I'm currently sitting in my hospital room. I have experienced inattentive and rude staff, conflicting information, lack of empathy or real concern for my health, call lights that don't get answered, tests that get pushed to the following day, etc. They keep adjusting my thermostat to basically hell. I had to call 596-3000 from my hospital bed to get help to shower. I'm sipping the same warm water from a day ago despite requesting water. They act like chicken bullion is hard to come by and act like you're asking for a kidney if you press the call button. My room is dirty. Only cold showers in room 200. Haven't seen my nurse much but another one comes by just to acknowledge that she knows nothing. GI doctors came before even reading my results and said I don't know or recall reading your results...completely insane. No bed side manners.my shades are still pulled completely down. Don't come here unless you want to be ignored until you heal on your own or get wheeled to the morgue.

My daughter has been waiting 7 1/2 hrs in the waiting room after they diagnosed her with a blood clot. She is still waiting and still in pain and still has not received any treatment for the blood clot.

I was in the ER 9/27. We arrived at 9:08 pm and waited over 3 hrs to be seen. Once called back, the doctor peeked in for less than 5 minutes. My procedure was handled by the nurse in less than 15 minutes. I'm sure the ER is understaffed. There weren't that many in the waiting room to be seen and it did not appear to be all that busy. Waiting 3 hours while I was in pain was too long. I will go to a different hospital the next time I need immediate care.

My mother was not happy in the hospital. Hospitals have to do their normal routine. The staff on the other hand was absolutely awesome. Some of the best people. They were all great with my mother. She is really small and delicate. The blood pressure band hurts her a lot. If not for that she would have been very happy.

Went to the ER for a tooth infection; checked in; and within ~10 minutes I was behind the curtain being taken care of. Another 20 minutes or so I was out the door with all the information I needed to resolve my medical needs. PMC has been my go-to since day one. I stand by their staff, their operations, and the supreme quality that they will do whatever they can for a person in order to get them as close to tip top shape as possible.

Providence ER is very well equipped and simply beautiful as a hospital setting. The staff is responsive and well trained. Tests are immediate and thorough. Parking is friendly and close to the entrance. The Doctors take their interface with patients quickly and always stay calm and available to them throughout the time allowing them to understand the patients.

If I could give zero stars I would. I spent 4 hours in the ER, I received 2 IV bags, 1 Tylenol, a pregnancy test/ sonogram and a Covid test. And somehow that bill came out to be $15,000 total before adjustments. I called multiple times trying to understand why I’m getting billed for my stay from 4 3rd party entities. I called providence and asked them after I paid everything, if I owed anymore money. I was told by 2 different employees that I didn’t have a balance. Come to find out , I do owe money and they sent it to collections. Avoid going here at all costs, they just want your money and to send you to the streets.

I used vouchers from MD Save to get blood work done. Providence had the best price and I saved about $200 by going to Providence. I was nervous about using the MD Save voucher because I have never used one before. Although no one on the phone could tell me about it, the lady at out patient registration was knowledgable and extremely competent. They even had MD Save brochures on the counter. The phlebotomist I had was excellent, too, friendly, fast, and efficient. Everyone I met there today from the lady cleaning the bathroom to the receptionist at outpatient check in was friendly and wanting to be helpful. Can't speak to anything else about this hospital but for out patient lab work, they're great.

Horrible! Referred for 3 tests and they dropped ball performing 3 unneeded tests. Wasted no time to send me an $11,400 bill. Took them 2 nurses to start an IV. Looks anywhere else but this unprofessional Healthcare outfit; Providence Medical!

Nurse Gemini provided a warm welcoming atmosphere upon preparing me for my procedure. Positive attitude with lots of laughs and encouragement she gave me. I appreciate Mister Stephen Lowry for being a wonderful surgeon getting me comfortable before doing my gallbladder procedure, as he coached and talked me through it, letting me know what to expect, what to consume, and what to do to speed up my recovery, post-procedure. Due to my lack of confidence with going through, and fear around any long term effects the procedure would have on me, I wish I was provided with different medical, healthy/dietary, and self-care options on how I could've reversed my elevated gallbladder levels and prevent myself from having to undergo the procedure.

