Good place to stay in Benthota. We stayed for 2nights. Food was good and the hospitality was excellent. The outside river view was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Comfortable bed. Cleaned small pool.

I had an event at their venue around the end of 2021. When our event planner started unloading his stuff at the place the manager of the hotel (who was not present at any time during the inspection and that was the first time we saw him) started objecting to decorating in a very rude manner. Then manager who was an relative of the owners were started threatening the event planner and us. He was a good example of bad rep about the people from Kaluwamodara (you can't discuss anything with such a rude person, it was like talking to a brick wall which has no sense). One of the employees at the hotel has told the event planner they have a relative who does decorations and they only let him decorate the reception hall. If you plan on hiring an event planner to have a wonderful event according to your wishes stay clear of this place. Think couple of times before you reserve their reception hall for an event. Also the wash rooms were very dirty and dressing rooms were disgusting.

Great location to be in a vacation with a reasonable cost. Rooms are well cleaned and very well maintained. Washrooms are well cleaned and first class. Everything is perfect inside the room. Really satisfied with the stay. Owner of the hotel is a very humble person. Hospitality is best here. They treated us very well. Highly recommend for family stay.

We have visited this place for a wedding. The place is well maintained and the staff are helpful and service is good. There is enough space inside and outside of the area with a mini bar. The outside view is pleasant.

Very good hotel for our first night upon arrival in Sri Lanka. It’s a very easy location if you don’t want to sleep in Colombo and not travel too far by car after your flight. The view on the Bentota River is absolutely gorgeous, bedrooms are very clean and the pool is beautiful. The staff is super kind and available. Food is amazing! Overall beautiful experience. Would recommend for a short stay !

Very reasonly I visited for a wedding, the food was really horrible. The place was lovely and the location also good, the top management must check with the service and food, they saved us the wine with Tequila glass and I must tell the food was really really bad...the top management must check this very personally...it will be a black mark to the Hotel. Thank you.

Beautiful location, huge wedding reception, delicious foods

Me and friends had a wonderful experience at Hotel Nilwala. It is located right beside the Benthota River where water sports activities are readily available. We got deluxe rooms facing the river and they were very clean and great for the asked price. Food was great and tasty but portion sizes can be improved. It has a nice pool facing the river as well. Overall it was worth the money and I should specially mention Hasitha and the crew who gave us a great service.

A new place when we visited since it was opened in mid 2023. Rooms were clean and spacious. The rooftop area is accessibly and great for a BBQ

I traveled by train with friends, best location closer to Colombo. The service provided by the hotel staff was amazing. We enjoyed the boat ride through the mangroves which was something special. I really wanted to go again and again.

We were looking for a Riverside restaurant to relax and enjoy a few beers and hot snacks. This place was perfect. Thank you to the service team. Good job.

No parking in the hotel premises. Car park is located opposite the hotel. You have to park and cross the Galle Road to enter the hotel. The food is tasty. The back side of the hotel is adjoining to the sea. So the view is breathtaking.

Lovely location with spacious clean rooms. The deluxe rooms is what we stayed for 2 nights on BB. Tasty breakfast and overall good food. The mixed grill and fried beef was the only downside. Though they did provide a discount after complaining. Pool is quite nice and facing the river with a great view. Overall 4.5 stars.

This is pretty much famous hotel in Aluthgama area. Mostly used this for fuctions like weddings. There is rooms facilities also in this hotel. Prices are resonable in this place and the staff doing a good job here in serving customers.
