My mom got the best care here than any other hospital she’s been in. I’ve worked in healthcare for almost 18 years, and I know good teamwork when I see it. Dr T the hospitalist did a very good job explaining the big picture and also keeping an eye on the details. Dr Bryan Spencer the neurologist from Blue Sky was absolutely fantastic. He spent an inordinate amount of time with us on patient and family education, and was very patient and compassionate. Dr Cates, the vascular surgeon, has a steady disposition, is vastly experienced and approached my moms care logically and conservatively. All drs answered every question I had, and were heart-centered men and providers. Not only did they communicate well with us, they communicated with each other, which is a sign of a well-run and well coordinated team. Julia, the techs, and the night RN were fantastic; kept my moms spirits up and also checked in on how we all were doing, even calling me at night when my mom needed a familiar voice. Rooms were kept clean, food was delivered in a timely fashion. Comprehensive, holistic care is delivered here that you can be confident in. RMC is a National Stroke Center, and it’s obvious that they have done the work to excel in stroke management.

Hands down dirtiest hospital I've ever been to. Housekeeping should ALL be fired, starting at the top, and hire all new employees. Excellent doctors, but even factoring that in, hospital still gets only one star. It's run down, filthy, and staff doesn't even look at you, hoping you won't ask them for help. Sad state of our overpriced healthcare system in the US. Pictures attached, but it was hard to capture the full effect of the greasy fingerprints on the doors, walls, windows, chipped paint, furniture, stained, and...thanks, but no thanks for the leftover comb from the previous patient that was left in the filthy, sticky vanity tray of the bed table.

Very impressed with communication! My father had a quadruple bypass and I was so surprised by the communication. Unfortunately with COVID-19 and everything going on only one person could be with him during the whole procedure and hospital stay. He had to stay in the hospital a little longer while they monitored a few things. The doctor (the actual doctor!!) called me almost everyday day with the update! Each time I visited everyone was so friendly and helpful even with all the extra requirements necessary to enter. They were well organized and you can see from photos they are taking plenty of steps to keep people spread out.

The radiologist/surgeon and his assistant were awesome! They were both very informative and very nice, as well as caring and concerned. My experience with the 2…I have no complaints. The assistant came to the nurses station to get me, walked me back and when my appointment was over, he walked me to the door, to the parking lot. We even chatted about health afterwards and how to keep ourselves healthy. The ladies at the front desk, in radiology were exceptionally nice too. One of them called the assistant and asked if he wanted her to walk me back she was told no and that he’d come to get me. They took really good care of me. If I end up having this surgery, I know I’ll be in good hands. Thank you for the warm welcoming and being so informative. It was greatly appreciated.

Brought in in an ambulence. Doctors and nurses were excellent. But one nurse went through my pants, commented on what I had, and stole my $85 Kershaw pocket knife. I get that they don't like weapons, but I wasn't given a choice, and the nurse could have given my knife to security for me to retrieve later.

The staffing is incredible! I felt welcomed and important. Some of the best nurses and Dr's I've ever met work here. Everyone seemed so helpful, polite, kind, and attentive to myself and my needs. Highly recommend this Hospital!

Worst hospital visit. 12/8/23 Was allowed to sit on the floor while being admitted. They refused to give me a walker or wheelchair to go to the bathroom with out assistance for an unknown spinal injury, never gave food or water, or a liquid IV drip. The nurses did not seem like they wanted to be working. I was refused the medication I requested . Waited 9 hrs with zero results. The room next to me was smoking pot, A paramedic came in in place of the nurses to give me pain medication, I told her I had nothing to eat all day and she laughed and said I was fasting, she did go ask of i was allowed to be fed, where they said I was allowed . Save yourself the time and pain and go to belton. The female dr, Breanna headly talked over me and belittled me, causing and argument, she even blamed my ride home that everything was fine until he showed up, i yelled and told her to leave multiple times so she called three security guards to escort me, out. A five foot tall female who can harldy walk. I slowly walked out with a backwards wheelchair as a walker. Go anywhere but here if something serious is wrong with your health. The nurse who put in my iv was great, I wish i knew her name, same with the ct tech he was efficient and remembered my comfort requests, how ever his female techs kept forgetting I had a serious back injury and repeatedly lifted my head. I am Sure ALL of this is on camera. They discharged me with zero results, claiming I wasnt technically parallelized which is what the argument that got me thrown out was over. I can not shower, stand or go to the bathroom on my own. Already im crawling on my hands and knees at home after the medicine wore off. Emtala violations in almost every way possible.

