This hotel is lacking in amenities. It should be ranked as a 3 star. The rooms are spacious, clean, and come with a view. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Regarding the amenities and the remaining stay…It was very difficult to grab a quick drink or cocktail as there’s no clear direction on restaurant services. I don’t know if anything was even open. The pool is antiquated and very disappointing. It is not close to the rooms. The hotel provided 4 pool chairs for their guests. The rest of the guests were sitting on the concrete. No poolside drink or food services. I would not consider this area/pool of the hotel accessible to those with physical disabilities. The hotel appears to be better suited for conferences, corporate stays, or maybe weddings. It was not a good fit for our needs.

Everything was great at the hotel. The room was clean the beds were very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The only criticism I have is that I think that the restaurant on the mezzanine is way too expensive. But you do have a captive because there's just really no other place to go there in the hotel.

I'd rate this 7/10, or 3.5/5. The AC wouldn't get very cold. Room service was non-intrusive which is good. Our room was missing something off the shower and it left weird sticky squares next to the shampoo and conditioner. The toilets didn't have a lot of pressure or something because they wouldn't flush all the way sometimes, similar to if you go to a grandparent in the country's house when you are not supposed to flush paper 😬. Otherwise the view was nice (28th floor). The pools were interesting. I don't think the main one was supposed to be a saltwater pool, it was salty because so many people had been in it which is actually disgusting when you think about it. I went to the pool twice and the second time it was only barely salty compared to the first time being VERY salty.

Conveniently located in downtown and connected to the crown center shopping center. Despite its disparaging history when it was the Hyatt Regency, it has been rebuilt and host many conventions. To be frank, the rooms could use a nice do over with the removal of the old stained carpets and upgraded bath tubs to walk in showers (you can see the age on the tubs), it’s still a nice and comfortable hotel. The photos on the wall had what appeared to be blood on it, the reason I say this is because it was quite out of character with the rest of the photo (see attached picture).Gym is nice and practical, make note on which tower you’re in to not get on the wrong elevator which wasn’t pointed out to us initially which consisted of us going all the way up and back down on one set of elevators to get on the others. Didn’t try the restaurant.

I had a very nice experience here. Room was very nice, had a great view of downtown KC and service was good. Located close to Crown Center. Hard for me to not think of the 100+ people who died in the lobby back in 1981 (when it was a Hyatt), but still a very nice property.

It may seem minuscule but I love the fact that check in takes literally 60 seconds when booked online. Also it’s the small things like complimentary bottled water and a coffee maker in the room. Would definitely recommend! Stayed on the 27th floor out of 40 floors and the view of KC is still spectacular. Pool and hot tub are both heated and open YEAR ROUND!

This was a wonderful stay! The room was large and very clean. The view was beautiful from the 35th floor. My only issue was no microwave in the rooms but they do have them at the end of the hall. The service was spectacular from day 1. It was close to shopping, many options to eat, and lots to do.

I just stayed here for a conference in the Crown Center and enjoyed the stay. The hotel is older for sure but appears to be pretty well maintained. It could use some updating for sure but they have done well with the hotel despite its age. The rooms were pretty nice and well appointed. The service at the hotel was top notch. The front desk was very pleasant and super helpful. The layout of the lobby, mezzanine, and executive levels could use some improvement because it can be tedious to navigate between the levels via the stairs and escalators. The access to/from the hotel to the conference area could be improved and access to/from the outside on the conference side would be really nice. A big positive was the Link access to several of the surrounding buildings. This air conditioned walkway was really handy once I found out about it. The staff should let folks know it’s there at check in (don’t get me wrong though the staff was great). Overall I think this is a nice hotel and I would have given it a higher rating if not for the age showing a bit and the layout of the first three floors.

Remember to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This website will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure! I had a very nice experience here. Room was very nice, had a great view of downtown KC and service was good. Located close to Crown Center. Hard for me to not think of the 100+ people who died in the lobby back in 1981 (when it was a Hyatt), but still a very nice property.

We were able to get a good view so that is nice but the beds are supposed to be queen beds yet are doubles. Also the room smells musty and there is a leak in the bathroom ceiling. For as much as this stay costs I would not have expected this. The staff wasn't very helpful either.

Great hotel. Problems with maintenance of the equipment in the gym. Cable machine is missing all attachments but 1. (Another handle seems to have been provided by the hotel but it does not work with the equipment due to the proprietary nature of the machine) Also is missing hardware and has broken plastic wheel. Causing the cable to become jammed. 1 or 2 adjustable benches is missing hardware causing the seat to be uneven and loose. Handles on lat pull-down machine are ripped off and sticky from adhesive. These are wearable, replaceable parts. Do something about it. Mechanical things require maintenance guys. I will increase to 5 star review if these issues are addressed.

Rooms were clean. Refrigerator didn't cool great and neither did the a/c in the room, but it was tolerable. Rest of the hotel, hallways, and conference rooms were conditioned well. Conference rooms were very nice, including audio and video. The hotel catered breakfast buffet was good, but the lunches were lacking. They also seemed to pay no mind to potential allergies as many things had nuts with no warnings. Overall a good experience for a large business trip.

Of the hundreds of hotels I’ve stayed in, the Sheraton at Crown Center is by far one of the best. Customer service is off the charts. (No one asked me to write this, it has just been so wonderful I was inspired to write!) Everyone is smiling and happy to be working there. Restaurant is great. Gym is huge and equipped. They made it easy to extend my stay, offered late checkout, and honored all my other diva requests with a smile. I look forward to my stays here for months in advance!

