Visit this place if you are coming to dandeli.

Entry fee 50/- per person. Before reaching the destination you have to do little off-roading with narrow roads. Good parking space available for car's and bike's. You need to walk down a lot of steps to reach to the rocks. One local shop you will find on the way, also washroom facility is there, however cleanliness is not maintained. After reaching the destination you will be amazed to see the beauty of the nature. Best place for photography. Make sure you don't go beyond the safe zone area, guards are present for people's safety. This place is something worth going and enjoying your time.

“A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence."... ............ Exploring Karnataka....at Dandeli...... The famous monolithic granite.....Syntheri Rock..... At a distance of 31 km from Dandeli and 16 km from Ulavi, Syntheri Rock is monolithic granite structure with a height of 300 feet, which is located in the dense forests of Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. It is one of the top Dandeli tourist places to visit. Syntheri Rock is a huge, massive limestone rock formed due to volcanic eruptions some million years ago. It is named after an English lady called Ms. Cinthera who is believed to have discovered this place in 20th century. River Kaneri passes along the side of this rock. Owing to the flow of the river from the vicinity, erosion has resulted in the rocks getting hollowed. The corners of this rock cave are inhabited by numerous pigeons and honeybees. Entry to the venue is controlled by forest department. The site can be reached either by jeep or by walk through the dense forest from the entrance. At the entrance visitors need to pay nominal entry fee and vehicles can go up to the parking area from where visitors need to climb down to reach the base. There is a 15-20 minute walk from the vehicle parking to the rock. A flight of 200 odd steps downwards lead you to the base. The steps are very steep and various types of rocks found in the forest are displayed along the steps.

It's a nice place but i would suggest to visit this place only when the flow of the river is more but one thing i noticed is there is a board in which it is clearly written to not to go very close to the river and they have restricted the bank also with ropes for people to know that they should not go beyond that point but Indians if start following rules it will be a insult to India only right. People crosses those boundaries and go in the river just for the sake of clicking photos and risking lifes. Don't do it guys. It's a nice place don't ruin it's beauty. People littering near river really breaked my heart.

Hidden deep within the lush forests of Dandeli, Syntheri Rocks is a natural wonder that is sure to amaze and enchant visitors of all ages. This towering rock formation, carved by the relentless forces of nature over millennia, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. As I made my way down the winding path towards the rocks, the anticipation grew. The air was filled with the sounds of the forest, and the sunlight filtered through the canopy of trees, creating a dappled effect on the ground. Upon reaching the base of the rocks, I was awestruck by their sheer size and grandeur. The sheer vertical rock face towered above me, its smooth surface reflecting the sunlight in a mesmerizing way. I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder as I stood before this natural masterpiece. As I climbed the steps leading up to the viewing platform, I was rewarded with even more stunning views. The lush greenery of the forest stretched as far as the eye could see, dotted with glimpses of the Kali River winding its way through the valley. The air was fresh and invigorating, and I could feel the stress of everyday life melting away. At the top of the viewing platform, I took a moment to soak in the panoramic views. The scenery was simply breathtaking. The rolling hills, the winding river, and the vast expanse of the forest all came together to create a scene of unparalleled beauty. Syntheri Rocks is a truly hidden gem in Dandeli. It is a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the serenity of nature. Whether you are a nature lover, an adventurer, or simply someone who appreciates beauty, Syntheri Rocks is a must-visit destination. Here are some additional tips for visiting Syntheri Rocks: Go early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. Wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing some climbing. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Be respectful of the natural environment.

Named after a british lady, this rock with small waterfall deep in the jungle with its own unique charm.. Dandeli to Synteri Rocks is about 24kms journey through forest. You need to pass through couple of checkposts. The stream of water cutting across the volcanic rock. While its prohibited to go into the water as the rocks are slippery and dangerous, the view from a little above is good enough. The route is not great but you can go slowly. Lot of improvement happening over the route and the approach to the bottom of the falls. The steps to get down to the bottom of the falls are steep and may be difficult for old people but can be managed slowly. The view from top is completely different from the view from bottom so suggest you to experience both. In the mid way, there is a small shop where you get refreshments so you xan take a break thete. Guess there are about 250 steps but some are steep ones. Now they are fixing them to make it better. Since it is in the forest, the path you take has shade and need not worry about hiking during the mid day by nevertheless morning or evening will be pleasant. Thete are washrooms at the parking but not maintained.