This place is called Research to Kill or barely care for you medical center. The staff ( post op nurses) are horrible, this place is very unorganized. They lost the original copy of the consent form my emergency surgery, no one ever asked me what I wanted to eat, I kept getting trays that had pork on it ( I don't eat pork) so although I was in there for stomach issues, which was enhanced by me smelling pork constantly ( was admitted for 4 days) for lunch and dinner. I didn't eat anything but yogurt and Dole cup of peaches while I was there. If u press the nurse button your lucky if anyone comes within an hour, tell them what u need it's like your bothering them, they exasperate audibly, then another 30-45 mins to receive what u asked for. The surgery team was wonderful. But anesthesia never came to visit me prior to surgery, I had to meet them minutes before surgery took place. My pains was barely managed while in that hospital. I'll never be back. FOR FUTURE REFERENCE:: IF ANYTHING EVER HAPPENS TO ME, DONT LET THEM TAKE ME TO RESEARCH!!!! FOR ANYTHING IDC IF IT'S FOR A SPLINTER. NOT RESEARCH MEDICAL CENTER!

12/2022: I recently gave birth and I absolutely loved my nurses. If you give birth here I hope you get the pleasure of having Marie and Jennette as your nurses. Absolutely amazing, hardworking nurses! ❤️ I have never had a bad experience here, and the emergency room gets you seen quickly. I've had to stay in the neuro department as well from an issue that I've had since birth, and they are so great as well! Seriously a wonderfully staffed hospital! 11/2023: What has happened to this hospital? I used to brag on this hospital. I had to go to the ER this weekend and had the worst experience! The ER nurses gossip about the patients and get annoyed when they are asked for anything. They seem to punish you if you annoy them. I can understand if I was being rude, but I had a very bad reaction to a medication that was given and I was told it was normal. I was then left in the ER room while they searched for a room for me for 8 hours. The communication between the staff is lacking. They would tell me different things and weren't on the same page. It seems a bunch of middle schoolers were hired in the ER.

So my experience with research is not good at all. They treated me with disrespect and didn’t draw the blood right. As you can see on the left hand I have a bump. They also don’t treat the people right that go into the psych part of the Emergency room. They don’t clean the beds at all. So if you’re looking for a clean hospital DON’T GO TO RESEARCH. They usually don’t clean so yeah that’s my review.

I came in through the ER during a high influx time. I was then moved to neurosurgical ICU. Everyone I came in contact with, doctors, nurses, food service and cleaning staff, was great! I felt very safe in their care. I had multiple tests run while there. Those people were also awesome. My only negative would be that during my stay in the ER, my adult daughter had to sit in the waiting room alone until her brother was able to join her.

I was really hoping to like being employed here because you see so many various cultures and minorities in various positions. However, working here seemed to be a huge disappointment and very short-lived. The Sterile Processing department managed by Mr. Vann has no structure or organization and is a toxic work environment. Management constantly complains about what mistakes we have made or something else new they have added to the heavy worklist of things we already have to do. It's like nothing is never good enough, but we are expected to keep doing more without any incentives or raises. The only thing that management seems to care about is the job getting done and whatever makes him look good as a manager. Coming to work shouldn't feel like high school along with politics and favoritism. You have people walking around the department with facial piercings, nail polish, and artificial nails, which is against policy. However, if I say something or mention it, it's not fair, and I'm being what you consider a snitch. When simply a policy is a policy. These rules and policies just can't apply to certain staff and other staff that you like or favor more do not have to follow these exact same rules or policies. Don't even get me started with the undertone racism in the department and how certain races in the department feel they can get away with doing anything they want to do because they feel more superior. An employee had the audacity to approach me and tell me I smelled like alcohol but this same employee already told other people he did drugs, had problems with hemorrhoids and drunk a whole bottle of alcohol while taking an another employee home. Not to mention spreading rumors and sharing gossip that his other peers were having sex throughout the hospital. I can go on and on and on about how unprofessional and how toxic this place is. I was lied to about my rate of pay even with certain licenses or certifications. I was low balled to 18.69 an hr, but I'm expected to work a miracle while I'm there. Gave these people not once but twice to fix my previous check that management was reluctant to fix and its still short. I highly suggest no one works here or in Sterile Processing under Mr Vann.

