Great place for canteen-styled, pure 100% vegan meal. Not expensive, tasty, mild, and reasonably healthy. As this is 100% vegan, there is no issue with halal or not. Very crispy sesame balls, so much better than ilovyou.

tl;dr; Good option for lunch in KL (accessible via temple entrance) Finally reopened in November 2022 after pandemic, variety of vegetarian dishes available here which cater for the public. Affordable and convenient lunch in the heart of city. Special dish of the day is available near the corner besides standard mixed rice/noodle. 2 self-service lanes for minimizing queue time and free filtered water available. Transaction in cash only as of DEC 2022. P/S: Don't forget to dispose the plates at dedicated area after finishing your meal! 😊

My first visit was such a joy. Located just behind the Dharma Kuan Yin temple, as you enter, follow the left walking path. Opens only for lunch Mondays to Fridays. A lot of different varieties of vegetarian foods and soy mock meats. I had chosen over 10 varieties in small amounts each. Try the mock fried chicken drumstick and the mock roast goose. Amazing. And also the coconut flavored water and herbal coconut soup. Prices are very cheap and staff members are always helpful. Take only what you intend to eat so no wastage. After the meal, remove the plates and leave them at the designated pails. After having food, one can visit the temple. Such an amazing place. Highly recommended.

The Dharma Realm Guan Yin Sagely Monastery Food Centre offers a unique service to the community, providing delicious vegetarian lunch options at an affordable price. Despite being more of a food center than a traditional restaurant, the offerings are outstanding. Guests can enjoy a buffet-style meal, choosing from a variety of delectable dishes, with prices based on the items selected. My plate of food only cost MYR 6, making it an incredibly budget-friendly option. If you find yourself near the Twin Towers or in Kuala Lumpur, this is definitely worth a visit.

the place is self service with a dish around 8rm so there is not much to request here. The food is good for me, canteen is huge, opening around 10'45 something, you can pick whichever you want then cash or touch n go pay, the Chinese herbal tea also free, plus one.

The whole ordering process reminds me of the old schooling days. There are about 30-40 dishes available. All vegetarian (simple yet satisfying) but overall with less artificial meats and more vegetable and legume choices. So grateful to the group of people who are keeping this place running as well as being one of the many that benefits from this affordable meals. Hope this will continue to encourage more people to go meatless. *Tempeh is a must-try. Free hot Chinese tea available (self-service) but if you don’t mind to pay an extra RM1.50, their herbal tea (changes daily) is the best !

Amazing place with amazing food and amazing people! Head to the back of the monastery and you’ll find this brilliant canteen. When we visited there was a hubbub of activity with chefs and volunteers preparing loads of fresh food. Find the buffet (or ask, everyone’s really nice!) and help yourself. The food is delicious (all vegan, we were told), freshly prepared and plenty of variety. It was Chinese New Year when we went so it was offered free of charge! Although we donated to support such a great place. Well worth a visit or two whilst you’re in KL and looking for vegan food.

Vegetarian food near klcc, place is clean and tidy. Walk pass by side of temple to find dining area. plenty of choices for a good meal, herbal tea optional. Non air con environment, 2 lines to pick and place selection to plate and proceed to payment before finding a space to dine. Return plate, cup and cutlery to washing point before leaving.

It is a very lovely eating place in KL, and it is vegetarian too! And it's very affordable! All are self-service from choosing the many dishes to paying to clean up after you finish. The vegetarian options are a lot from simple, stir-fried mustard greens to mock-meaty soy chucks in sweet sauce to mock-five spiced geese. There are lovely aunties there to chat with you as well 😀

Went for vegetarian lunch at this beautiful temple in the heart of the city. Vegetarian lunch is simple and healthy and pricing is cheap. Got a chance to visit the temple. It felt so peaceful and calm. The craftsmanship of the temple itself is amazing.

Hidden affordable vegetarian food court behind a temple in the heart of KL. Serves mixed rice, made-to-order noodles, leicha, herbal tea, taufa, bread, pastries and radish cake. Got their charsiew, curry vege and rendang pumpkin with rice for RM6, apple hawthorn drink was RM1.50. Taste was great especially the charsiew, slightly crispy on the outside and had a smoky taste. Place is clean and tidy, gotta clean up after yourselves after dining in.

