😠 HORRIBLE!! My granddaughter is likely to have metastatic cancer. She had a biopsy done in the nurses and doctors do not know how to manage pain. They tell you of all the wonderful services the hospital provides such as a team dedicated to distraction during bedside procedures but they don't show up.... People often mention hospital, room,

HORRIBLE!! My granddaughter is likely to have metastatic cancer. She had a biopsy done in the nurses and doctors do not know how to manage pain. They tell you of all the wonderful services the hospital provides such as a team dedicated to distraction during bedside procedures but they don't show up. The nurses are under trained and under educated. The nurses seem to be there for a paycheck only which is extremely sad on the oncology unit. We will be seeking treatment elsewhere.

Wish I could give zero stars! This hospital has gotten bad! The staff are rude and they lie just to get their way. Your not allowed to state that the hospital has gotten bad or else they threaten to kick u out.

Wish I could give a zero. Over 8 hours in wait room, due to lack of communication was supposed to be admitted. Which didn't happen til 3am. Iv hung, not given, didn't meet with anyone til discharge then referred us to a specialist. 2 full days for nothing, hemoglobin level dropped 2 points and can't tell me why still. Went off of other hospital cultures and cts so why was I referred to this nightmare to make her worse.

My baby had outpatient surgery today they were amazing I was so nervous to do this with him being so young(3yrs) but they were detailed and walked us thru every step of the way. They constantly checked in along the way and took the extra mile to make sure he was comfortable traveling back home. He was laughing and smiling the whole time i don't even think my kid knows he had surgery haha that is top tier skills!

We had an amazing experience here. The emergency room staff was excellent and upfront with everything. We had to transfer to a room, which was smooth. My daughter's nurse and surgery team, especially Dr. St. Peter and the anesthesiologist were all well informed and polite. Sabrina in the Surgery waiting room gave extra effort to keep everyone informed and upbeat! I wouldn't hesitate to come here again. Just make sure you get a map!

We travel from South Carolina to bring our daughter here. She her illness began 3 years ago we have had to go to over 10 different hospitals in different states. Children’s Mercy hospital is by far the best hospital that we have encountered. Kindness, high quality of care and intelligence skilled doctors who are able to think outside of the box. Dr St. Peter is the best! Our family is SO grateful for this place. Definitely worth the travel

I love the care that this hospital has and there expectations they have for there staff. Only thing i wish all children's mercy hospitals had is kid friendly bathrooms. I took my son to the bathroom and the toliets and urinals are for adults and my son had trouble reaching the sinks. If anyone can direct me to the person to talk to about this id appreciate it

Hate children's mercy, if they can't provide treatment right away they should shut down the facility.

Literal joke of a hospital do not bring your child here! Sat in waiting room for 5 hours being ignored after their nurse is the one who said to bring her in. Never checked on my daughter for hours, wouldn’t bring my dog here if it were sick!

My daughter has had multiple hospital stays here as well as clinic visits. The nurses, Doctors, staff all the way to cleaning crew have always been so kind helpful and accommodating. The Doctors listen to your concerns and I truly appreciated that. Would highly recommend Children's Mercy Hospital.