I cannot express how unbelievably fantastic this hospital is! From arriving and meeting the smiling receptionist, then to the awesome gentleman who went over my insurance with me and onto the room where you get prepped for your outpatient surgery. Well those wonderful people were so friendly & outgoing and caring. Dr. Kay’s I love to pieces , the nurse who assisted her in the OR was a doll and the anesthesiologist was such a great guy!! Then in recovery I had the most phenomenal nurse!! Even after that you go back to where you were prepped and that nurse was just so amazing! This hospital was so immaculate and the personnel are the absolute most professional and loving human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! I am from New York and I had no knowledge of this hospital, but I am honored to have gone there and have 100% faith in its care and knowledge! I am beyond grateful to every single person I had the pleasure of meeting during my outpatient surgery! I would go back in a heartbeat for any procedure I ever needed in the future!! Thank you!!!!

I was able to labor and birth my baby the way I wanted to. My first child was a C-section and I did not want that this time around. I wanted to be able to deliver my child naturally without any medication. That’s exactly what I got. There was never no debate or questions trying to convince me otherwise. The entire staff was on board from day 1. My husband also said he had a great experience. I would highly recommend the labor and delivery! Thank y’all for EVERYTHING! Y’all will always hold a special place in my heart!

If I could give 10 stars or more I would. The people at this hospital are incredibly helpful, caring, professional and went above and beyond in every way to assist me. I was scheduled to have a Mylogram in the morning and see Dr. Rosenberg in the afternoon. Due to the snow storm the doctors office was not open. A nurse, not even my nurse , Heard the dilemma that I had driven 3 1/2 hours and was not going to be able to see the doctor. There was no way for me to contact the office to see if they could work me in the next day because they were closed. She knew someone who knew a doctor that was in the building that knew Dr. Rosenberg. she had them contact him personally and explain the situation. At that point Dr. Rosenberg said he would come to the office after surgery on the next day to see me and “ spend as much time as I needed with him”. I was totally blown away with how accommodating everyone was. Every single person I met in that building was friendly, professional, caring. I was also impressed by the way all the employees treated each other with great respect and kindness. They were so helpful to one another. This is one very special hospital with incredibly special people. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was. If you need a testimony of any kind I am retired motivational speaker. Please give kudos and Sincere thank you to all. Marsha Denise Martin

I went to the hospital for spinal surgery. Dr Neil and his team had prepared me for the surgery by providing specific information about the procedure, what it involved, the recovery plan, and fully explained how my actions could positively impact the results. They answered all of my questions and I was very comfortable with their ability to correct the problem. On the day of the surgery I was admitted promptly and prepared for the procedures by a highly competent team who were efficient, thoughtful, and kind. Jenny and Anna were the epitome of warm professionalism. The anesthesiologist visited and explained the process and what I would experience. When the time came, Ian rolled me into the surgery theater and anesthesiologist executed the process exactly as he’d previously explained. I woke up in recovery and was released to the friends who would oversee my recovery at home. I was a little physically unstable but in minimal pain. My recovery has been , my opinion, going exceedingly well. Less than a week later I am mobile without assistance, in minimal pain and today I will begin my walking plan in which the distance will increase daily. Thank you, all of you, for your professional competence, your kindness and care, and turning what could have been a terrifying experience into one that was exactly as expected thanks to your incredible communication skills, empathy, and skill.