A soothing, peaceful place with water in every season. The water is green and epic beauty. You would have to walk down 320 stairs to reach the water. The place is filled with tall green trees everywhere and so the wind keeps flowing.

Awesome view, nice place to visit, you need to pay 50rs in the front of the gate + parking is 30rs. There is no any adventurous activities, you can not swim here, the only river is view point, no any other view points. You can buy food here, one small shop is there, and you can not seat and eat food beside the river.Inside this place toilets also there. I suggest forest department add some adventurous activities and make one small garden, so tourists can spend thier more time in this place. there is lots of green snakes in this place, please be aware that.

A must visit place if you're in Dandeli. You can park your car in Syntheri Rocks Hebbagilu. From there you can either choose to walk from the entrance for around 10-15 mins or take your vehicle. There's an entry fee. Second part of the journey you'll have to go by walk where you might have to walk around 200 steps which is quite slippery during Rainy season, so be careful and hold onto guard rails. Once you climb down the steps you can view the rock formation and water gushing.

This unique flow of water cutting through the granite rock is deep inside the Dandeli Anshi forest. The last two kms of the drive is a complete off-road . Only accessible by own transport. No other way to reach . The entrance fee is ₹50 per adult and the parking charges for a car is ₹50. There are washrooms which are not maintained well. There are about 100 stairs to descend to view the syntheri rocks. Half of the stairs are extremely steep. There are enough benches provided for resting. Plz note that , the shop over here does not sell cool drinks or water. Hence it is better to carry the same on your own. The view is great . There are huge cave formations which is a home to pigeons. Overall good experience . But I felt the effort required is too much for the view. Worth only if you are a wanderer or you wanna tick off things from a list.

Beautiful place. Approx 50km away from dandeli. Approx 270 steps difficult for old people. But you should fill full petrol before going there. Only 2 Petrol bunk are available in dandeli in and around no petrol bunks and very less humans as it's full of forest You will enjoy drive in bike . Its peaceful and riding in forest area is awesome. But fill petrol otherwise you will be in trouble.

Synthetic Rocks is MUST visit place on your Dandeli trip. It is located outside of Dandeli but it is worth visiting. You cannot play by getting into water instead can watch and enjoy the view/scenario. One should walk and get down through stairs to meet the place to enjoy the water. SIT, RELAX AND SPENT TIME ON ROCK NEAR TO WATER !!! Old age people can stay away or be at parking area and enjoy the weather. Place is well maintained with nice trees and greenery. You’ll get mud Road to Syntheri rocks for few meters from entrance. Need around 2-3 hours to complete the path.

Worth visiting. You have to walk for 10 minutes and the steps are very steep. But worth making that effort. Elderly people can definitely not walk down the steps....you get some snacks and water there.....kids play area is also there.....do not enter water as it is very dangerous and slippery there.....

Must visit place when you are visiting Dandeli! Beautiful scenes narrating the tale of the slow and steady process of erosion and formation of rock structures on this monolithic mountain. 50 Rs entry fee and additional 50Rs charge for parking.

Amazingly maintained place. DO NOT MISS This place. It’s around 30kms from Ganeshgudi, Dandeli. The journey to this place is amazing and high chances to spot wild life. One needs to walk down around 100steps to view the falls. The jaunt rock formation and river Kali flowing through this place. It’s surely a visual treat.

Beautiful place to visit if you are a nature enthusiast. Beautiful and scenic, right in middle of dense forest. Old rocks make you realise how old earth could be. There is no proper tarmac road leading to the rocks, it's just a way formed by vehicles going through. No swimming/bathing advisable given the nature of the rocks, highly dangerous, if done. Climb down to the fall is easy, not the other way, as it is quite high.