For this to be a catholic hospital they are very rude in the lab off. The Mexican lady at the front desk did not acknowledge my present until after I said something. She was too busy holding a conversation with another employee about what they doing this weekend.... very unprofessional

I had a great experience at Providence. The Nursing staff was phenomenal especially the EMT Kristen and the Nurse Kendra, they both constantly checked in on me. I saw doctor Wedel came in and saw me within 5 minutes of being triaged and ensured I was comfortable! He ensures I knew what tests were being ran and listened to my concerns! I would definitely recommend this team! Even short handed I was in and out in under 4 hours! Amazing Care! I will come back to them anytime!

It's a great hospital, my only concern was with the front desk. I came in on an emergency and the girl taking my information down was joking around instead of being serious. Another concern is that it took them around 30 minutes to help me, I had an open wound laceration. Nonetheless, I was very happy that the took care of me.

Great experience. From the minute I walked in the door. I had to encounter 5 different people for my visit. Everyone was super polite and professional. In and out with no issues whatsoever. Special shout out to Tech George Easton who was amazing with his personality, attitude and professionalism. It is refreshing to have people like George who likes to laugh and pass his positive attitude onto his patients. I felt refreshed after my visit. Try saying that the next time you leave a hospital.

The outpatient surgery experience at Providence for me yesterday couldn’t have been better. Everything from check-in to discharge went flawlessly. I was in a terribly wicked mood to say the very least—because I hadn’t slept a wink and didn’t want to be there so early in the day and am sure everyone could tell I was being a Royal “B”. And without my coffee! From start —registration to finish all staff —from transporters, secretaries, support staff, technicians, nurses and doctors and anesthesiologists were pleasant, polite, skilled, calm, reassuring, made eye contact, answered my questions with patience, detail, sincerity and truth, and explained everything and guarded my privacy as needed even including in the operating room. How important and helpful it was for me to experience the environment that was clean, quiet, calm and soothing. The entire process for me went smoothly without wasting time and energy. I make these remarks sincerely and hope that your staff and management see my feedback. Not like dying and going to heaven of course, but definitely doable. Thank you Everyone For my part I surely recommend Providence out/patient department. Best—Marianne Routh

I took my son to Providence and had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Brian Warden. His bed side manners were phenomenal, he was very detailed and informative. He took his time and did not seem as if he was rushing out the room. If it was something we didn't understand he would explain it another way without a attitude until everything was understood. We need more doctors like him

I had ankle surgery yesterday morning at Providence. The female and male nurse who took care of me were so kind and considerate. The anesthologist was kind and matter of fact. Zhipeng Yang, DPM is an extraordinary doctor specializing on foot and ankles. He answered all my questions, was knowledgeable, and kind. The only reason it's a 4 star and not a 5 is because the recovery room process was the hardest part of the whole thing. I felt rushed and my friend who also had surgery there not too long ago felt she was rushed as well. Rushed to open my eyes, rushed to stand up even when I couldn't, rushed to put on my clothes, etc. I was not ready and am wondering if it's protocol and they are supposed to rush you. I was so relieved to get in the truck so I could close my eyes again. Besides feeling rushed to leave, everything else was wonderful. Thank you, Dr. Yang.

I went in at 6 AM for an Out-Patient surgery on my right hand. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile from the receptionist, which made me feel more at ease and safe. There after throughout my procedure the entire staff that took care of me made me feel so safe and continually reassured me that everything was going to be just fine. Totally people who are professionals. Thank you Dr. Wilkinson and out-patient staff.

I visit with the ER on October 3 and was complaining of chest pain I was taking back the fast track because there was no other rooms for me was put in an uncomfortable chair. The nurse took me twice to get blood in an IV. She was unsuccessful and we getting blood and I was told that someone else will come and try to get a sample of blood from me no one ever showed up to work two hours later when I asked, I was told they were waiting for the lab and the lab was busy when the healthcare provider came in the room she sat in the chair and asked me how was I feeling and a few other questions never did an examination on me, but did order a EKG and labs when I complained about the chair again I was told there was no other place to put me and to be patient about the labs when the nurse came in to give me pain medication she hooked it up to my IV that she had started. I had to ask her. What was she injecting into the IV and she told me it was pain medication. All of these all of these events led up to me being concerned about the level of care that I was receiving so I decided it would be best for me to leave their concern about my chest pain and my opinion was being minimalize and it showed

Providence Medical Center outpatient surgery department took excellent care of me recently for a minor hand surgery. The registration process was quick and efficient. The outpatient nurses Laura and Erin got me ready very quickly and explained what would be happening very clearly . They did a quick review of my medical history and medication’s making sure everything was accurate. Dr. Smith and Emalee the cRNA also reviewed my history and honored my specific request . I woke up in the recovery room very comfortable and warm and felt very safe with the recovery room nurse Laurie by my side . She treated my discomfort quickly And helped me feel my best And allowed my husband to participate in the discharge process. I highly recommend Providence Medical Center where I enjoyed the compassionate care of skilled professionals!

