The people who run the front facing side of this hotel deserve a raise. They made the pictures on Google look absolutely stunning. After driving over 16 hours, I was so excited to see the oasis that had been painted for me online. My boyfriend and I ended up passing by it initially because I couldn't believe that the dilapidated building with *no name on it* was the hotel I saw online. The inside looks like it's a run down hospital from the 80s that happens to have an indoor pool. The bed is about as hard as a cardboard box with a sheet over it. The bathroom amenities/towels are quite literally as cheap as they can be before just not existing. I'm thankful that my room isn't as abhorrent as the other reviews said, but why is that the only praise I can think of? The owners of this hotel need to just read their customer reviews. You've had reviews saying there are stains everywhere, broken furniture, terrible amenities, etc for YEARS. Your parking lot is full right now. There's NO way you don't have the money to renovate rooms/the building. Unless, as with most things like this, the higher ups are just pocketing the money and going on another million dollar vacation. I wanted to come here and relax after a long journey, not feel totally duped and infuriated by refined and flashy pictures on Google. Be what you pedal online and this place would be fine. This is NOT how you run an honest business.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The place is very run down. There are water stains on the wall from the roof leaking. Buckets everywhere from leaks. The room smelled like mold and mildew and the bathroom was dirty. The indoor pool was by the front desk and all open for all to see. The staff was barely courteous enough to check customers in. Do not waste you time or money staying here.

The beds were fairly comfortable and the rooms were quiet. But it was apparent that the cleaning staff do the bare minimum. We lifted up the fitted sheet to inspect the mattress like we do at every hotel and there was crumbs, dirt, mystery stains and what looked like some blood spots. It wasn't a bad stay for the price but it definitely could have been cleaner.

I will never in my life stay at this hotel or recommend this hotel to anyone. For a Best Western Affiliate, I expected more. I have never had such a bad hotel experience to go right a review but here ya go. First, I was given false information after verifying twice that I can do early check-in anytime after midnight for and additional $30/$35. No problem. We get there after driving for nearly 5 hours at about 1:30am to be told that early check-in is at 3:00am. It would be $90 to check-in now. Having to kids in the car we had no choice and to try and hash it out with a manager in the morning. Secondly, we were given a room on the backside of the hotel, the entire hallway smelled like cigarettes as well as the room. The moment you walk in the hotel room it feels gross and dingy. There are stains on the walls. Hair in the bathtub. The sink was not well cleaned. The toilet still had hair and pee stains on it. Stains are on the sheets and curtains. There is dog hair and slobber all over the chair. You can tell a cigarette was put out on the bed sheet. The sheets were stained as well as the pillows. You could find hair underneath the sheets. Still a brown/tan color for not being thoroughly washed. It looked to be dried boogers or snot on one of the headboards. The outside of the microwave and TV were smeared and gross. Nothing seemed wiped down at all. The telephone was not cleaned or wiped down. The patchwork behind the door was unprofessionally done. I asked for a new room and to be able to inspect it first, I returned the key. That room was just as gross. The next morning I talked to management and they offered a third room, upon inspection, I returned that key too. I asked how old the building was and was told it was built in the 1970's. It sure looked like it was still in the 70's. The only thing that attracted us to that hotel was the lobby area and the pool like great. We returned our keys and asked for a refund after I found another hotel nearby. Still was charged $77 for the stay considering how gross it was and we did not feel comfortable sleeping in the room. We never would had driven late at night to get there as early as we did under the false information about early check-in to begin with. I will be calling corporate. This was completely unacceptable. For the price we would had paid to stay there nightly, my money would had been better spent on a cheap motel nearby truthfully. Before you give me some generic response with an apology about our stay and experience, don't waste your time. There is no pride in that place. Take the time to update each room from top to bottom and get rid of the smell of cigarettes. Make sure your keepers are doing a better job at thoroughly cleaning the rooms. For anyone who wants to know, we stayed at Aloft near by. MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better experience and they helped us out immediately and did not charge us early check-in considering what we just dealt with. If I could give a 0 rating for this hotel, I would.

