Ranmasu Uyana, also known as the Royal Park, is a garden complex which is situated in Anuradhapura. It is located in close proximity to the Isurumuni Viharaya and Tissa Wewa. The initial gardens were built during the reign of King Tissa in 3rd century BC. More pleasure related features were added to the garden later during the 8th and 9th centuries. Historically famed loving couple Saliya and Asokamala are believed to have met at Ranmasu Uyana. The archaeologically popular site “Start Gate”, which is believed to indicate communication between humans and extra-terrestrial beings, is located in this garden. If you are getting directions from Google maps, remember that it will show a wrong road. You can go to the Isurumuniya car park and walk towards your right side to find the entrance. The entrance is near the Isurumuniya public washrooms.

One of a great sacred place in Anuradhapura called Ranmasu Uyana. Some peoples wrongly identified it as a star gate or bathing area of royal women. But its a buddhist temple complex. And the star gate sign is about maybe Nirvana. The Lord Buddha preached monks not to search about the galaxy. So why buddhist in ancient times carved that type of symbols?

Ranmasu Uyana or Golden Fish garden was a royal garden from 3rd century BC. You can find the famous Star Gate here. People believe that this garden has a history extending to tge period of Ravana. There are pleasure pools which were used by royals for pleasure built in around 7th and 8th Century AD. Water is supplied to these ponds from the Thissa wewa wich is adjecent to the park.

(Translated by Google) The goldfish garden Ranmassu Gardens is a garden containing the ancient Magul Gardens of Sri Lanka. It is located near the Isurumuni Vihara and Tisa Wewa in the Anuradhapura town of Sri Lanka. Located on 40 acres (16 hectares), it is an outstanding example of horticultural architecture in Sri Lanka. According to an inscription found in Wessagiriya, the garden was supplied with water by the Tissa Wewa and subsequently released to the paddy fields around the Isurumuni Vihara. The Royal Gardens were first built during the reign of King Tissa (3rd century BC). However, today's pavilions and other fixtures are still in use. Dates from the 8th to 9th centuries. Published in the Internet and television documentaries, carving in the garden known as the "Sakwala Chakra" is an interface or a star door between humans and intelligent people. Archaeologists have said that the carving could be a first-world map. There are various ponds in the garden and ruins of small buildings. According to legend, Prince Saliya is believed to have met Ashokamalla in this garden. Ranmasu Uyana, located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, is a historical garden dating back to ancient times. Translating to "Gold Fish Park," it is believed to have been a pleasure garden for the royalty during the reign of King Agbo II (604-614 AD). This unique garden features a sophisticated irrigation system and several ponds, including the Lotus Pond, which is particularly renowned for its intricate design. Ranmasu Uyana is also home to the famous Isurumuniya Lovers' sculpture, a carved depiction of a couple in a loving embrace. The serene atmosphere, coupled with the historical and artistic elements, makes Ranmasu Uyana a compelling site for both history enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful escape. The combination of ancient ruins, well-maintained ponds, and the artistic treasures scattered throughout the area contributes to its charm and significance.
