Was there for an evening with high tea and I loved the experience. Calm and peaceful environment. Amazing views of untouched greenery really make you feel refreshed. Staff is very friendly and attentive. High tea itself is great. There weren’t many sweets and savories compared to other high teas in town but they taste better than the rest. All in all, it was a well spent evening and would be coming back for more.

When we enter the premises they welcomed us with stoned apple flower juice, which was so good. Since we arrived late and missed the lunch time, they arranged lunch for us separately. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can play snooker or table tennis, or can go for a swim or sunbathing. However pool was bit too cold for my liking during the evening and too hot during the afternoon. Since we stayed for our honeymoon we got some complimentary sweets as well

A long drive to the top, but the location makes up for it. The staff is friendly and courteous. The restaurant staff especially, left a good impression on my experience. The food on the other hand might benefit from some improvements. It was good, don't get me wrong, but my expectations were a little higher since I ordered à la carte. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. 4/5

Very good hotel to celebrate every special events and spend holidays. We have been there several time. They serving good International buffet. Very tasty foods with International quality. Friendly staff who always ready to help. It has a beautiful mountain view. Very clean and tied rooms. Highly recommended place!

Good hotel overall. They simply made us feel that we travelled to the past to a king's palace. The food is great, had a great buffet. The room is very good and the location is superb! But on the negative side, we felt that the staff wasn't trained very well and the room had lots of small things missing.

Great hotel in Kandy with a beautiful view of the hills. We stayed one night on full board business things . The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very spacious. Stunning few of mountains around thr hotel and they have unique feature that they have stunning drawings of indigenous birds everywhere even in rooms.One of the most cleanest washrooms I have ever been to. Hotel staff is very friendly and supportive. Downside is access road is very narrow and need to climb almost 4 km up in the hill .there is not very informative sign boards alongside the trail.

Beautiful venue for any event, we held our wedding in August. On the day-of the staff was attentive, friendly, accommodating and communicative. The packages were awesome and our guests could not stop raving about the food! And special thanks to Ms.Sakunthala for giving us a memorable day, and memories we will cherish for a lifetime. Overall a good hotel. View is superb. You will feel like you are living on the sky. In the night view is so spacious. I am really glad that i chose this hotel to stay. Food was good. Room was clean and nice. Hope to comeback again soon !!!!

Stayed in the hotel for one night and it was indeed a very pleasant experience. Reception was very welcoming and staff is really friendly and helpful. Have good parking spaces and the entire hotel shows of Sri Lankan traditional heritage. Rooms were very well maintained and clean. Had all necessary amenities. View from the room was breathtaking. Specially in the morning with most coming down, it was an amazing view. Even though there were not much of varieties, food buffet was nice and tasty. A great place for anyone looking for a relaxing time close to Kandy with a great view.

We were group of 25 adults, stayed for one night at Amaya hills kandy. The location it is situated and the view is definitely breathtaking. The Staff were all very friendly, and would always check you had everything you needed. The room was clean and neat except there was some unpleasant odor in the washroom and once we complained they said it was there drainage system and they are having some issues with that. It was the same case with few of our rooms in the ground floor. But they immediately helped us by spraying air freshener to get rid of the strong odor but unfortunately it wasn’t helpful. The pool was clean but it was super cold 🥶 Ultimately, their food, had kind of decent varieties in their buffet menu. But the taste wasn’t great except the breakfast buffet was okay. It was well organized but they disappointed with the taste. I had to mention their commitment, since one of my colleagues had to leave early in the morning (by 6 am), and he requested whether they could arrange some food for him for take away. And without hesitation they made and gave sandwiches and egg and sausage and fruits and a fresh juice. We really appreciate their staffs and their responsibility towards work.

Wow, this place was stunning. Everyone was so so kind and the property is just perfect. The room & balcony is massive and everything felt clean and brand new. The food was amazing and all staff were so kind and attentive. Hope to visit again soon! I love the kandyan wordings that they have used to mention their properties like swimming pool , gym etc

I highly recommend Amaya Hills Kandy for a delightful stay. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They even surprised us with a free cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Overall, a wonderful experience. A small thing to add is you need a major refurbishment on washrooms. waterproofing not looking nice on tiling and plywood boards are not applicable, where get wet them all the time. As an interior designer, I would like to recommend that you need that change in your property.

Absolutely Beautiful Resort! Everything is well maintained and clean. There is quite a lot of nature around with the garden maintained by them. I had made last minute bookings and they made sure that we could arrive within an hour. Everything was ready. The rooms were spacious and clean. Great facilities with swimming pool, Billiard room, open lounge area to spend time. Huge options in their breakfast and lunch buffet. Reasonable price, I'd say. Delicious food. Staff are very kind and friendly. Highly recommended!

When we reached Amaya Hills at the top of the hill, I could only stare in awe at the aesthetic of the place. We had a warm welcome with soothing soft drinks while looking out into the nature. Their reception is an open space on the top of the hill and it was such a unique environment that just warms your heart despite the cold hilly wind. The rooms were great and comfortable. The beds were very large. I am struggling to describe them more than that because all that stuck in my memory from being at this place was the views that the residence offered. Such a beautiful place! It's also worth noting how friendly the staff was. They went above and beyond in their service and I admired them so much for it. I was a little unwell while there, and they tended to me so well offering Ayurvedic tea and offering to make food that would suit me while my family was enjoying the breakfast buffet. I had such a lovely time there, I wish I had stayed more than a night. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing stay.

