One of my favorite BLTs in KC. Get the chips over the fries. I previously gave it four stars but after my last visit, two. I spoke at length with my server about my order and I was served an item I'm allergic to, anyway. I didn't realize it until it was too late and I had a reaction. It wasn't too busy, there's no reason for the lack of regard.

Stopped in because I heard the meatloaf was good.. And it was delicious. The mashed potatoes and green beans that came with it was good too. Tried the wings and they're good too. The atmosphere was cool, more like a bar setting. The service was good and the price of the beers were normal/average. They have $5 random can beer machine that's pretty cool too. My only complaint is that the meatloaf could be a couple dollars cheaper. I'd recommend it though if you can get past the sticker shock.

Favorite local dive! Always a great selection, friendly bartenders, and surprisingly great food. My go-to are the tofu egg rolls! The mystery beer machine is a KC treasure.

Fun little dive bar with a chilled atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They have a large beer selection and even a mystery beer vending machine. It’s a little dark inside. Decent spot for a relaxed drink or two.

The food is always great! I love coming to this place for food and cheap yard beers ¡ my favorite is the mystery beer machine! Definitely recommend coming any day of the week. Tues are best though or Sundays! The staff are always very friendly and the cooks make such great food! Never been disappointed <3

Charming place with great service. Excellent drinks, above average atmosphere, and a cozy bar. Haven't tried the food yet, but this bar is always a good time

An interesting spot! Stopped for dinner, and a beer. I was pleasantly surprised at the food quality and the overall experience. I will definitely be back.

5 stars for everything!!! I met a friend for lunch & the food was outstanding! Service was great, even though the bartender was left to take our orders & such. The atmosphere was fun, vibrant, comfortable & everyone was singing along with the great song choices they had playing. Totally ready to go back!!!!

Great little bar on 39th street. Great atmosphere, decent service unfortunately terrible food. I got the ‘smash burger’ once - a smash burger it was not, just two overcooked McDonalds style patties with unmelted cheese and yes - it’s true - one strip of actually uncooked bacon. I couldn’t eat it. They didn’t seem to mind. Tonight I got a pork tenderloin. It was not tenderized, just a big fatty chunk of pork dredged in Panko bread crumbs. It was served to me burned, so dry and almost black. I couldn’t eat it haha. They didn’t seem to mind one bit that I hadn’t touched my food. Weirdly enough the ‘cook’ stood at the bar watching me sign my credit card receipt in what I can only assume was her making sure I was leaving a tip with my uneaten food sitting right next to me haha. The bar is great and hopefully my beer will provide me enough calories to survive the night ;)

My absolute favorite dive bar in the world. I make sure to come here whenever I am in KC.

The food is surprisingly good for a dive bar! I always get the salad but the fish and chips and the roasted brussels sprouts are good too. Try a mystery beer if you are feeling adventurous!

Nice secluded outdoor dining area in the back. Great place to kick back. Good stop for bicyclers. Waitress did a wonderful job.

Don't let the dive bar vibe fool you about the food, it is top notch. Fun atmosphere if you like a classier dive bar. Fun options like a beer slot machine (random beer for cheap). Servers have always been really great here. Another go to for me. Side note, if you are gluten free don't come hungry. You will probably leave hungry too.

What a wonderful Mother's Day. The drinks were great, and the food was delicious. This is my families new favorite place!

I stopped here while passing through Kansas City because it looked similar to a place I used to frequent in my old city... WOW! I fell in love with the atmosphere, the bartenders were very active and attentive, and the food was SO GOOD! I got the Buffalo wings char grilled 🤤 with the house chips... even the carrots on the side were delicious 😋 and it was only $9! Honestly, the experience made me consider adding Kansas City to my list of places I may move to! Loud music, local beers on tap, lively guests, ample seating and a little streetside patio... if I can go somewhere like this, then it will definitely feel like home!

It's a solid bar with good selection and surprisingly good food. As the name implies it's "dive-y" but don't let that turn you away. Front covered patio is great and back beer-garden area are perfect for nice weather. Grab a mystery beer and try the "Jerk" sandwich!

Lovely dive bar. The food here is incredible. The meatloaf is phenomenal. Also the fish and chips. The girls working are always super cool too

My favorite place ever. Love hanging inside or on the patio with my mystery beer. The food is actually insanely good. Get the wings!

Food is excellent and the atmosphere is nice, but consistently get treated rudely by the bartenders. Looking for a local place to have a meal and a couple beers after work. Think I'll look elsewhere.

Great spot with fun music. I had mystery beer and a Creative Juice from City Barrel. Bar staff is great.

This place was a lot of fun. Friendly bar tender and the 3 dollar mystery beer from the machine was a fabulous idea!

The best little dive bar and they surprisingly have really good food. My husband loves getting a mystery beer

This 5-star review is for the meatloaf. Man, I am picky about meatloaf. In fact I would tend to say I don't like meatloaf, because most versions just aren't my thing, but when I find a good meatloaf I love it, and I loved this one. LOVED it. And the portion size of that meal was price appropriate, fairly generous. The staff were nice and very prompt. Aside from that, it's a dive so it's about what you expect. Cheers!

4.5 stars. Great drinks. A tad rough around the edges. Hipster type of crowd, but baked in the KC culture.

Get the Meatloaf, I have to force myself to get it less than once a week. It reminds me of Mom's (she's taught me so much in a kitchen), that I don't want to burn myself out on it. Then I'd probably cry... Also they are home to Mystery Canned Beer Machine!

Super friendly staff, good selection of beers on tap 🙂 did not eat when I was there, but the food looked great. Great atmosphere, definitely a cool cozy place to check out if you’re in the Westport area!

Great stop for a few drinks. Staff was friendly and prompt pouring old crow as their well whiskey (which I always love) and the folks seared near me were jovial and considerate. Would definitely return for a snack - decided to eat a little to late to catch the kitchen before it closes but all the food that passed me by looked solid.

Went this evening for dinner and drinks. Had the double bacon smash burger, wife had chicken sticks (tenders). Then we added on the Mac and cheese entree. Everything was fantastic, especially the Mac and Cheese. The drink selection is extensive and you can choose the "mystery beer". Our server was awesome and offered great advice on menu selections. Would recommend and will be back to sample the wings.