We just spent a week here for baseball. They act like they want to be helpful but manipulate and make false promises. They overcharged after saying they would not, am filing a complaint with health dept in regards to unsanitary conditions from blood they would not clean up but instead told me if it bothered me I could myself or wait til morning, smoking and sweating in food as they served it to the kids (then the milk was soured) filthy rooms we had to purchase cleaning items and clean ourselves, 2 of the 9 rooms had to be switched due to non working air, mold and dirty bedding. ATM stole money we were told would be given back but a day later we were told to file a complaint and given a number that is non working, stained towels and the list goes on and on. We had to stay there as the other options for ball were completely booked and when we tried to address we were told to come back later or call back then told it was to Late we should of while we were there. The overnight guy was more interested in his phone than helping. Our vehicle had items stolen out of the back. Just please DO NOT stay here if you have children. Also the hot tub they advertise as having is non existent. Luckily I have pictures of everything including the man smoking while he was serving our children to justify my reaction. They will say anything and tell you they will Call you back but it never happens. Just a generic we care and are sorry on here to try to look better than they are.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a kids USSSA baseball tournament. The wonderful gal who books blocks of rooms for the hotels struggled to get a block of rooms reserved and they wanted to charge us over $150 a night per room! We ended up paying $129. I’m thankful it was lower, but still feels like robbery. The gal who checked us in on the Friday evening was very kind and accommodating. The first key we were given was to a room which appeared to be already occupied. The door was open part way and the TV was on. The front desk gal was apologetic and quickly provided us another room. The second room had a slightly musty smell, but we decided to ignore it and get some sleep. After all four of us showered the smell in the room worsened and by the evening on the second day it was unbearable. There was also a soft spot under the tub by the drain. It’s obvious there is a leak, which has been leaking for a while. We talked with the front desk they quickly provided us with an identical room on another floor. Unfortunately, there seems to be a trend and this room had wet carpet starting under the sink and went halfway to the beds. The mirror was hazy and smeared like someone had cleaned it with furniture dusting polish. There was a used bar of soap in the shower. Bedding on the pullout couch had not been changed. When we pulled back the covers on one of the beds there were short black hairs all over the sheet. It was like my black Labrador had slept there! After talking with the manager, Isaac, he agreed the accommodations were unacceptable and refunded our stay completely.

If you are a very picky person this is not the place for you. The staff were all friendly but the room was not super clean. The air barely worked and sounded like an engine was on the entire time we were there. Pool area was pretty but water pretty cloudy. We still had a great time but we’re easy going. Beds were comfy and food nearby.

Great amenities, very clean, friendly staff, and the price was pretty good. The free breakfast was hot and tasty. The bartender at happy hour was awesome! The indoor pool was nice, but the ac made it a little too cold at times. The whole place is very handicap friendly. ♿. I would definitely stay here again.

This is not the first time I have stayed at this property by Wyndham. They haven't been perfect but they have been above others when it came to the room, cleanliness and overall amenities and extras. For this visit there there elevator was not working so I had to be on the first floor. I'm usually like to be on higher floors if there is an elevator available. Being on the first floor I'm sure is why they have laminate flooring in the bedroom and not carpet. The breakfast is always good and it was a Sunday that we checked out I just wish breakfast a little bit longer with it being Sunday. And with it Sunday running late I requested a late check out and was given a complimentary till noon checking out time. That made up for the elevator having been out and having been to stay on the first floor. I can't walk upstairs so elevator is crucial to where I stay.

People complain about things way to much. Its a hotel. Not your damn house. Things are bound to not be perfect. That being said The bed is comfy No bugs in the room I got checked in quick. Room was nice. Shower was good. Yes its a little run down but it was a decent stay.

Started out by waiting in the lobby for an hour and fifteen minutes to check in. Once I got to the counter, it went rather quick. The room turned out to be pretty good. Plenty of room for myself and my 2 boys. Pool was open and indoor. Stayed for 3 nights at a reasonable price. On the last day, I was at work and someone told my boys they had to leave the room and sit near the front desk. Then told them they would have to move rooms without even contacting me. When my boys had called they explained they wanted to replace something with the ac but they could wait till I arrived before moving rooms. I never complained about the ac or mentioned any problems as I never noticed any, so there was no reason for them to have us move rooms especially when I was not even at the hotel. Very disappointed with the service over both issues I encountered.

