I love how environmentally conscious they are! I received a take-home glass jar with a koozie ($1 extra on top of the order), but if you bring it back you pretty much get the the dollar back. I ordered the Dark Choco Mocha and loved it! Bittersweet chocolate that meddled nicely with the whole milk and had an overlapping coffee aroma. I loved the girl who took my order! So personable and sweet! Her outfit was FIRE. I'm definitely making this my study place when I have the chance to come back.

This is a pretty lovable place. They were very popular when I popped in on a Sunday morning. It's pretty spacious indoor and outdoor, and an attractive, cozy atmosphere. WiFi is good, so you can definitely come and work. I've had a latte (with oat milk) and dark chocolate mocha (with macadamia milk) and both were excellent. You can tell they have skillful batistas that take their time, and the staff all-around seems cool. They also serve biscuit sandwiches and vegan pastries. You get a cool koozie and glass jar if you order to-go, and they're reusable if you come back. Nothing but good things to say about Oddly Correct!

Very cool atmosphere for a coffee place. Coffee came in little jars with lids and a koozie. The mocha latte was great along with the cold brew. If your in Kansas City and love coffee then this is the spot for you.

This was our first and last stop of our trip. We're coffee fanatics and saw Oddly was recommended a lot, and we were impressed. I have to say the London fog is 10/10. Build your own biscuit with pimento is DELICIOUS. We came back right before the airport to get a last round of coffee. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

2nd time here, and this is my go-to coffee shop for the 3rd District. If you live between the 35s and 47th this is a smooth walk for your morning groove. Menu needs diversifying but they have to see what the market demand is. Love the vibe and Java.

My daughter and I enjoy exploring new coffee shops and this little hipster place was a first time visit for us while her and my son in law were in town . Service was great . I asked for a recommendation, and was suggested a Sage Carmel latte. I devoured it far too fast and have been craving another since our trip. The environment is a neat artful place with lots of seating. We really enjoyed our trip and we will definitely be back. I can not believe it has taken me so long to discover this KC gem

Hands down the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted. Highly recommend the Vanilla Bourbon. It is a coffee flavor that is bold and unexpected but tastes delicious. The sustainable business model is also very appealing and your coffee is served in a glass jar that you bring back to swap out with a clean one when you go back to get your next cup of coffee! This is a must if you are a coffee lover and are in Kansas City!

Love the vibe here! Don’t let the neighborhood scare you-this place is a gem and worth going to ❤️ A little on the pricey side but I felt like it was worth every penny. They are also doing their part to be environmentally conscious. Your beverages are served in a jar with a lid and cute koozie. If you bring it with to your next visit, they take it and give you a new one and sterilize the one you bought in. You also get a considerable discount. Staff was friendly. Lots of unique merchandise for sale. Definitely recommend.

I was recommended this place by a number of friends, and while I was in the neighborhood i finally decided to stop by. I walked in and the baristas were not busy at all (not complaining about this however its part of the story). I walk in just wanting a small drip coffee, and the barista asks me if I placed an order online. i said no, just wanted a drip coffee to go and that was it! She said in order for me to place my order, I had to go to their website and order there. She then gave me a QR code to go to their site, and I had to put my coffee in the cart and pay for it all through their site. This was incredibly annoying to me, as my request was very simple and the baristas had very little going on. I was so frustrated that I walked out. I was shocked by the lack of self awareness for whoever came up with the online ordering only. If its because of COVID, then why have your doors open at all? Me ordering in person and leaving will be the same amount of contact as me ordering online, walking in and grabbing my order. They couldnt just make the order for me? I was literally willing to give my money! Can you please offer online ordering AND in person ordering? Im not asking for much here. Every single coffee shop in KC has both options, so both types of customers can be satisfied. Why are you forcing people to go one route when it takes alot longer and dissuades people? What if you dont have your phone on you? What if your phone dies? Cant order then. The rigidity blows my mind, and I wish the owner would realize that they are losing quite a bit of business by having such strict and unnecessary processes.

A staple of the Kansas City coffee community. Oddly Correct is such a strong leader to the specialty coffee industry and they forge so much of what happens at your favorite third-wave shop. The past few years have showcased a few key strengths of Oddly: concerting their efforts in sustainability, adding variety to their menu, tapping into important issues locally and globally, handling the pandemic safely, and bridging the gap between the casual enthusiast and the craft behind the coffee. Perhaps the most important is their ability to literally put their money where their mouth is with their employees, putting pressure on other shops to treat their employees fairly in an industry that hasn’t historically prioritized it. We love you, Oddly. Excited to see all the ways you’ll continue to improve and evolve.