Excellent lunch spot on weekdays. All fresh, lots of choice, delicious taste, vibrant office crowd. If you reach the temple through the main entrance, the food court is on the left, to the back. We approached the temple from the back, and in through a side entrance (picture)

Amazing food at reasonable prices! Such an amazing selection of veterinarian options and all tastes so good. The food isn't labelled but you really can't go wrong with any choice. Flavorful and fresh. Every single item. I'm so glad I found this place! It's cash only. I think only hot/cold water available. It's from a stand so I assume filtered. A tangerine is included free. It's buffet style but be sure to take only what you can eat as wastage is frowned upon (as it should). I don't think hours listed are right because I dined on a Sunday around 7:50am local time

Amazing buffet style vegan food and drinks that is super cheap located very close to KLCC. Resembles a canteen like place to eat. Lots of Chinese style foods to try. Don't expect sneeze guards or tissues. Just clean plates, lots of trays filled with food to scoop from and a very focused cashier working out how much you owe. If you worry about hygiene you may want to try somewhere else.

Hidden vegetarian mix rice food centre in the middle of the KL city centre... Locate at behind of guan yin temple next to the menara atlan, is like a canteen style concept of the restaurant, self service to take ur dishes, make payment and clean ur own table when finished ur meals... Alot variety of vegetarian dishes, fruits, ala carte meals... Price is cheap consider you are in the down town... Weekdays lunch hourtime quite clouded by office blue collar nearby...

Rustic, down to earth, reasonably priced vegetarian food in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. What else could you ask for? Keep in mind that this is a fully functioning Chinese Temple worshiping the Goddess of Mercy. So please maintain proper decorum while eating here.

If you are a fan of vegetarian food, this is a place not to miss. Please go before 12.30 or some of the dishes will be gone. As others suggested, beancurd dishes are the best. On the day i went, there were 2 beancurd dishes and both are very delicious. The cost is 25 for 2pax but it could vary upon your choice of dishes. Chinese tea and water is free. There are also snack stations and i tried sesame balls which cost 1.5 each

First time trying here, we knew that it offered Chinese-styled vegan food. The environment is nice, it’s hidden beside the temple at the centre of KL so both locals and tourists eat here. The food for me was just ok, the dishes made from the beancurd or tofu were mostly good and well seasoned. Other dishes were rather too sweet for my taste so we got sugar attached after a while. Safe choice here would be any tofu-made dishes or the veggies.

They also selling other special menu everyday, drinks and some pastry too. But bear in mind they only accept cash payment.

This is in the Dharma Realm Guan Yin Sagely Monastery. Went here today, Saturday 25/1/20. Chinese New Year, 1st day of lunar month. About 11.30am. Very busy. As you walk to the left side of the temple, there is some food, fruits and sweets you can get, box for donation. Keep walking and you will get to main food area, help yourself and proceed to cashier. Lots of choices, all delicious and healthy. For our three plates it was 20 ringgit and 1.50 ringgit for glass of drink. Fruit also for sale, not sure how much. I saw pineapple and pear (I think). There’s also stalls selling curry Mee and other foods. In the main seating area there is tea and sweet bowl of desert to help youself. We got here on the green go KL free bus. The stop was right in front of the temple. The stop is called Wisma Atlan. Press the bell after the Citibank stop. The bus has announcements telling you what stop is next.

vegan food, but not like vegan at all. I don't eat vegan usually, but they serve good food and very cheap price. it's open for public, at lunch, on working day, will hard to find chair and table to seat, crowded with people. they also sells fresh fruits and light snacks, which are also a good takeaways.

Tranquility, please and delicious. These are the words that come to mind. It has been several years since I ate here last. The food is great. I appreciate all the labor and kindness that is put into the food. The setup is self explanatory. Add what you would like to eat to the plate. But please please don't waste food. From a mindful way of practicing, we should never waste our blessings. I love the additional selections of desserts and teas. They are all so good.

Such a nice place here. Didn’t expect such a good vegetarian food here. Occasionally google search this place when my mum saying to eat vegetarian and thought it will just taste normal but the food is super delicious and it’s cheap. Never judge book with its cover. If you pass by do come to have a try, recommended.
