Went here to kill time while waiting for my sons baseball game to start. We are from out of town and my daughter (4 y/o) really enjoyed it. A group/organization even came by giving out free popsicles to everyone. I believe they were called “love your neighbor” so neat.

Best park in the Northland a Kansas City. Excellent equipment and attractions. A wonderfully diverse community of children and adults. Bathroom water fountain. The only thing it last adult walking trip but there is a sidewalk nearby.

My twin 4 year olds and I spent about 3 hours there needing to kill time. It had tons of different playground equipment for all different ages. There was lots of people there, but it didn't feel crowded because there was tons of space. We really enjoyed it.

Penguin Park is one of the best parks around. Restrooms on sight, covered pavilion area with ample seating, a toddler/small kiddo area sits a bit to the side, they have a cushioned kind of turf to help with safety, water fountains for people and pups, and enough play equipment to keep most ages entertained. They also have multiple interactive music stations, slides, climbing equipment, swings for all age ranges are spread throughout, and there is ample parking. Penguin Park is a must for any of us with kiddos!! Easily accessible for those who have Accessibility needs or limited mobility.

Took our 2 year old here. One of the coolest parks I’ve been too. Something for kids of all ages. Everyone was really nice and some live music made it even cooler.

We love Penguin Park! My husband grew up playing at this park and we love that we can share it with our daughter. She has so much fun and tells all her friends in Indiana about Penguin Park. Lots of stuff for kids of all ages to do. Bathrooms & nice covered seating area.

Great park! We went on a crazy hot day and hosted our family picnic. The shelter is the perfect size, catches a good breeze, and provides good shade. Lots of fun things for the kiddos to play on. Swings, slides, jungle gyms, etc. They even have a side of the park meant for smaller kids which is nice. The park was clean & has a water fountain. I believe they only had porta potties this time but they used to have actual bathrooms

Such an awesome park! There are adorable giant animals that are original to the park from the 1950s. Also impressed by the new playground equipment, turf, and especially the parent-child swings!!

Very nice kid friendly park! My kids aged 2 and 4 had a great time with the variety of playground equipment! They were in awe of the big animal statues throughout the park. Only thing is that the park needs some overhead shading over the equipment.

I’ve been coming often and found my toddler enjoying everything. I think she loves the atmosphere with so many kids around. So even on busy days, I enjoy it. There’s also a path behind the playground that is a nice walk! But one of the toddler area climbing structure near the fence (the open pipe) does need to be fixed. The last time we went, there was still a huge chip that I carefully guided my toddler to walk around.

Coolest park. So many memories here! Where else can you see a giant kangaroo and penguin?! The elephant slide is a kid favorite too. Tons to do at this park! This park stays busy! There is restrooms. The ice cream man comes through often in the summer months. There's almost always a birthday party going on at the parks shelter. The park equipment does get burning your skin hot in the summer. Watch your kiddo closely this park will be busy and packed! Tons of things to climb on and swings! Great park for little kids 2 to 12ish.

I grew up with my mom taking my brother and I to penguin park. It has always been one of my favorite memories as a kid. Now as an adult I've taking both of my kids there over the years so they could play there as well. Thank you for keeping it going for all of us to bring our kids to.

The overcast and rainy weather sure didn't stop my girls and fiancé from having fun!! This park was an excellent spot to kill some time while vacationing in KS, MO in between our planned activities. My children (ages 2, 4, and 26) are sure to remember this park out of our mini vacation! Also, the public restrooms were surprisingly nice for a public restroom!

Visited with my daughter and her friend. Fun place for kids. Open grassy areas around the large playground that is great for walking dogs on a leash. They have a covered pavilion and picnic tables. The kids had fun playing and climbing. Lots of giant sized animals provide a fun theme for the kids. Some of the parents were even participating in the play!

Great family park in a safe neighborhood. I've been taking my kids here for a decade and it's our favorite.

Very cool park!! I love that there were 2 areas. One for the older kids and one for the young kids. The larger than life animals are fun for the kids. There is musical "things" that the kids can play too. We spent a few hours there and had a lot of fun. Sorry, only one photo with no faces.

The park itself is nice. No complaints about the equipment or facilities. However, DO NOT bother reserving the shelter if you're having an event. Nobody enforces your reservation and the tables are still just first-come, first-serve. Waste of $100. Just show up and do whatever you want, and don't waste your money on a reservation.

Best park in Kansas City! Our grandchildren love it, and so do we, the walking trail is an adventure on its own. We go everytime we get the pleasure or having our grandchildren.

Huge playground with various areas that provide equipment perfect for all ages of children. My son loves the smaller toddler area, and the safety swings. That said, this part is not, technically, fully accessible. Which is a bummer.

A delightful park! The fun and quirky animals make for a magical experience. The playground has so many fun things to go on. Well worth a visit! Hopefully the restrooms and drinking fountains will be functional next time we go.

While visiting Kansas City I found this absolutely wonderful park🤩 the theme & concept is amazing at the time of my visit I found the park completely occupied 👍 which makes me wonder why there are not more similar to this one💯 10/10 for family destinations if in the K. C area