Worst damn service ever in Labor and Delivery I won’t ever have a baby there again. They are very slow and take hours doing simple tasks. They sent me home with list of medicine but didn’t even send it to the pharmacy . They weren’t prepared when I arrived at the hospital or was the room ready.

I just want to say that Ethel Young in surgery dept. was very courteous and helpful. She made me and my family feel less stressful about the surgery my Aunt was having. The surgery was a long one and she kept us informed. She also was hospitable and concerned. We were very impressed how professional she was. Not just professional but a down to earth individual. We just would like to thank her for all she did to make us feel, everything was going to be all right with my Aunt. She's was definitely a Godsend.

The nursing staff was very nice and friendly. The hospital was clean and very comfortable. Went in for a hysterectomy and I was so nervous but the staff and my doctor made it very comfortable for me. Kept my family update with everything and discharge was a walk in the park. They took great care of me.

Excellent care and personal attention always. After my initial cancer diagnosis in early 2021, I visited a few cancer treatment centers. Obviously this is a terrifying, life changing moment for anyone. Especially as we were in the midst of Covid 19 lockdowns. Choosing The Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Research Hospital was an easy choice. My husband and I met with Dr Singh, his staff and the radiation team, from physicians to technicians. The time dedicated to us explaining treatment options, answering all questions, was so reassuring. Our decision was easily made that day. The entire team at Research is amazing from the daily front desk check-in staff to nurses, technicians, and follow-up appointment scheduling department. The comfort and support cannot be overstated. Now cancer free, I still see my team on a regular basis to insure my counts remain healthy. As you have certainly summarized, I highly recommend Research Hospital. At the very least, it’s worth the initial visit.

I decided to check my medical records online about a year after being admitted here for a brief psychosis due to sleep deprivation as a single mother working night shift getting off of work at 3am often times and coming home and taking care of a new born baby with no support and inadequate child care assistance. I’m a young adult who works full time, and since adolescent years have been very active in sports. I do not and have not ever done any drugs in my life. I’m strongly opposed to alcohol and drugs. I became aware that not only was I wrongfully diagnosed, Dr. Anthony Ceman also stated I have a cocaine abuse history and I’ve never and will never do cocaine in my life. I’ve never stated I’ve ever done drugs and informed him I wasn’t sleeping well. Everyone who knows me know that I take my health very seriously and am also plant based. I’m very conscious of my health and do not do drugs or alcohol. Doctors like Anthony Ceman takes your medical emergencies/vulnerabilities and weaponizes them against you to force you into an involuntary stay at this hell hold of a “psychiatric facility”. I was forced on medication/drugs (again have always been opposed to drugs) when he was aware I needed adequate rest as he stated in his write up which I wasn’t aware of at the time working hard as a single mother trying to stay afloat in this society. Instead of Anthony Ceman and associates being forth coming about sleep deprivation psychosis (which he was aware) and fulfilling his responsibilities of resolving the medical emergency, he lied about the diagnosis to hold me here as a cash cow and deteriorate my well being and liver with medication I wasn’t in need of. If this sounds like medical healing and assistance come here but I wouldn’t wish this “treatment” on my worst enemy. I will be suing.

I enjoyed my stay in the hospital; the nurses put my well-being and care first. There was one nurse that helped me by getting me soap and toothpaste and bath wipes to take care of my personal hygiene. The doctor and the supported team they did the procedure was very professional and I thank them for that. May God continue to bless research hospital. Thank you

Had emergent admission to the ICU and was immediately impressed with the night nursing and medical staff. The day nurse was clearly new but the others were attentive too and helped her. The facility is clean, the ICU staff pleasant and we were all able to rest knowing he was well cared for. They immediately made a stressful situation very manageable. The surgeon Dr Cameron and his NP were amazing and prompt with care and questions were welcomed and answered.

How is Aaron even working here , he’s not even fit for this job , it’s like he lied on his resume. Please don’t let terrible egotistic people work here .

