Situated on the Bank of Mahaweli river, a nuce place for an outing. Need to go down some steep steps. Liquor is not available but allowed from outside. Rice and noodles were okay.

Best place for small get-together, birthday parties & etc. I personally can't recommend it for a family outing. But good for boys only parties & celebrations. Situated on the River banks of Mahaveli & each Kabana's are spacious enough for 10 people at once. I like their service & atmosphere. But the food is bit overpriced & the portions are small.

This is a perfect place for hangout. The ambience is elegant,with a soothing atmosphere that instantly put you at ease. Staff is friendly and supportive. They have range of different dishes which are reasonable for the price.. 10/10.

Our most recent venture to Kumbuka Restaurant by the serene Mahaweli River left much to be desired. The culinary experience, unfortunately, did not live up to expectations. The dishes we sampled were notably lacking in flavor, and an excessive use of oil rendered them far from appetizing, raising concerns about their healthiness. Compounding our dissatisfaction was the subpar service. There was a significant delay in receiving our meals, leaving us waiting with anticipation. Regrettably, this delay did not translate into an improvement in the quality of the dishes served. In summary, our visit to Kumbuka Restaurant fell short of the pleasant dining experience we had hoped for. The lackluster food quality and service challenges make it difficult to recommend this establishment for those seeking a satisfying culinary adventure.

During our visit with friends, we experienced very poor service. It took almost an hour to receive lunch, which wasn't very good either. However, the location is beautiful.
