One of my favorites in KC! Tasty, flavorful food with fresh ingredients. The beef tikka is amazing and the pita pockets are delicious!

Still one of the best places to grab lunch in the City market and most of their lunch items are still 7.99. The variety is amazing, and everything they have is delicious. They also have about a million spices for literally any anything you can think of. The prices are very reasonable as well. I forgot how much I enjoyed this place, so I'll probably be coming here alot more again now that I work closer here.

I have walked past this place not really realizing there is a restaurant inside the spice market. The food is delicious and definitely worth a try. I ordered the spicy lamb shish kabob lunch.

Bruh, this is a spicy store. Smells so good when walking in. They even have the Kansas City BBQ powder. Yum.

SO dang good. New to KC and have been looking for a solid Indian/Middle-Eastern food option that was unique and offered something special. Definitely found it here. Everything is made from scratch, fresh and delicious. Already been here twice in a week because it was so good. This location is also a spice shop, where I found some excellent curry for cooking at home. Seems to be a family owned operation which I always like to support as well. Five stars!

You can not find a better place to get fresh spices and dried herbs. I've been solely using their products for over 10yrs. I buy and send spices from here to my sister in Georgia all the time.

Good food, freshly prepared. Seared meats, protein-filled pastries and kabobs a’plenty. I’d definitely recommend this takeout-only eatery and spice shop, but not during the weekend rush, when it took us 40 minutes to get our food.

Delicious meal that comes from the spices. This Indian place breaks away from the expectations of curry dishes and gives you a flavorful dish of meat cooked and spiced properly with two side dishes. We got the tikka marsala chicken and kebab platter. The tikka marsala chicken was great paired with its rice. Then the lamb kebab was simply amazing. Really enjoyed this meal and its flavors.

The spice selection is FANTASTIC! But they are not cheap. The chicken tikka is just fantastic, rice a little spicy, the salad very refreshing. Update: Tuesday pm: it was the busiest we've seen it on a weekday! The Tikka wrap was as solid as every, we skipped the rice and doubled the salad with it's minty dressing.

Take in mind that this review was only towards the food they make and not their spices: When I ordered butter chicken I was imagining a more curry based dish, but I was wrong. The food was still decent and fairly cheap. The thing that was disappointing was my experience with waiting. I believe I waited for about 51 minutes to get my food. It was also very difficult to hear your number being called out even if you're standing right by their doorway.

We got the butter chicken and lamb kebobs. Both were tasty and filling. It came with a small salad with cheese and what seemed to be a tzatziki sauce based salad. The butter chicken was not like any other Indian butter chicken I've had before, in the USA or other countries, because there was no apparent creamy buttery sauce and the flavor was not familiar. The dish was good, but not what I expected or craved. The Tikka House smells wonderful inside and seems to be a fantastic place to get spices. The man behind the counter was friendly and courteous.

First visit, encouraged by reviews here, first google review. 100% agree that food, spice selection and gracious staff are extraordinary and well worth repeat trips. I was there during lunch crush but happily spent my wait time selecting spices. Went home so happy! Eggplant curry with fresh salad and spinach feta pocket were a treat, but eggplant salad was sublime!!! Must go back soon, could eat the eggplant salad every day. Mmmm! Thank you, Tikka House. My kitchen smells wonderful!

We love to drop in and grab the pita pockets!! They’re an incredible version of a homemade Hot Pocket and we are obsessed!! We grab a couple at once and take them home to eat during the week. Sooo so good!! Everything else is super fun and they have an amazing selection of spices! The service is also amazing and the staff are all so nice!!! So glad they’re in the City Market!

Been here so many times and every time the people are so incredibly nice and friendly, I always leave with a warm fuzzy feeling. Food is amazing as well, I brought my mom here and she said the food was "so good I can't explain." They also have a good amount of vegan and vegetarian options and are super accommodating. 11/10 would recommend this place to everyone. ❤️

A small spice shop in the middle of the River Market, Tikka House has some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. I truly enjoyed the chicken Tikka wrap. It was just spicy enough, with a cooling dressing and delicious, perfectly cook rice. A definite winner. While you wait foe your food, don't forget to check out the amazing array for spice blends.