The room they put us in was #181 & it was on the 1st floor back at the end of the hallway by the stairs, it was offset, like back a little bit from the rest of the rooms on the entire hallway, which made it seem kinda like you were walking into a dungeon almost, plus since it was right by the metal doors and metal stairs every time anyone went in or out of the stairs it sounded like they were coming in our room door and kept us awake most of the night. When i reserved the room it was supposed to have a king bed and a sofa.. the bed was not a king and instead of a sofa it was an old style chair which didn't match any of the rest of the room as it was a horrible burnt orange color, plus the cushion on it was ripped and the stuffing was falling out. There was no regular blanket on the bed just 2 really thick sheets and like a thin little throw type blanket.. that was thin to start but was so old and warn it was really thin. Curtains were nasty looking looking like they had not been washed in months, and they were half falling down. Fridge barely kept anything cool. And the bathroom had cracked and peeling paint on the walls and ceiling. It all looked like it was straight outta sum trashy ghetto somewhere! And we were awake at 830 am and their so called free breakfast was no where in sight. And vending machines were way more than outrageously priced! Staff was not really friendly but they weren't rude either they just worked did what they had to frowned their way thru it all. Check in was fast tho.

The lobby is the only nice thing about that hotel. Rooms are nasty. Just look at all the pictures. Went down stairs to ask for blankets for the pull-out couch and was told they don't have pull-out couch in the rooms. I went up stairs to my room and took a picture to show them and they said o. So then asked again for sheets and said they did not have any clean ones. Broken chairs in the room as well. Woke up this morning and thought let me look at the fire alarm in my room. Smoke ararm and carbon monoxide alarm was unplug!!! Good thing nothing happened that night. Only reason we stated there was cause of world of fun was right there. Next time we will go to another hotel.

We booked because of the indoor pool but it was being redone while we were there so that was a bummer but it was fine. The breakfast in the morning was okay, the tater tots were fire. If we’re in the area again, we’d probably stay there again as long as the pool is open. Perfect if you’re passing through and there’s a QT across the street if you decide you need a midnight snack

We live in KC and one of our family members got Covid-19, so we checked in and kept extending our stay. The front desk was very accommodating, even let us keep our same room. The bar/cafe in the lobby was a great place to relax and get a bite to eat. Bridget remembered what I was drinking and always had a smile on her face. The street tacos were excellent. I will probably come back to hang out at the bar after I go home. The people are very friendly and meet some new people. I’ll be back!

****Not the Hilton but doable! I wish the bar and pool table was operable but overall a clean relaxing environment. Will stay again. Great price for short vaca to Kansas City 💙🙏🏽

This place is awful. My sister and I both booked rooms here for a night. Her room was in worse shape than ours. Upon arriving it seemed decent enough for the price. Once we got in our room however there was stains on the sheets and the walls were “patched” and spray painted over. Her room had no hot water and the spout in the bath tub hanging off the wall. We decided it was just one night and after making a long trip we really didn’t have it in us to try and find a different place to stay. We inspected thoroughly for bugs and didn’t find any so I guess that’s the only plus we can say. We got woke up by the guests across from us yelling and screaming with their door open and about 20 people in their room. We checked out and went on about our day, then realized about 4 hours later there was an extra $100 charge on my card. Called the hotel to find out why and they stated we ruined their pre-stained sheets. I told them I didn’t ruin their sheets they were in the same shape as when we arrived and I would like to speak with the manager who filed the report to which I was told there was no manager on duty but they could take my number and have one call me back eventually. When I proceeded ask to speak to a manager on duty they proceeded to tell me there was no manager on duty which I find very hard to believe. She also then proceeded to hang up on me and when I tried to call back no one would answer the phone. After speaking with customer care the most they could do for me is forward my request on to the general manager for a call back.

This is by far the best place to stay in this area. The hotel is huge and spacious with an awesome indoor pool and the rooms are really nice. Maria at the front desk is definitely my favorite. She is always helpful when I come to the front to pay for my room and she always has such a good attitude and friendly demeanor. The rest of the staff is very friendly too and L, the night security guard is very friendly and helpful and keeps watch out for any suspicious activity in the parking lot. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

There's a reason why this hotel is the cheapest in the area. I really can't believe Wyndham has lent its name to the property, and it does not reflect well upon the brand. My car was burglarized. There was a 10 minute "gap" in the camera footage when it was broken into. Police did not respond and only said to fill out the online report. They said it is a common occurrence there. I'm traveling across the country with all my possessions and 2/3 of what little I had is now gone. Do not recommend!

