess that's who he is, it has nothing to do with the hospital itself). Nway not my first choice hospital

    One of the worst hospital in the entire world Worst service, after 4hr of waiting nurse simply ask me to cancel the appointment. Don't go to this hospital you will die before your treatment. Very irresponsible Doctors. And management They will take your money send to to hell In hospital. Worst experience ever seen in my life. I promise you one fine day because of your worst service you will closed the hospital permanently. I am eagerly waiting for that happiest moment

    Contacted IHK via their website to arrange a GP appointment for a friend. They replied promptly with all the details I needed including estimate of costs. Costs were lower than other private clinics in the area. They arranged an appointment for early the next day. My friend turned up at the arranged time and was seen by a doctor quickly. He had an x-ray, blood tests and a final visit back to the doctor to discuss results. Costs were exactly as stated and the service good. Really impressed with the service we received and would definitely use IHK again.

    Extremely poor outpatient service!! Second visit, same experience. Called in advance to book an appointment. After almost 3 hours of waiting, the doctor was still on his way. Finally speaks to the doctor only to be referred to another hospital for an X-ray scan. There’s nothing international about the hospital.

    First time there. Terrible customer service and the Doctor I saw was just rushing to leave his office. He was very dismissive of my concerns. I think we have a problem as a country. These young men we call doctors we keep dishing out of medical school have no business being doctors. They are inexperienced, don’t know how to handle patients in a humane way and that leaves a lot of room for error. Nothing was straight forward. I kept being tossed left and right. I was requested for some samples. One lady at lancet lab kiosk made me feel like what I was doing was soo wrong. The look on her face. Disgust, unconvinienced etc. Having good equipment alone without working on their people side and service side is a step closer to completely ruining whatever reputation you have as a business.

    We had a terrible experience with IHK. On 03.06., a Thursday, my mum fainted at home after she had received the second dose of Astrazeneca. The ambulance came quickly and the team from late afternoon till night was caring and responsive. We were released a bit better. But had to come back on Thursday since mum still fainted. Here the team let us down. They took tests and when the rapid test came back in their view positive and the salt levels were too low (why was that not seen at the first visit) they told us that mum should be admitted but they had no space and that i should drive her to another hospital. Yet she was badly off and the beds nexto us were free and they could have put a saline solution for 3 hours. They simply refused to help us. Yet we had already paid roughly 1.4mio ugx on those very anoying cashier system. Then we ended up then well taken care and treated at ruby medical centre.

    Very bad experience we were referred and upon arrival they denied receiving any call from AAR all they wanted was us to leave there premises. Communication is vital for such a big facility, get nurses and doctors who are passionate about their jobs.

    The equipment is very good and the doctor is very responsible, but the efficiency is very poor. It was said that it would take 30 minutes to go through the discharge procedures, but it took two hours. The waiting process is long.

    They are really well organized. The system in place works out really well. Some may not like the policy to “pay first”. But it guarantees you that you shall be helped

    IHK doesnt deserve a single star but since we have no option of giving 1/2 or 1/4 a start , there you go. I have had the worst experience a hospital can ever offer. IHK is worser than Mulago general section yet we pay our money. They take long to take care of patients plus they never share patient results in case one gets frustrated from the long hours of waiting for lab results. I for one can never attempt to go or refer any one there. Terrible experience from such a renowned hospital. People if you wana die in line waiting to see a doctor or get your lab test result, off you go to IHK. The facility is just too "bogus" for luck of a better word.

    IHK was one of the best hospitals in Kampala, not so sure any more. I had a patient there recently and the service was sub par. Appointments always get pushed after waiting hours. For example we were supposed to be discharged on Sunday but couldn’t be because a certain doctor wasn’t there. Monday came and we waited the whole day only to be discharged without seeing the doctor. Review was today but my patient has been waiting since 10am and she’s still waiting. It’s 6:20pm as I write this. IHK get your stuff sorted please.

    went yesterday to this hospital thinking its one of most known and good one, but i have had the worst experience. The doctor was very rude, not helpful and disrespectful for no reason . with zero motive to answer my questions. Like I really wasted my time and money for nothing Very frustrated and disappointed on the bad staff starting from the nurse, they have the WORST service ever.

    KIH you should improve your services.... Doctors leave early, the reception is poor and the contacts you give patients, no one picks when you call Me after being bounced for three days, I went to kampala hospital and I ws served immdediately.

    We were given a grand tour of this facility that is very modern by Ugandan standards, and even more important, everything is kept very clean, and there is an evident great attitude of the importance of their work here. The only reason I didn't give it a fifth star is because of the wait for my wife to see the doctor, but that happens. They have a membership plan, and we're signing on.