Providence Med Ctr has always been good to me and my family. My ER doctor took the time to do some of the nurses’ job over when they were busy, hooking up my iv line with meds and bring me juice and crackers. I’ve never had a doctor do that before!! The nurse needed a little more experience but the doctor was fabulous!

I was surprised at the quick service I received in the ER on Wednesday morning. I was dreading going because of the usual long wait time. I was checked in by a very pleasant and helpful registration person. I was immediately taken back to Triage by a friendly nurse. However immediately upon entering the room she was called away to an emergency ambulance patient. I didn't mind and had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. The doctor who examined me was friendly and very thorough. She diagnosed my pain quickly and recommended a solution. She was very helpful and kind. Everyone...the vitals nurse, X-ray technician and medication nurse were all very nice. I feel much better today! Thank you PMC. Best ER experience I have ever had.

From the lady at desk where I walked in. To the lady that checked me in. That literally walked me to my appointment. To the gentleman that gave me my sonogram that had me in and out before my appointment time. Then walked me down to my next appointment. Where I should have waited for 3 hours before I was scheduled, but worked me in 15 minutes. Both explained what they were going to do in a way that I could understand. It’s comfortable to be able to do business with people that are that professional.

I wasn't happy with them at first cause the first time my husband went for his foot they admitted him and let him go before ready.(all because of no insurance)Otherwise I don't think he would have had to have the surgery in first place. Having said that when he did go back and they admitted him and did the surgeries I have to say I was really impressed! His nurses were really nice that I talked to and his doctor actually took the time to explain things to me I didn't understand without getting frustrated like some doctors do. They took really great care of him and have been a tremendous care for him since he has gotten out. I am really impressed on how far they went to help him. And they didn't give up on anything. The doctors and nurses he had seemed very dedicated to their work and are good at what they do.

I recently had a knee replacement at Providence medical center. The joint center inside the hospital was so awesome. From checking in to discharging was beyond 100% the best experience! Everyone was so kind and helpful to make sure I was always comfortable. I thank each and everyone of you for going beyond your job to care for me. I hope you realize how much it meant to me. The food was really good also. So anyone recieving a joint replacement I highly recommend Providence Medical Center.

Providence Hospital in 1990 and 1992 delivered both my boys who are now 31 and 29yrs old. They were so wonderful to our boys and wonderful to there dad and I. I have always been satisfied with all of Providence. Recently I had to make a ER visit where they took 3 swabs, flu, rapid covid, and the last swab they sent to a lab was a covid test that came back positive I was informed immediately. Thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and aides. Catrina Yeager

They don't have doctors in the emergency room, only nurse practitioners which misdiagnosed my wife and sent her home. She's worse, I found out about no doctors because I wasn't here the first time and we came back because she got worse at which time I was told no doctors only NPs. The nurse practitioner called me the first time my wife was in here and didn't even know why she came in. Then she told me my wife was fine even with bad blood tests, very high ketones and still doubled over in pain. She told me my wife was drinking fluids just fine (never happened) and sent her home. In her notes after the visit she wrote that the patient nor family mentioned nausea or abdominal pain which was what she came in for in the first place. Don't come to the emergency room, especially if you are in bad shape.

I would definitly give Providence Medical Center a zero or worse for their ER. It was the worst time of my life. There was no one at front desk when came in to Er by ambulance. I was in ER for about 10 hours before admitted. One nurse for everyone that was in ER. Was in pain the whole time I was there. Once admitted I was taken to 6th floor where there was about 7 nurses at the station. There is something wrong with this. Please do not go the ER at Providence Medical Center. I was treated well once I got out of ER, I truly thought I was going to die due to the pain I had in my head from Verdigo. They had 3 assistants that would not tell nurse or even help me to the bathroom. Had I fallen I would be sueing right now. God help us all if this is what all ER's are like.