The lights in the hall of the room and bathroom only worked for the 1st few hours during the stay. Didn't get fixed till a few minutes before I left. Not a bad place. Not a great place. Breakfast was okay. Coffee was horrible. Beds were clean and soft so that's all that really matters. Thanks guys and gals.

It's a rather isolated location at Least in the Off Season of the Worlds of Fun Theme park nearby...Rooms are quite nice and clean. Most of the Staff are very courteous however their English seems quite Limited. Am not 100 % sure of their Nationality...but probably Indian. Room cleaning service is Very Visible and Attentive. The Food at the Breakfast bar which included Hot selections was satisfying but nothing Special. Was a little put off that they take it down at 9am instead of 10 or 11am like Many places do. It's convenient on foot to 4 or 5 clean and well maintained friendly fast food places and an upscale Convenient store but not much Else. Some especially families with small children might find the lobby 'dated' looking if not on the dark and dreary side. But it Didn't bother ME personally. There is also a small fitness center and an INdoor pool....room temperature not Heated. For the Money it's an Excellent Choice.

No hot tub. Room dirty outlets not working. elevator not working. Nobody told us we had all our stuff loaded on a cart ready to go to the room. Asked them to look at outlets never did. Asked for one extra pillow never got that. Also breakfast ends at 9:00 on a weekend or maybe 8:30 as my kids went down and had to have cereal as they were cleaning up already. Over all not recommended

  • 1/5 Shawn O. 10 months ago on Google
Staff is rude. They don't clean up the room. Had to take my own towels out. Swept the floors myself. The sheets were already dirty and had cigarette burns in them. The breakfast was always the same and old as if it was constantly reheated. They didn't have their pool open. Their bar was closed down. Definitely won't be back was an overall bad experience.

I come here 3 days a week I'm an over the road driver for ABF Freight. The rooms are clean and fresh the beds are very comfortable with good sheets. The staff especially the front desk are amazing. Maria is exceptional and really professional.

The front desk people were really nice but it was a gross hotel lots of damage on the inside and lots of trash outside of the building. The room was okay no bed bugs but plenty of bugs from the water damage on the ceiling the AC didn’t work it was stuck at 74 and the window was stuck shut we could only get it open a crack. The elevator was out of service as well but the stairs weren’t bad. Will not be coming back to this hotel though. There was a ton of kids having fun so I guess kid friendly.

Checking in Was fine, however entering my first room and the smell was awful. It smelt like an ashtray badly and the mirror was extremely dirty. Staff moved us to another room and that heater was broken. We had the heat on 90 and was still freezing. Also there is not Hot Tub, so false advertising. I will not ever be staying here again. It’s sad cause the hotel itself has the potential. Breakfast also just ok. The biscuits were hard as a rock! This was not the evening getaway I had planned. One star because there were nice.

This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Let me start by saying that the staff was nice and helpful, but they clearly have no incentive to go above and beyond for guests and no motivation to keep the facility clean or comfortable. The couch in our room had a giant stain on it from who knows what kind of bodily fluid. The ceiling tiles had stains from water damage. There were missing ceiling tiles in the bathroom. The curtains had multiple holes from cigarette burns. I could go on and on about how dirty this hotel is and how unkept it is, but to top off our experience, everything was stolen out of our vehicle in the middle of the night. Apparently theft is not an abnormal occurrence at this hotel. A car in the parking lot actually had the window busted out from a burglary a week prior. If you value comfort and safety over a few extra dollars, I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Gross gross gross!! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! If our booking would have been refundable, we would have left immediately! I wish I could add pictures! Best western needs to come and re-evaluate this place, because it is horrible. Our rooms were disgustingly DIRTY, MOLDY, DUSTY, AND TORN. Everything is stained, including the "clean" bedding which had a few questionable spots. This place needs 3 super deep cleans, and I'm still not sure if it would suffice. The lobby and pool areas are the only nice things. Also, the pictures LIE, there is no hot tub!

