Stunningly good food for the local and western palates made by a brother/sister team (see pics for photos of the two days of lunches and a selection of the daily varying dishes). A great selection of food that changes daily. So good that my parents and I have been back now two days running for lunch and will be going back again tomorrow and probably the day after! The mango curry was truly stunning, the mutton nicely warming and spicy with a great tenderness but firmness, lovely yellow rice and prawns that were juicy and fresh and then the lovely tomato, pineapple, red onion and lime juice and chill salad. Just devine.

Really good Sri Lankan food! The place is slightly tricky to find, so do call the number when you are near.. We ended up trying all the items they had, and they were more than willing to offer us smaller portions! 🤗

Authenticity and uniqueness. So many restaurants that do Rice & Curry but Mandiya always manages to come out on top. The food being prepared by cooks who are experienced in making the traditional curries provide such an experience that creates a whole new benchmark for Rice & Curry. To top it all off, delivery at its finest. Thanks to PickMe Food, I’m able to get myself and my dad some lunch and then have a perfect afternoon nap!!

OMG, this place is AMAZING! A small and seriously authentic curry and rice restaurant tucked behind a shopping centre. It’s absolutely well worth tracking down. Genuinely the best food we’ve had in Sri Lanka and such lovely, friendly people. The beef curry available on our visit was the star of the show, but everything else was divine too. I’d come back to Kandy just to come here!

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in kandy names called Mandiya. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Kandy. Highly recommend!

We visited the restaurant with our guide Thushara. It’s in the center of Kandy, Sri Lanka and a fantastic little restaurant. Great way to try authentic Sri Lankan foods as a foreigner. Great taste, very nice owners. Limited choice but honest and fantastic tasting food. Surely recommended if you want to try healthy local food. Very doable with kids aswell. Fam. Cortebeeck

The place is a little hard to find but if you find it, you will never forget it. This is hands down the best meal we have had in Sri Lanka. I cannot recommend this place enough. The freshly fried chicken with the rice, vegetables and chutney with the smiling faces serving you! A MUST VISIT if you are in Kandy!

Food here was amazing. It was prepared really well and presentation was top notch. We found the food to be really tasty and authentic. I would recommend it to anyone in Kandy looking to have some authentic Sri Lankan cuisine.

A little harder to find but WHAT a find! They serve different curries, you get a choice of veg/chicken/pork/fish and it was all so good! Our group tried all except for the fish, and we loved it all. It is quite spicy and visited by many locals for pick-up as well. Highly recommend!

A Hidden gem in Kandy. Food is simple yet very nourishing. It’s also very clean and tasty with authentic Sri Lanka spices. They cook everything in front of the customer. It feels like going to a Japanese Sushi Bar and look at the chef, in Sri Lanka version. I felt so much at peace here.

we had the privilege of trying their traditional lunch menu and the action station menu and It was absolutely delicious! especially the hoppers served for dinner! the food were freshly cooked and authentic also brought out alot of traditional tastes and values ! thank you ! keep up the good work!