The care that I received at the burn unit was out of this world. Every single nurse made sure I had the absolute best care, they all went above and beyond. Dr. Garcia is amazing, she took the time to make sure all my questions and concerns were answered and never made me feel dumb or rushed. I hope I never have to go back to the burn unit again but if i do I know that I will have the best possible care. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would.

I had my first baby here a week ago, and the nurses and doctors were amazing! Everyone we met was super nice and helpful. Our baby had to go to the NICU and those nurses were also awesome and shared some great tips and tricks for our newborn! I will recommend labor and delivery at Research to other soon to be moms.

The actual procedure etc, all the people were great. BUT I was instructed to go to the main hospital entrance & check in. ( I had done this a few years ago so made sense). When I entered the main hospital door there is no longer an information desk ( there is a sign INFORMATION with an arrow but no desk. So I called as was told that I needed to go to another building. Once I did this, the parking lot was dark & creepy, signage NOT great, found my way in & again signage NOT great. The information appeared to be for inpatients & I was outpatient. Finally, just asked & the lady at the check out apologized, said people are told the wrong thing all the time????? She was nice, the mammogram tech was awesome but I hope to not have to return. Luckily, I had gone early so had time for returning to car etc, what if I had taken a cab, a friend had dropped me off, if I was unable to navigate all this on my own????

I was told by a sick worker that If you are an employee with COVID19 you are forced to stay home without pay, absolutely zero help- so they end up coming to work anyways even though they are sick because they can't afford to stay home without pay or without their PTO garnished. I'm assuming this goes for all of HCA. Shameful you profit billions and can't take care of your employees so they can stay home and not spread sickness.

The psychiatrist who treated me tried to convince me that my allergies to airborne food compounds had been delusions that could be treated with antipsychotic medication. I would like to speak to the medical school he went to in order to stress the importance of instilling a working knowledge of food allergies into new medical students. I also require new policies to be put in place such that the FDA regulates that food companies list corn and mustard cultivars as an allergy, although that is beyond the scope of this review. Some of the staff members had been very kind and professional, so 2 stars instead of one. I may have been unkind to them during my personal crisis, so: thank you for being there for me, and my apologies for the manner by which I may have verbalized unkind words, sir and/or ma'am.

I have been there twice for some pretty serious health issues and both times they were just like sheeeeiiiiiit we don't know. Best of luck! 1000 dollar bill. If you need to go to the hospital do not go here cuz I'm sure they want you to die so they can RESEARCH your body or something. It's in a predominantly black area and I really don't think they care about black people. I don't know, I'm just one guy. But if you have an option go elsewhere. Seriously.

I had a same day hysterectomy, as in everything removed (I found out there are 3 separate names) (I am astounded it was all done in 1 day). I had excellent care, there was just a lot of bruising with the IV. I was out of there so fast with what I have always thought of as a pretty serious operation. Modern medicine! So far recovery is about what I thought it would be. I will go for a 1 week appointment in a few days. I am very happy with Dr Lybarger.

Nice building and reception area, very clean and organized. Staff was friendly and professional and made me feel at ease and relaxed. I was admitted for lower back surgery. All pertinent information was discussed and paperwork gone over so there would be no surprises after surgery and during post-op care. Staff called several times after discharge to make sure I was comfy and everything was okay and made themselves available when I called with questions. Thank you one and all and especially Dr. Hardaway, for a job well done.

This has been the BEST hospital experience that we have ever had. All of the doctors and nurses are so knowledgeable. The Grossman Burn unit has the kindest and most with it staff that we have ever dealt with. I cannot rave enough about the thoroughness and wonderful bedside manner that we received. I cannot give this unit and its people a high enough rating.

Charged me $236.61 for an office visit that was paid through my co-pay for facilty charges. In 7 years going there this had never been charged to me.. I changed Doctors and will never go back to this swindle This was part of a new billing system and they threatened to ruin my credit if I did not pay it. Because of their billing in another state I could never talk to anyone in another state. I will NEVER go to a docters visit for a check up again there.

This was a radiation consultation for follow up to hysterectomy. I was nervous and apprehensive. I was taken good care of and given step by step instructions and explanation of what to expect. The doctor and mapping specialist were very helpful and caring. I was relieved when it was over of course. Kudos to all staff who checked me in to the nurses guiding me to where I needed to go.