  • 1/5 Shantel D. 1 year ago on Google
Awful! The men at the front desk were absolutely horrible. The rooms were disgusting. We had to move because the roof was caving in and leaking. (301) The next room we moved to, had brown cracks in the ceiling. (307) Lobby was leaking lots of water. The “chair” in the room, had stains from Lord knows what all over it. My son had an accident and fell off the bed, he was transported by EMS to the children’s hospital. The front desk people were mad and complaining that they didn’t want an ambulance/fire truck at their location. How RUDE! We tried to swim in the pool but one of the front desk men, came out from behind the desk and went into the pool area by us and stood there and watched us the ENTIRE time while we in the pool. We didn’t stay long. The rooms had yellow residue all over the walls and looked like they was dripping some kind of yellow liquid. Beds had blood stains on them. On the 3rd floor, there’s brown liquid stains all over the wall in the corner. Elevator needed cleaned. There was crusty stuff all over inside. I would NOT recommend. Forgot to add : we had roaches coming out of the drain in the bathtub.

There were several buckets around the hotel catching roof leaks. There was a mildew smell in the lobby and our room smelled like smoke. The bed appeared to be clean. There was a leak in our rooms roof & I attached pictures of where it was leaking. The staff was friendly but I don’t know that I would stay here again. Bar and arcade were advertised, but the bar was closed and half the arcade games didn’t work with a sign that read they aren’t responsible for money lost in arcade machines. I don’t think the rooms are cleaned super well between customers because our mirror had toothpaste splatters all over it & finger prints all over our window. The location was nice, right off the highway and has a Taco Bell and Waffle House in the parking lot. Gas station is walking distance as well.

Advertises a shuttle service for WoF. We solely stayed at this hotel BECAUSE of said shuttle service. We asked and checked and were told that this service, again provided by Hotel would be able to pick us up at night after our WoF stay. Driver not only never showed up, he did not contact us with any details. We had to call and got told "Line was too long so I just left." Did not call to inform us that he did this, did not try to be helpful in anyform. Nothing. It took us calling the front desk and thankfully someone came and got us with their personal car that was not the shuttle driver. And when we complained about this event to the front desk, we got laughed at. Complete and utterly disrespectful. I will not only not be staying here again, but I will recommend every person I know to not stay here out of how purely disrespectful the staff and driver handled this situation, spare the one person who actually stepped up to help us. All because you advertise a service that you did not even fall through on.

Room 317 was horrible! It sounded like the people in the room next to us were in our room and it wasn’t because they were being loud. There was a crack where the wall meet the ceiling all the way across the room that was big enough to let light through which I’m sure was a big part of the reason it was so loud. Their phone alarm went off and it literally sounded like it was on my night stand! The overall cleanliness of the room wasn’t that great either, mildew in the bathroom, etc…..

Negatives: the property is bring aquired by Wingate by Wyndam. It is obviously in a transition period. Lots of mess from rebranding. Rooms haven't been fully updated yet. My room had a gap in the window which whistled when the wind blew. The electrical outlet in the bathroom wasnt functional. Elevator on my side of the building was not working so stairs were the only option. Positives: beds were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Bar on property across from the pool, and gave plastic cups if you were going back to the pool. Cheapest option in the area. Good access to interstate system.

We traveled often. This hotel is awful. One of the worst we have stayed in. The lady at the front desk when we checked in has really been the ONLY good thing. The room smells like cat pee. When we complained the guy at the front desk said he would note that. No offer to move our room or try to clean the smell. Our toilet leaks water on the floor. Gross! And they have construction going on so started banging at 8 am this morning! Breakfast was dried out and awful too. And because we booked our 4 nights through bookings, we are stuck here. They won't refund us for unstayed nights.

I bet this hotel was really cool about 20 years ago but it really needs some up-keep. It was filthy, there were stains and dirt and grime everywhere, on thre room, and in the lobby. There was sheetrock dust behind the door to the bathroom. The ceiling vent had its own ecosystem and was in serious need of a mow. The reading lamps were dangling by the wires, the tub wasn't clean. Ugh. I'll not go back there.

This hotel is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at I would have expected way better from best western. Our son cut his foot in the bottom of the pool cause it was chipped and broke, in the room the shower had black mold all over it including the shower curtain, the ceiling was peeling the towels were black when they were supposed to be white and in the hallway across from our room looked like a homeless person was staying there pillows and garbage empty food containers. We went to breakfast and could eat either because the food was molded. DON’T STAY HERE!!! Cockroaches as well!!!!

Locations is great, love the swimming pool on the inside, if only this place had a hot tub as well, didn't like having to pay extra money for breakfast. Pets allowed, bed were really comfortable, food options very close to location. Would definitely stay here again
