This hospital got the worst surgical wards. They keep lying to patients about due dates and starve patients for no reason. Doctors rarely visit some wards(Plastic Surgery Unit). If you got other medical conditions, they get untreated until the they get worse or they just let the patient suffer until they die. I'd suggest going Colombo general hospital or S J general hospital instead. posted - feb 2021

One of the worst hospitals ever they don't know to treat people well doctors are good but they can't take a decision on there own if a person is bleeding they just let that person bleed not even a saline to that person they only had one job thats to stitch the wound or plaster it they kept for one complete day without any meds even

Doesn’t even deserve a star. Had to be in the hospital for one whole day with the same clothes because the staff lied to me. After fully recovery they told me i could go home the next morning, then it became afternoon and later it became evening.. it was so uncomfortable and this was the worst experience. Most of all, the maternity washroom are hopeless. Washrooms in slums are much more cleaner than the ones in the hospital. Cats, dogs and rats were there everywhere near the washrooms..

A hospital with all facilities. Has a friendly staff. Some places are dirty but overall a tidy hospital. However, there is a shortage of medicine these days. If you can, please donate.

Soo poor they don't care about a single life. The nurses are bloody worst doesn't even listen. 2 days struggling with an accident at the hospital. Are the really educated ? Can't see it in their behaviour. Worst worst and the worst hospital in the whole world.

Overall disappointing experience for my mom at ward no. 41 and 42. Also need to mention Everything is good apart from few nurses and a ward doctor being extremly unpleasant to her and the maid making all sorts harassments and even making anti religious remarks.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the medical staff at Ragama Teaching Hospital, particularly the dedicated doctors and nurses at ward 15, for the exceptional care and support provided to my father, M U Kumar. Following his initial hospitalization at Nationals Hospital in Colombo for a period of two days, my father was discharged with a diagnosis but unfortunately did not receive adequate treatment during his subsequent admission at Chest Hospital in Walisera for another two days. It was then that he was transferred to Ragama Teaching Hospital, where he was admitted to ward 15. During his stay at ward 15, my father’s condition required immediate attention due to his medical needs. I am immensely grateful to Doctors Kushini and Dr. Sasala for their unwavering kindness and compassionate care towards my father. They demonstrated exceptional professionalism and attentiveness, ensuring that he received the necessary medical attention and support. The doctors’ commitment to my father’s well-being was evident through their regular visits to the ward, checking on his progress, and providing timely instructions to the nursing staff. Additionally, they sought guidance from Consultant Physician Dr. Pubudu Jayasekara, whose expertise and guidance were instrumental in my father’s treatment and recovery. The level of care and dedication displayed by the doctors and nurses at Ragama Teaching Hospital was truly exemplary. Their professionalism, expertise, and compassion went above and beyond, providing not only medical treatment but also a sense of hope during a challenging and uncertain time for my family. I am forever grateful to the entire medical team at Ragama Teaching Hospital, particularly the doctors and nurses at ward 15, for their exceptional care and support. Their tireless efforts and commitment to their patients have left an indelible mark, and I will always hold them in the highest regard.

Lack of some sub specialties like cardiac intervention, Neuro surgery. Best center for Gestroentrology and ideal place for liver transplantation. Good for PG trainees. Rehabilitation center and National hospital for respiratory disease are closed by. Thalassemia center is attached to (part of) professional medical unit. A&E service will begin soon.
