There
are
just
so
many
places
to
visit
in
Sri
Lanka
but
getting
from
place
to
place
can
take
several
hours.
So,
from
a
logistics
point
of
view,
Sri
Lanka
is
the
sort
of
place
where
you
need
to
get
a
private
guide
who
doubles
up
as
a
driver
to
take
you
around
the
island.
I
reached
out
to
Fazeel
after
seeing
his
reviews
and
profile
SRILANKA
AUTHENTIC
EXPERIENCE
on
Instagram
about
2
months
ago.
He
is
the
owner
of
this
company
and
he
and
his
team
have
been
running
private
tours
for
the
last
7
years.
I
was
lucky
I
got
the
man
himself
and
I
told
him
what
I
wanted
to
see
and
asked
him
to
create
an
itinerary
based
on
the
period
of
my
stay.
He
came
up
with
the
itinerary
based
on
the
locality
of
hotels
I
had
booked
(some
of
which
were
further
away
from
the
main
towns)
and
made
several
recommendations
and
tweaks
before
we
finalised
it
in
a
week.
When
we
arrived,
it
didn’t
take
long
for
us
to
develop
great
chemistry
with
the
guy.
He
is
incredibly
nice,
energetic
and
accommodating,
and
often
gave
good
advice
and
looked
out
for
us.
He
is
also
very
perceptive
and
would
do
spontaneous
things
based
on
what
he
thinks
we
would
like,
such
as
stopping
by
local
markets,
antique
shops
or
fruit
or
street
food
stalls
along
the
way
(because
he
knew
we
enjoyed
the
local
experience).
It
also
didn’t
take
long
to
realise
that
he
enjoyed
taking
photos
and
videos,
so
we
pretty
much
became
each
other’s
photographer.
I
mean,
the
man
sure
know
his
best
angles.
It
also
explains
all
the
posey
photos
of
me
including
the
Tik
Tok
video
of
G
and
I
in
Tamil.
The
whole
experience
made
us
feel
like
we
were
being
shown
around
by
a
friend
and
in
return,
we
would
invite
him
to
join
us
for
dinner
and
drinks
and
even
celebrated
Eid
with
him.
It’s
safe
to
say
that
by
the
end
of
the
trip,
Fazeel
wasn’t
just
a
guide,
he
had
become
a
friend.
I
will
meet
Fazeel
again
when
I
next
visit
Sri
Lanka
to
travel
to
the
North
and
East.
In
the
meantime,
if
you

planning

the

your
own.
Select
the
hotels
you
wish
to
stay
and
let
Fazeel
book
them
because
as
a
local,
he
can
get
better
rates.