I love everyone at Research Hospital! Especially in the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center. I'm there a lot. Everyone is calm, easy-going and really gets to know you. From the reception staff to the pre op to post op They were spot on the whole time, I was the patient but they also made sure my wife and daughter were taking care of during my procedure. From questions I had that were simple to questions they had to search to find the answer no question was a bother to them. The OR staff was phenomenal also they made sure that I was in complete comfort before I was knocked out and actually took the time to make sure I was at ease. After the procedure the recovery team made sure I was taken care of also along with my family members. All the staff that interacted with me and my family from the start to discharge they’re concern was me. I can’t give them enough compliments as I was or can be the most difficult patient they had all day Thank you again Terry Pierson

This place is amazing. It took so much time to realize that. I’m 25. My first admission here, I was 18. It took that many years to realize the work research does for its patients. I’ve been admitted here 3 times & I honestly believe I will never have to be admitted into another psychiatric hospital ever again. They care about you. Trust them, they can’t help if you don’t trust them and you’re not being honest. Avoid being an emergency if you can help it at all the ER makes my skin crawl.

The techs were bedder than most of the nurses. I was there a little over a month and the food service is outrageous and could not get things correct. The rehab Dept was awesome from the therapist to the doctors. I would rank that team as the best - they actually care about the patients. I would highly recommend Research in patient therapy . It’s thanks to them I’m where I am at today

Right now I'm in a room that I'm pretty sure is not supposed to be used for in.coming trauma. Heather and this girl Mary put me in around 130 pm on Friday August 11th 2023. They refused to let me leave and there is not restroom in here. Pretty sure they just didn't like me because I went off on their friend who was roaming around being drunk. We will see though. Here I sit. The wholenight shift was in on being rude.

The patient was my husband Richard. He was very pleased with every one caring for him. From the doctors to everyone involved in his care, he has nothing but good things to say. Great hospital with excellent doctors. Thank everyone.

The ER Staff was very professional and polite. Kudos to Dr Joshua Howard for explaining to me what was going on. Also, thanks to Nurse Kinsey (I think that's her name).

I can’t thank enough to the fantastic team that took care of me today at the emergency room, I arrived with a horrible abdominal pain, I didn’t even waited 3 minutes when Eric called me to ask me what was going on with me, then this amazing, super fantastic and caring Dr Deidra L Charles came in couple seconds asking me questions and I can feel how much attention she was giving me, I got admitted and Hannah was amazing putting my IV, she came within minutes to gave me pain medication, even the registration lady I don’t remember her name, was so amazing and caring, then Chris took me for a CT Scan, He was also amazing and caring!! Jeff took me back in a wheelchair to my room and He was trying to be as gentle as possible because He knew I was in pain, later Dr Deidra Charles came back to tell me I have a kidney Stone that I don’t need a surgery and sent me medication, but before sending me home she made sure I was 100% out of pain and that my nauseas were gone!! Marisol helped me with my discharged papers and She was also amazing and caring! Thank you to all you guys!! This is what I called amazing services! You guys deserve the best of life!

I was on the L&D floor and the whole staff was very nice and friendly. The surgery team was very efficient. The food from the cafeteria was delicious. The security on the L&D floor gives you a piece of mind knowing your baby safe and sound.

I had Family transferred there, Staff has no bedside manners. Doctor smelled like stale Cigars, Nurses are rude and there is no communication. The Hosiptal itself is in bad shape, there are urin leaks under the urinal, sinks are gross, dust specks in corners. I could go on and on

I took my wife here because she was having chest pains and felt like she couldn't breathe. I went home for a bit and while I was away my wife started to become agitated and started sweating. Like you do when you are having a heart attack. The nurse called my wife hostile and security guards threw my wife on the bed, cuffed here hands behind her back and dragged her down the hall and out of the ER. I should mention that she is sixty eight years old and five foot tall. Next month she has to go to court because they charged her with criminal trespass.
