The market is huge! I did not realise that from the outside. There are three similar segments and after exploring one of them I thought I’ve seen it all. The items on the shops are mostly similar. You can find a wide variety of items. Most of them represent the African culture. They have a parking on the first segment only and I guess the shops in that segment are the privileged ones. Before you buy anything, I’ll suggest you have a walk around. See what’s in there and what you want. One tip for you, when you go there, keep it in mind, there’s always room for a bargain. Be a little shameless and try negotiating. You may do that in USD too, I find it easier.

I agree that the vendors can be sometimes aggressive but assure them that you will take a look at their store too and they all calm down. ;) I loved this market and the people in it. They were reasonable and it had unique stuff that was of quality.

A hug 3 sections of market to buy variety of handicrafts, woodenware, stones, colorful and beautiful place to shop. U can buy bags, sandals, show pieces, souvenirs, t-shirt dresses and allot more at a very good price. But u should be able to negotiate well there. Always a great experience to shop at the craft market

Close to the Senana Hypermarkt you will find the Bagala Craft Market. I was looking for some gifts to take back home to South Africa so this craft market was the perfect stop for me. There are various stalls selling different curios so you will need to spend some time finding exactly what you want. I luckily found a couple of things including a dress for my daughter and some beautiful pillow covers for my wife. Although there are one or two stalls that have cards facilities, I recommend you have Ugandan Shilling on you as most don't accept cards and it is difficult to find an ATM close by.

Bagala Craft is one of the famous craft market in Kampala. It has various artisan shops selling their items ranging from ebony wood items, handmade jewelry, Masai slipper, painting and many more items. It's a one stop solution for craft items and return gifts/souvenirs for someone looking for unique items. This is one of my favourite places for shopping when, I have trips planned for my visit to my country. The place is good with awesome crafts but you need to check multiple shops & negotiate well before buying don't get lured in their words stating the uniqueness of their items. But it's worth going place to buy good crafts.

This is actually three independently run markets, Exposure Africa, Craft Africa, and Bukoto Market. The products are mostly the same, but the prices and vendors can be quite different. Exposure Africa is the most aggressive and touristy by far. The wares are beautiful in all of the shops, and it makes for a lovely afternoon. Admission is free.

Mr Dominic at East Africa Crafts is just fabulous. The staff helping him was such a joy to work with. They assisted me with exceptional service. I would differently refer them and come back again. They will be a long standing associate.

It's a lovely place. I'd advice you to first move around and find out the prices because I bought from a specific light skinned munyakole lady at the upper stalls and she cheated me. It's a shame that when I confronted her she had no remorse.

The vendors are ridiculously courteous. They ask an exorbitant price for their crafts and then you have bargain. It's so funny. I enjoy the time I spent there.

Great place to buy souvenirs. There are enough of all sorts, prices and regions. Very affordable I would say. But always bargain, ~15k to 20k less than given price.

  • 3/5 Yuki S. 6 months ago on Google
This market would be a fun, convenient place to buy souvenirs if store keepers let customers shop in peace. It has great potential. For now, I recommend visiting Old Kampala Friday Craft market on Friday instead.

Great craft market in Kampala. In front of the market there is a large parking lot for several dozen cars. You can always buy paintings, ebony crafts (many fakes, look at the weight of the figures and other signs), african souvenirs. Traders are unobtrusive. Be sure to bargain to drop the price.

Beautiful craft and art shop. Affordable prices. Strategically located in the heart of Kampala. I am a tour guide and we shop here a lot during our walking tours in Kampala.

  • 3/5 Isaac M. 2 years ago on Google
I think it a good time to visit the place when it's not too crowded and can make your choices without many sellers dividing your decision making.

  • 4/5 Levi D. 10 months ago on Google
So many craft stores on offer. Being a westerner, the price instantly went up in comparison to locals from Uganda. If possible, I’d recommend having a local go in and buy for you, after you I first go around and have a look. If you don’t mind paying more, then just walk around and pay their increased prices. Some amazing crafts on offer!

  • 5/5 Miranda T. 1 year ago on Google
I really enjoyed this market! They have very many options so it’s a good spot to go for crafts. I suggest going earlier in the day because it’s easy to spend quite a while and run out of time to look at everything! Definitely bargain, but also be fair. I’ve been a few times now, and after having stayed in Uganda for some time, I have purchased more than enough of these items for myself or friends/family haha… so when I go to craft markets now, it’s mainly to show someone around or to check if there’s anything new people have been making. I find it slightly overwhelming when everyone all at the same time is telling me to enter their shop and showing me a bunch of random items. The first couple times it was fine because I was there for that, but now I don’t know what to say! Even when I explain, people insist there’s someone in my life that I haven’t purchased a magic wallet for yet 😂

Great place for those who love and appreciate art. Drop by for those master pieces that will add value and a touch of class every where and anywhere you will hang them! Highly recommended though parking 🅿️ space is quite limited.

Wide variety of local gift items which make perfect choices when you return home. The prices are very reasonable and for locals crafts as well as clothing items. There are items which suit many budgets and and when you browse thej recommendations can be made

This Crafts center is well located in the heart of Kampala city. You can basically find any souvenirs you wish. The prices are fair and negotiable. I was able to get some beautiful art painting on a discounted price. Expect to be greeted with a "rush" for customers. Everyone will call you to their stalls. I advise always to first take a walk across the stalls and then decide where and what to buy.

  • 5/5 Trevor C. 1 year ago on Google
Lots of stalls with friendly shopkeepers who were not overly aggressive. I have been to this craft market a few times and it is actually even bigger than I realized the first time I went. There are three separate sections with their own entrances along Buganda Road.

Very focused on tourists who just want to buy a souvenir. However, don't expect to find high quality locally made products there as this place deals in the things you may find in any tourist market in eastern Africa.
