👑Absolutely LOVED the vibe of King G and you can’t beat the location! 🤤Also, the food & drinks? To. Die. For. 😋I loved my corned beef sandwich as it was super flavorful and while the meat wasn’t dry by any means, there was NO soggy bread! We also had marinated mushrooms, marinated artichokes, and pretzels with superb pickled onions and mustard. 🥃Then, the drink!!! It may come close to being a favorite of all time….seriously. I can’t speak for the other drinks on the menu because the Trotter Smash stole my heart. 😉Get to King G’s and try it all for yourself! I recommend bringing a healthy appetite.

Great spot in the crossroads. Great atmosphere and energy. The cocktails are very tasty. The Paloma is ultra refreshing. The sandwiches are good and the portions are pretty big. The staff is ultra helpful and is great at answering questions. Nice trendy place to meet up.

Very interesting place. Eclectic menu, and the sandwiches were very good. The Italian Muffuletta was pretty tasty, but was obviously made many hours in advance, and was soggy in the middle. It was very flavorful. The Corned Beef sandwich was excellent. They've done a great job of creating intriguing menu items, just not so great at preparing them freshly. Biggest surprise: 2 sandwiches, sides and cookies (no drinks): $46.82!!! #stinger

I have followed the ever changing building at the corner of 18th and Locust for almost three years now. One of Jillian's and my favorite bars is on the same corner so it was easy to peak into the ever changing space. Owner Eric Flanagan went through a building collapse and flooding basement to name a few devastating events that kept his dream from opening any sooner. King G's reminds us of our favorite place New York City. From the moment you turn the corner walking to the restaurant you can feel the small town deli vibe. The small signage even resonates a a warm old I have been here for year glow. Intentionally King G is separate into two separate spaces. The darker bars feels more like your neighborhood small town bar and the white bright deil side feels just like a NYC deli. One great choices King G's made was to seak the help of chef Howard Hanna former co-owner of Rieger for the menu. The bar is broken into an upper larger full bar and a lower level smaller bar with a few less drinks. Both bars serve food that you pickup from the space next door. Jillian order the Turkey and Swiss and I had the Pastrami on Rye. The meats come from local butcher shops and the bread comes from Blackhole Bakery a local favorite. Both sandwiches fantastic as you would expect from a local sandwich shop. We even enjoyed speaking to our bartender. With the owner being a huge New York Giants fan it gave Jillian something to sink her nerdy teeth into. The evening was fantastic and we can't wait to come back. A good friend of mine coined the phrase Trust them with your mouth. King G's deserves your mouths trust no question.

Overall 8.2/10 This is a great place to stop in and have a couple of cocktails. A bit on the pricier side but for good reason. This place is beautifully designed and decorated. The atmosphere is welcoming and in a great area with a lot of surrounding shops and bars/restaurants. Upstairs is open to everyone and from what I understand the bottom is sometimes reserved for parties or events. Would recommend coming in for some hand-crafted cocktails and relax the night away.

Great set up. The deli is on one side and the bar is on the other, but they are connected and you can order from the deli at the bar. The pastrami on rye was delicious as was the pasta salad. They have a pretty decent beer ($6-8) and cocktail ($11-13) selection. Staff was super friendly. Great addition to the Crossroads!

I really love the layout of this bar. It is open and airy and the garage doors and windows make it breezy and nice. When we went in it wasn't crowded so we sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and made me a negroni that was on point. We also had a fearless John that was unique and outstanding. The food was a little less interesting than the drinks. The egg salad sando was a bit dry as was the grain salad. We also ordered pickles which were described as a mix of sour & half sour but turned out to be 2 ordinary pickle spears. For $3 I was hoping for something that at least seemed house made. The star of the food show was the corned beef sandwich. It was tasty and had a generous amount of meat & cheese on soft rye bread with just enough mustard. I love corned beef so this was the clear winner. I would definitely go back to drink here, but I'm going to need to give the food another chance.

I really like the atmosphere here, very spacious lively and open bar. I will be returning to try the food and will update my review when I do. Loved the drink choices depending on what level you are on. We went to lower level of king g .

Great atmosphere. Went here for a happy hour with coworkers and there was something for everyone. They had some light holiday decorations up and it was perfect. It's a cute place. And this bar is great to meet friends because there isn't loud pumping music so you can actually have a conversation. Street parking only, casual enough for jeans but dressing up still fits.

Very cool location with friendly bartenders, definitely has a great vibe, with a nice list of good beers on tap or bottle. It was a perfect time to walk in around sunset to enjoy a beer and have Pastrami on Rye from deli next door. Just order at the bar and they’ll bring it out to you.

KING G has been a place more than a bar to go to frequently. It has amazing cocktails and a knowledgeable staff on their plethora of spirits they carry. Also a great selection of sandwiches and small plates to munch on if you’re in need of a bite. 10/10 a place to come back to regularly.

Always an awesome time here - the cocktails are deliciously unique and the beer on draft never fails to disappoint, featuring staple favorites and the latest from some of KC's best breweries that you can't get at the surrounding bars on the block! The Pit Bar and the murals inside and out really set it apart from other spots but the folks here are also some of the best around and really make it the amazing place that it is :)
