Kim Keys and Loc'd was great !!! The bartenders were good. The server on the floor was very distracted. So patrons had to go to the bar for drinks.

First time visiting The Blue Room for a show. This happened to be the 5 o'clock Friday night free jazz show. It was a real treat seeing (hearing) Lady D and her band! Great ambience, a wonderful mix of people in a really welcoming space. Had previously visited the museum, a "don't miss!" and was just as thrilled with this experience. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. We got to watch a jazz set and they were awesome. The drinks were strong and the atmosphere is so cool. If anyone is looking for a top notch jazz bar this is it.

Definitely a cool live music venue in Kansas City. All ages are welcome. I'm hoping to go back again soon to check out the museum affiliated with The Blue Room.

Saw Joe Cartwright, and several other free performances, was so impressed with the entry free nights. Children are allowed in as well for thier musical enrichment. Excellent date night place!

I"m giving 4 stars for music and atmosphere.Poor Service, no server at the table, bartender was slow and not very friendly. Needless to say, tip reflected service. I'm sure the place lost money on drinks, but the music was over the top.

Classic jazz club within the KC Jazz Museum. The Indigo Hour every Friday is a great way to start the weekend, and of course later shows on Friday and Saturday night—if you want to have a true KC Jazz experience visit the Blue Room y’all! @kimyarla

First time going to a Jass club, so I figured I would go to one of the best! We were able to get a table and share a couple of drinks watching Lady D and the band. It was a wonderful experience and a great performance. We truly enjoyed it. I would go back anytime. I met a couple of locals and had a blast! Highly recommend coming her for a show!

Lady D and her group was slamming they played 60, 70 and current music all that sung her back up singer and drummer were fire. The bass guitar and painist was slamming to got a chance to take pics but not on my phone. She said what's up Boston so you know my head was blown up and she did audience participation which was splendid. My twin and I stayed for quartet was able to take pic with joe, yes again not my camera the phone camera was horrible but my friend she took pictures so I was happy. Would definitely recommend the locals, people in the USA and overseas to come to your establishment. Definitely next time in Missouri will come again. You certainly are the cat's meow with all that JAZZ. LOVE THE PICTURES AND MURALS AND LADY IN CLEAR PIC JUST BEYOND THE WALL.

Great small room for live music. The Jazz Disciples were amazing. Miss Cara, the new education director at the American Jazz Museum, has one of the best singing voices I have ever heard. There were several KC Jazz elite that sat in with the group.

We really enjoyed our time there at The American Jazz Museum particularly the Blue Room where they had some Live Jazz. It was great!! We were visiting from El Paso Texas. We were there for the Thursday Night Football game at Arrowhead but got to experience a lot of the nice places Kansas City has to offer.

I cannot give the music and hospitality of 4/28/23 off my mind. I haven't been to a Jazz Venue in some time, and the Music had me crying inside over Why I ever left. The richness of the trio playing was absolutely transporting! I'm horrible with names, but I caught one singer's name, Chloe. Terrific. A while later a quartet played that was a total joy, especially in watching the good time that Trent (I think) had, playing that trumpet. The music - great, the house - great, and the people - Great! I WILL BE BACK to the Blue Room!

The blue room is iconic. I brought my father in law to see Misha Roberts play, between her amazing performance and all the jazz history, it is now a requirement to stop in for a show whenever he is in town.

I love the Blue Room and everything about it. They don’t serve food and don’t have an extensive selection of alcohol but it’s definitely adequate. People go to the Blue room for the wonderful music, atmosphere, and camaraderie and it never fails to impress.

Did not eat. Went for the Jazz. After 30 min while sitting at the bar, I asked the bartender for a drink. Southern style, leave ya alone...not busy early on. Parallel Street Parking-fun stuff. Make the trip, interesting part of town at night

I rarely review places unless they're outstanding and this venue is fantastic. If you found this review somehow, please do yourself a favor and come visit The Blue Room. If it hadn't been for my friend vouching for this place I wouldn't have ever gone and I wouldn't know what I was missing out on. The music is outstanding, the staff is phenomenal and the overall atmosphere is welcoming to new people and so positive. I want to come back even if it's out of my way just to experience what I did tonight again.

We typically come here for Monday night jam sessions. The musicians are wonderful, and it is awesome that younger musicians get an opportunity to play. Everyone is very welcome to one another. People of all ages and backgrounds come to play or just to watch. The service is excellent. I order dirty martinis, and this place really knows how to make them. We have brought friends visiting from out of town here, and they loved it!

I love The Blue Room for it's jazz, history and people. The Blue Martini is my Indigo Hour ritual. The Good Drink is a house Special. Staffing is always a problem, don't expect instant service. (The Museum is always underfunded). The cheerful attitude of your server will make up for it. So go immerse yourself in history at the 18th and Vine.

Always a good time. This time we went for the Jazz at Noon series. My 9 month old sons first time. I was sad there wasn't any type of beverage service, even carafes of self serve water or coffee would have been great

This is a nice cozy bar to have a drink and listen to jazz. The lady bartender was very welcoming and knew a lot of history about the area. A great experience for tourists.

I wish I could give 10 stars. This place is unbeatable for real Kansas City jazz. The people there treated us like family. I was even given a private tour of the museum by a very kind lady who showed me her relatives that were in the historic photos in the museum! And then there was the MUSIC! The music was off the chain! Overall a great experience! Highly recommended! Thank you to all at The Blue Room‼️♥️

Love this place. The music is always great to listen to. Not large enough for the crowd but being a historical landmark makes this impossible.