Southern hospitality at its peak. The rooms are big, clean and great. Their staff is incredible. The lobby is a spectacular dazzling display or modernness and elegance with good music. I am a plant daddy myself and I loved how there were some cute plants in the lobby. On a scale of 1-10, I will give them a good 9. I stayed on the 39th floor and loved the view of the city from up there. Again, keep up the good work guys. Thank you to the late night/early morning receptionist girl who was kind enough to get me a free bottle of water. Small things like these make you guys put a smile on our face. Sincerely Thank you for that.

Short walk via indoor link to both Crowne Center as well as Union Station. Everything is kept clean & updated & staff is always helpful no matter what your question is. My recent trip, I needed to page a friend who's room number I didn't know & they weren't answering their cell. They were happy to assist me & quickly connected me to them so I could let him know the info I needed to pass on. Even housekeeping was extremely helpful when we needed some firmer pillows & the ac wasn't working well. Maintenance was quick to assess & fix the issue & get things running cold again.

The hotel is in a great location. Rooms are clean with a great view of the city. The beds were comfortable. Very nice exercise room. The toilet in our room needed constant attention to make sure it quit running. The TV may have been the smallest in a 'nice' hotel that I have ever seen. Overall a good experience.

The rooms are clean and beautiful, the pool is well maintained & is SALT WATER! The view is amazing! This is luxury at its finest and the whole team went above and beyond for us and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you Ella, Kiera, Shane, & John for all of your hard work and phenomenal hospitality! The Sheraton at Crown Center is our FAVORITE hotel in Kansas City & THE BEST!

We are here every year for the Villain Arts Tattoo Festival and I have not been disappointed in 8 straight years! The area is clean, rooms are comfortable and they meet all of your needs. I can't say enough good things about the staff, each and everyone of them. The concession workers for food and the bartenders for our show were and are always polite, friendly and just awesome workers. I would recommend staying here for one night or a week every year like us.

Nice rooms. Staff was nice but does not know how to handle an issue. Room was nice after I put it back together. Obviously cleaned but disconcerting to walk in after a 15 hour day to have to close all drawers, move couch, move curtains. When I brought it up to front desk, assumed I’d at least get an apology and maybe some token Marriott points. Instead I got a “ oh they must have just cleaned it”. No apology. I was offered another room. I’m already tired. The last thing I want to do is move rooms after putting my room back together.

Very nice hotel. The staff was excellent and attentive. We met with our group at the hotel bar. Great place! The bartenders were friendly and funny. The hotel is very close to a lot of shopping and places to eat within walking distance. The only negative is that the hotel is a bit dated.

For all those weary travelers tired of overpriced accommodations, I highly recommend giving HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm a shot. Their price comparison tool is a game-changer, and this spectacular room rate is just one example. Everything was great at the hotel. The room was clean the beds were very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The only criticism I have is that I think that the restaurant on the mezzanine is way too expensive. But you do have a captive because there's just really no other place to go there in the hotel.

Stayed here many times. They should plan for any conference since they know when guests arrive to check in prior to beginning of conference registration. Parking is a pain for me, but compared to other places where people are used to parking garages it's not that bad. Service was good, except the in house bar - spectators, again, couldn't serve people in a timely fashion. Facilities are nice and plenty of options for any size needed. A little bit of a walk from power and light, but not terrible.

Location Pros: (1) The Sheraton is at one end of the Link, an enclosed walkway which goes to the mall at Crown Plaza and Union Station. (2) outstanding views. (3) the hotel interior is grand and beautiful. Grand rooms for conferences. A sky lounge on the 48th floor. Cons: (1) There's not much immediately around here. (2) not much for free parking and its $25 a day to park i e the garage even with the hotel key. (3) there's a starbucks in the lobby, kinda cool, except that meant no free coffee, only premium priced. Service: Its here we ran into multiple problems. 1. Our key to our room didn't work. The batteries in the door lock had to be replaced. After security let me in, I had to wait there for about 45 minutes for them to return with maintenance and to replace the batteries. 2. The room temperature was set to 87 degrees. It was November. Took a bit to cool down the room to sleep comfortably. 3. The mini fridge was open and buzzing away, likely for weeks/months until i closed it. I had stuff to load in it too :( 4. The two Half and Half creamers included with the coffee were over a month expired. This was an upgraded room. I believe it had been the better part of 2-3 months since someone stayed it that room given the things above taken together. 5. Linens for the fold out bed were limited to a fitted sheet and a pillow. Had to request more, twice, and they didn't bring what we requested. Room The room itself was nice, a corner suite on the 20th floor. Great view, comfy bed, roomy and didn't break the bank. Had they taken the time to freshen up and give the room a once over after being dormant for weeks/months, our intial experience would have be less nightmare-ish. Might stay again.

Rude man at front door yelling car. Told front desk. Nothing really done about this man. Was offered free breakfast tickets. Went to breakfast next morning, service was horrible, and we were charged $15 per person. Elevator kept breaking down, and the water was luke warm in the shower. We have stayed in this hotel every year for a conference, and you can tell the standards for this hotel has gone down. Disappointing!

This was a great physical venue for the convention I attended. Lots of great meeting space. Also the location downtown was a plus. I did find the service in their dining area exceedingly slow due to reduced staffing. Not acceptable for a convention of over 500 participants.

This hotel was clean, but it really needs full electrical and plumbing upgrades. Our thermostat was almost unusable. In order to change the temp, we had to fiddle around with it for multiple minutes each time until it would finally change. The water pressure in the shower was very low, and it’s soft water, so you don’t feel clean when you come out of it. Also, very surprisingly for a 4 star hotel, there was no mini fridge in our room. It was fine and centrally located, but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.