Supered location with an amazing view! A place were you can take a break from the bustling city of Kandy and calm down. Rooms are comfortable,clean and food are delicious.The staff does everything to make you feel welcomed. Divani who work at the hotel provided us with an amazing service. Friendly Front desk receptionist also gave a warm welcome. Would stay here again!

Beautiful location. Good service. We visited on May 30, and left on the 31st. We booked a full board. Dinner was good, but can be more organized. Hopper station is very slow. We used their massage service, and it wasn't that great. Its difficult to get to the city if you don't have your own transport. But will visit again.

Although its not located in a walking distance from Kandy town, but the view is mesmerising and the hotel authentic spirit makes it a magical place to spend a night or 2. Good buffet selection The rooms are somehow old and small, but has balconies which was an added value. Very welcoming staff.

We stayed at Amaya Hills for one night. Lovely garden and views but unfortunately it was overcast / smoggy and we couldn't see much. Staff we interacted with were kind and helpful. They had an extensive buffet of global foods, and the folks I was traveling with said they liked the food best of all the places we stayed. My main issue was that the rooms were not soundproof at all. They have a club there and I heard the bass late into the night. I was woken up in the morning by the sounds of several guests and families passing by in the hallway. It sounded like they were in my room. The rooms (mostly the bathrooms) were also a little more worn than I expected for a 4 star hotel (grime in the tile grout, etc.), but clean overall. Very hot water.

Just one caution it’s not wheelchair friendly otherwise luxurious experience.

The scenic view is breathtaking. One of the must-see places if you enjoy the natural beauty and nature photography. It is over the Mountain. You can also see part of the Kandy city. Unfortunately, there are no neighboring stores or restaurants. There are few little businesses, but if you want to buy something, you must travel a great distance. Without a car, it is difficult.

This is an amazing place with lovely homely vibe. I felt so relaxed and the best sleep that I have had for a long time. The staff here at this location make the experience superb. From meeting us at the door in the middle of the night to always greeting us with a smile and making us at home and especially front staff. The only requirement is that food variety must be expanded.

The only thing this place has is a great view. Rooms not clean and need to be updated. The staff is friendly and do everything they can to make your stay a good one. Overall not worth it.

A great place to stay with some breathtaking views. All the staffs were really nice, helpful and friendly. The breakfast and dinner buffet are great with variety of options to choose. Since 4.5 stars are not possible, 4. If it was not for the rooms being not properly maintained, general maintenance wise and not cleaning vise, I would have given 5 stars.

A very beautiful hotel with an amazing view over Kandy and beautiful landscapes around the city. The hotel grounds are beautifully designed, well maintained and leave nothing to be desired. In the restaurant you get great food at a buffet with a large selection of local and international cuisine. The rooms are immaculate and very well equipped. All the staff, whether at reception, in the restaurant or in housekeeping, are extremely friendly. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

My vacation in Kandy, Sri Lanka, was truly remarkable thanks to Amaya Hills, a four-star hotel. The hotel has a spectacular view from its hilltop location. Throughout the entire trip, the staff was incredibly warm and accommodating. The hotel has high-speed wifi, SPA, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and a nightclub. The hosts provide guests with breakfast and dinner buffets that are well-organized and include a wide variety of alternatives. The personnel will be there to check on your needs and meet them. Each day, they clean the rooms, which are comfortable and come with a mini fridge and a TV. In general, I had a great day at Amaya Hills. It was really worthwhile.

A beautiful hotel located high up on the hill. The staff is welcoming, but expects tips for any service! The rooms were clean and nice; tasty food. I gave five stars just because of the location.

Went for the honeymoon and overall hot happy about it. We booked the honeymoon package which included a decoration, cake and a high tea. Once we went there was only the decoration and we had to ask for the cake and the high tea. Cake was given in the next day and we didn't get any high tea. :-( . really disappointed. Rooms are smaller and older. Overall I'm not happy with this place.

This hotel gets 5 stars for the fabulous views. You can spot Bathalegoda Mountain in the distance . The hotel is built on many levels. It has no lift access to some area and so is wheelchair unfriendly . Older clients will have to climb stairs to reach the restaurant in the upper floors. Quality of service and food is good .

Beautiful place situated near hanthana mountain range. Pool is too cold but clean and nice. Stayed in junior mountain view suite . View was awesome. In daylight can see how mountains covered with cloud and mist. In night can see stars. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious. If you like hiking get ready and go for it.

Perched high above Kandy give amazing views over the town and valleys. We stayed in a shared villa just below but spent most of the time at the hotel. Staff and food are excellent.

We had a pleasant stay there. You will experience views of the majestic Hanthana and Alagalla ranges. Rooms were clean and comfy. Their breakfast buffet was good too. All the servers at the breakfast buffet were so nice and professional.

Had a buffet lunch there. A large variety of food was available to select from. The food was lovely. The service was excellent! Loved the mesmerising scenery. Their lush green gardens and the adjoing forest filled with giant trees make you feel relaxed. An excellent place for those who want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and love staying close to nature. Would definitely go back.

Awesome mountain view can be enjoyed from every corner of the hotel. Universal plug points are installed in the room so you can practically plug anything to it. Balcony is small but the view is breathtaking. Bathroom is clean and tidy. Staff is quick pleasant and helpful. They were very well prepared specially during the buffet. Never got the experience of lunch buffet but the breakfast and the dinner buffets are just 5 starts.

Went for wedding and it having amazing views. But food was below average and wedding hall was small for guests and location needs renovation badly. No separate buffet area and parking here is horrible. Management ruins the beautiful hotel.
