Quite a magnificent hall that could be a tourist attraction. Youth take their insta photos at the park across from here.

Kinda broken and not taken care off! Feeling sorry for the palace. Moreover, it's not been properly locked or anything. They don't have car parking. Could have better managed. But whatever part is open, it's good.

It was built by the British as King Edward Memorial Hall in honour of Edward VII. After the war, this palace was an orthopedic rehabilitation hospital. And became Harcourt Butler Technological Institute in 1920. After independence in 1947, this was renamed as Gandhi Bhawan. Gandhi Bhawan now houses a municipal library and the Kanpur Museum.