Treated my loved one like a drug seeking hypochondriac based on the fact that he sought medical care for multiple issues there, when that couldn't be further from the truth. Discharged him with little to no aftercare while still unable to keep food down and in severe pain. As a matter of fact he was in a different ER and re-admitted to another hospital that same night which provided much more thorough and compassionate care. He has an extremely high threshold for pain in fact, but due to a connective tissue disorder affecting every joint and organ in his body, yes he has had to seek care here for multiple "unrelated" things when we weren't able to go to a better hospital that understands. If you want to be treated well, especially if you're chronically ill and/or a part of a marginalized group, go to KU.

I spent over 4 hours in the ER. I was the only one being seen by the doctors at the time I came in. Two people after me had already left before me. I told my doctor 3 times that I had to leave before a certain time, and they said i’d be out long before the time. I was not. They also forgot to ask me a few important questions, along with taking my temperature.

Dr Ellison did a fantastic job with my surgery from telling me exactly what was going to happen to after the surgery. Laurie was my nurse and she was one of the sweetest nurses i’ve ever had. She rubbed my back, put chapstick on for me and fed me ice cubes. I appreciate them both so much!

Went into providence for elevated bp n ches pains. At request of Dr. Only to sit in the lobby for 3 hrs 6 people who came in after me were taken back. Mind you, there were ONLY 2 PEOPLE IN THE LOBBY. n be told it was only marked as high bp. Told her I wouldn't be there if it was just hbp. Came under Dr. Advisory for elevated bp w chest pains. 157/105 triage Get into the room rn was great who was a contract rn, but the np Deana was not hospitable nor was concerned about pt health. Skin color n getting me out of the room as quickly as she could. So in a rush, none of my bp was noted n charted she tried telling me it was in the 80s, and I reiterated my bp was never in the 80s it's been a battle for 2yrs Rustle to take my bp by placing the cup back on my arm n running over to the machine, she seeing its 137/94 using that number to release me. Note that she had already written up my discharge papers 1123 pm. before, I was actually released at 12 15am having another ca come in to remove my iv line. Now tell me, WHY WAS I DRUG TESTED! When I went in under the advisory of dr for elevated bp w chest pains. After recving the itemized billing, I have 3 charges, which should not be on there. Pretty pathetic n very discerning to know there are some people that work in this Business who do no justice in honoring their code of helping others because of their skin. I was told I had 3 infections given and a spot on my lungs (oh its small "states rn) np didn't mention) 4 pills of antibiotics n didn't take any other meds, so why was i charged for that. This place was checking everything else except what I was going in for. Ekg done xray done n 10 vials of blood taken. Raises question what reasons did you have to do a drug test, ua, other cultures of blood which didn't pertain to high blood pressure, hrt function vessels n toxicity of bld. To be charged 6k when I've been there before even staying overnight n not being this high of a bill. Times don't match. N again, you did a drug screen. Why? Oh! blk female must be on drugs or doing some type. READ MY FREAKING RECORDS.

I came into the ER with MAJOR stomach issues and pains. The Dr that I had in the ER was AMAZING! I also had the honor of having Kristin EMT-P with me in the ER and she was such a doll!!! This was my first time being admitted into a hospital and hands down this is the best staff I've ever came across in a hospital! I am on the 5th floor and all the ladies here are just amazing! Susan has been my nurse for the past 2 days and she's been such a joy!!! Thank you all for taking good care of me and making my first time stay at a hospital as comfortable as you guys did!! Really enjoyed the view as well

Nice friendly staff. Very respectful. Just wish their process was improved, if your situation isn't bad they could discharge you and just email your discharge papers and results. No need to wait around. This would also free up the nurses to better serve other patients.

I received and have been receiving excellent care from Physical Therapy at Providence Outpatient. Meghan and Patty have been wonderful in helping to rehab my total hip replacement! Always willing to offer suggestions and alternatives for therapy. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend Providence OP Physical Therapy! 5 star rating for sure! Also include everyone from reception to the other people I have received therapy from before including Gene!

The people at Providence were above and beyond. They not only gave me top of the line medical care, but was compassionate, friendly, and respectful. Nobody really wants to go to the hospital for emergency care (in my opinion), but I couldn't have expected better treatment from the team there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I was seen very promptly when arriving to the ER. The gal that checked me in was very friendly, very professional and made the process go quick. I waited 5 mins before seen by the nursing staff. My nurse was absolutely wonderful! The guy from CT was awesome! And the physician Dr Bullock was very informative. I couldn't ask for better care. I wish I could remember all the names of the staff that cared for me because you all deserve to be recognized for your great work and compassion you gave. Thank you