    Contacted the ENT telephone line to book an ENT appointment.  Was given an appointment for the 15th August 2023. Arrived for the appointment at 11:15am with my daughter to see an ENT specialist.  Informed reception desk of our arrival and was asked to write down our details including names and telephone number. We did this and gave the information to the receptionist but this information was left on top of the reception desk. After observing this for 15 minutes I reminded reception staff  that the patient's personal information that we had written was  still on the top of the desk while other customers were being served. 45 minutes later while we were still seated in the waiting area. One of the staff members  noticed us, he asked  the reception desk staff why we were still waiting, only for us  to be told to write our personal information again. After 10 minutes another member of staff came to confirm our details,  of which they already had.  Then we were asked if we had done our triage, however nobody had said anything to us about any assessment. At 12:35 pm  we were asked to make payment however we weren't told what the payment was for. After I  queried this, the staff told us it was for the consultation.  We made payment then the  team member expeditiously asked  the assessment team to carry out a triage. After this we were directed to the doctor. Halfway through explaining the health issues faced by the patient the doctor mentioned that my daughter had to see the ENT department as she was a Pulmonologist physician. Also during this time a disgusting stench of sewage penetrated through the window. We were thereby told to ask a member of staff to book us in for an ENT appointment. At this point we were asked to make payment again but I declined to pay  as we were sent to the wrong department and still hadn't received the ENT service we came for.   We were then asked to wait as there were 9 patients ahead of us so we agreed to wait as we were determined to see this through so  at 1:10pm we went to sit in the car and wait for an appointment to see the ENT specialist. requested to be contacted when our turn was near. At 2:30pm we were called to the ENT, my daughter had an examination and a thorough explanation from the examination with solutions. This went well as the ENT was very experienced.  Overall the hospital visit was disappointing and frustrating.  The front desk staff had poor attitudes at work and were very incompetent.

    The worst experience. Set up an appointment and called prior to confirm but still waited two hours after the appointment time to see the doctor. Ended up having to leave without seeing the doctor because IHK thinks we don’t things to do with our time.

    Very bad service. Mosquitoes are so many at night and the nurses tell you there's nothing they can do. Very short staffed. One night there were no nurses at all since they had all gone to hide because an Asian family had come to the hospital, they automatically thought the family had covid. Services promised at the beginning were not provided; they say you get a massage and dstv but nothing.. can't recommend this hospital to anyone We were only 2 patients in the hospital in March.. and there were no nurses, they went to hide. Also I had paid for the VIP package that's how I knew and expected dstv and a massage but nothing was offered. My mother had to run with my baby to the nursing station twice when we pressed the button and no one came..

    That one star is only for one nice nurse found but the rest are not.. there is alot of miss communication and that thing of wanting money first pressure that if you dont pay my boss is up asking me why you haven't paid yet we had paid almost all the money and it was a few percentage remaining since it was the first day.was so disappointed in the place thought it was so nice. Anywhere they should work on their communication channels between A patient and the guardian its so poooooooooooorrrrrrrr. Because someone hold results and they claim that they need the whole family when the family is there mbu ate we need a another thing when its got they claim that now the doctor who had to talk to the family left.

    Very poor reception with no respect for patients, the receptionists have an attitude. There is no queue system . You just come and sit together with everyone . With no information whatsoever of what to do and when you try to ask information they tell you to wait

    I take my mother for treatment for 3 days. They ask me for 13 million. It is a worst customer care. They only care about money. Even you pay the bills. They don't even have a sympty for the patients. I really don't recommend this hospital. I do not recommend for anyone.

    Poor reception and even Doctors are rude. Waited for 6 hours without any services rendered to my mum. I had to take her to another hospital for treatment after I have already paid for consultation. IHK shall never be a choice next time.

    The medical service itself is good but some days you might spend about 5-6 hours there just to spent 5mn with the nurse, 10mn in the lab (results time varies but usually less than 1 hour-most in 30mn) and maybe 10-15mn with the doctor. The pharmacy is the worst for service and waiting. I just buy medicine elsewhere.

    The facility is well kept and good customer service from the medical personnel. There are enough seats 💺 for waiting in line for your turn which makes the whole process easy. The washrooms are clean which is a plus for a public place like a hospital 🏥. And security is guaranteed.

    I took my 5months baby to a dermatologist for her atopic dermatitis and I was given medicine for cough to reduce the itching skin! Really? So disappointed with IHK !!

    Frustrated because ihk is a great hospital but hospitality is being tarnished by receptionists. Receptionists that worked on 19/12/2023 and 22/12/2023 at ihk Namuwongo were arrogant when we asked basic questions. Like where should I go and who should I see. I thought that is what they are supposed to do. Was shouted at while given directions to emergency reception. Was told to learn to cram my doctors names. Was told to learn how to read. All these by the receptionists who wore glasses on those days.

    Reception chaotic, no clear indication of where to go or what to do, nor any space to move. Receptionists cashier's pharmacy all rude and do not listen. Definitely not worth the expensive price tag you have to pay.

    Useless, I set an appointment and received three text confirmations of the time and date. I turned up to find that the receptionist had never heard of the doctor named on the confirmation. I called the number and was told that there was another doctor but he had left for the day, could I come back in 2 days time. Why would anyone trust their healthcare to such an incompetent administration? I will not be back there.

    My name is Lillian and I would like to thank IHK management for hiring Mahad. I got kidney issues and was referred to your hospital and Mahad handled me very well. He is the kindest and most comforting staff you have. The way he handled me one would think we are related and yet I had never met him. Mahad thank you for all you did for me. May God bless you.