This place is nice and worth the visit. The coffee is good and the crew working there is very nice. Although the biscuits are pretty good, it is the only salted option in their menu for breakfast and that is the only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5, but other than that, this is and ideal place for a relaxed moment with a nice cup of coffee.

Amazing!! I got a flat white (comes as 8 oz) and it was deliciously smooth. I also ordered a biscuit with jam and an egg on the side. The biscuit was tender and the egg was real (meaning it definitely seemed like they cracked an egg instead of pouring it out of a container). The atmosphere and service was great as well. Love that they try and minimize waste!!!

Went to check out the new location today. The building and parking layout is a bit odd and hard to get into, but I definitely like that they have dine-in seating now. The coffee here has always been excellent and this time was no exception. However, their coffee beverages in store are quite expensive for what they give you, which is usually served in a tiny, branded glass jar. This time I ordered a cappuccino however once I opened it I was disappointed to realize it was not a cappuccino but a latte, and the jar was only half full!! I would assume they were in a hurry and the top half was full of foam so they couldn't tell how full it was before they put the lid on. So essentially I paid $3.50 for two ounces of something I didn't even want. Not great. I like their beans so I will likely be back, however I'm going to think twice before ordering an over-priced beverage in-store again.

Bourbon vanilla latte is great, we stayed in the neighborhood for work and stopped by here daily for coffee and biscuit sandwiches. If you like iced coffee you can't go wrong with the bourbon vanilla latte. Very chill place and seating out front to enjoy your latte and breakfast. The jar is a nice little touch and you can trade in your jar to refill instead of wasteful paper cups.

  • 5/5 Deafening S. 2 years ago on Google
Would recommend the bourbon vanilla latte, it's not bourbon forwards so much as has notes of oak and a vanilla smoothness but is first and foremost a latte, very tasty!

I hesitated to visit Oddly Correct. We look for different places to ride our bicycles and I wondered if 22 miles was going to be too long this early in the season. I also was a little confused $1 deposit. (Confused because I'd not seen such a thing in a long time. In hindsight, their website messaging was pretty clear.) Oh my, did it work out splendidly! "Fear not black coffee" is right. My husband usually takes cream with two sugars and I completely forgot. I brought the pour over Tanzania Songwe Peaberry, black, back to the outdoor table; he sipped and exclaimed, "This is great!". He continued to rave about how good it was so I told him that the people after me purchased coffees and beans, spending $42. The frugal man that he is said "It is really good coffee". We were able to get the jars back inside before closing time and likely will ride the 11 miles to get there again.

If you love coffee, look no further, there's nothing that comes even close to this place. It is THE BEST coffee around. Next best coffee is probably somewhere they grow the beans, so if you don't want to go that far just go here. Simply amazing, everything from the staff to the shop to coffee down to the service. Always friendly!!

The best pour over in Kansas City. It's worth the drive from anywhere in the metro area. You can also order their beans online freshly roasted and pickup on Fridays or have shipped to your home. Always a friendly staff, I loveI the vibe. The barristas look like all enjoy working there. I also like that they open the garage doors weather permitting, it makes the shop feel so much bigger.

Delicious espresso! Very talented baristas! Atmosphere is calm filled with chatter. This place is definitely the spot for the eccentric! Seemed like everyone new one another. Customer service was nice! Didn’t feel like i fit in though even though i was just there to get coffee…. Gonna give it another try

Nice little coffee shop that offers a more fancy type of coffee. I don't know much about coffee outside of iced coffee drinks I get every once in a while. The staff was awesome and helped me pick out a drink which ended up being a cold brew. Coffee was delicious and it came with a to-go glass (glass deposit) and koozie. I like the push for reuse/less waste with the glass. The space had indoor and outdoor dining. If I lived here, I would come here often.

Wandered into Oddly after a recommendation from a friend for an eco chic cafe - and this cafe definitely provided the beautiful enviro vibes 🌿 we were seeking! Ordered two lattes (one with macademia milk) and two biscuits (egg + one with egg, bacon, and cheese curd - was awesome). Barista service was kind, knowledgeable, and careful. To the left, a lush corner of cute plants for a “plant pop up” - some darling little cuttings in glass beakers or larger house plants perfect for a house warming gift or a little earthy pick me up. Wait was quick and service was brought out to the outdoor seating. There are plenty of cozy seating options inside, featuring local art and lithographic prints throughout, but the outdoor seating faces the sunshine, so we opted for outside! The building is black with a white mural encircling the edge, quirky and fun art to make for a very trendy coffee shop. The lattes were pretty good (cool that the beans are roasted and packaged in house). The biscuits, though, which are homemade really elevated the whole experience. Great joint for breakfast for sure. The atmosphere feels pretty local and chill, lots of community meetings and would serve as a perfect date or work session spot.

We visit here every time from Chicago to KC. We enjoy the coffees and tea’s! I’m always coming home with 2 bags of different beans. If you visit or live in KC, I highly recommend stopping at Oddly! Thanks all for making my taste buds happy! 😋

Great coffee shop. Travellers be aware: to-go adds an extra $1.50 to drinks because they don't use plastic and paper cups like most places. Instead you get a jar, which is fine, and repeat visitors can reuse.

Ordered a coffee and biscuit online, got there 5 minutes early and was told that they aren’t selling biscuits. Totally fine, but they did have my number from the order so could’ve let me know earlier. Then my coffee was cold and had espresso grounds in it. I was excited to try this place from the other reviews so experience was a bummer!

Begging you not to bring your elitist coffee culture to Troost. The level of snobbery I was subjected to the one and only time I visited left me feeling genuinely bad about myself. The barista was so short with me and audibly sighed when I asked questions about the confusing menu. It made me question whether or not I was out of my depth being in a place like this, until I realized... you’re a coffee shop not an Ivy League school. The thought of you bringing this culture that seems to take pride in their pretentiousness to a community I love does not sit right with me. And miss me with your tone deaf talking points from your “statement” about the move. I’ve ready it and still am baffled as why you think your presence will he needed in the community. Potential customers, if you are still reading this do yourself a favor and go to equal minded cafe instead. They’re super chill and their coffee and chai tea are far superior!

My boyfriend and I LOVE Oddly Correct! He absolutely loves the pour overs and I am obsessed with their lattes. I love how there is no sugar and you are just strictly enjoying the taste of the coffee, incredible! The staff is so nice, welcoming and chill. As soon as I walk through the door, I love the vibe. ALSO - their breakfast sandwiches are AMAZING!! The biscuits are exquisite 👌🏻 seriously this is the best brealfast sandwich I've ever had, in my life. We also love the jars/cozies, really helps with the environment. We both highly recommend Oddly Correct! Favorite coffee shop EVER!

  • 4/5 Cortnie C. 3 years ago on Google
The lattes are on point. I had the bourbon and vanilla. Hubby had drip and enjoyed it. We wanted biscuits but they quit serving those at noon, and no way to sweeten the teas they serve. I get the simplicity, just some honey would have been nice. They serve the drinks is the most hip way I've EVER gotten my coffee. Glass jar and a sleeve. My latte was perfectly warm for over 2 hours. Would definitely recommend.

  • 5/5 Sasha W. 3 years ago on Google
I absolutely love Oddly, and how sustainability minded they are.. All of the staff are amazing and so is management. I love supporting a company that treats it's employees well. I also love that there are reusable jars in place of single use takeaway cups, and that alternative milk options are the same price as cow's milk. This is probably the most sustainable coffee shop I've ever been to. Plus they always have really great coffees to choose from.

OMG where have you been all my life. This is amazing coffee. They are served in glass jars with a drink sleeve to take home. It a tiny bit more then Starbucks but way better. Hands down THE best coffee in the country that I've had thus far. I just moved to the area and after 2 back to back 12 hour days driving cross country, this was the first place I stopped at. I visited Oddly Correct about 2 years ago during a roadtrip and it has been the measuring stick against which all other coffee has been measured. Looking forward to trying everything I can get my hands on.

I'm not from the Kansas City area but I do visit Kansas City often. I almost always make a trip to oddly when I'm in the area and I'm absolutely in love with their chai latte. I stock up on their coffee beans and every time I run out I get super excited about going back to get more. This shop is environmentally friendly, they don't upcharge if you want a dairy alternative, and the staff is so always kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a coffee spot. Don't forget to tip your baristas!
