The hospital is very nice, and the food is great, services rendered are great, but the compassion and hospitality of the staff is very much less than even decent. I drove 6 hours to be with my daughter who was transferred there after her water broke at 28 weeks. So on top of the stress of the well being of both my daughter and my grandchild I was not treated as welcome, when asking for directions to get around the hospital there was eye rolls and less than helpful direction. Rude and uppity staff.

Had a wonderful birth experience with my son here from the moment I walked in with contractions to leaving the hospital. The nurses acted fast when they were losing the heart rate on my son when my son was having a tough time with such fast intense contractions. They were great at coaching me through labor along with my Doctor. My postpartum experience was great too. They were very attentive and always made sure I was comfortable and answered any questions we had. The room was clean and comfortable. A much better experience than I pictured when I imagined birthing a child.

This is a nice hospital don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t recommend tho! by just the way they communicate with the moms and dads about there baby is horrible waited hrs. To here new info about my daughter and updates and more I just don’t like to wait hrs. To get updates after asking it shouldn’t take a whole day to get a update plus they got my baby birth weight wrong 3 times how is that ! just the whole experience was something I wouldn’t wish on my Worst enemy

This hospital has no place for women that are visiting who are breastfeeding to pump or feed baby even though they have a nicu and labor/delivery. If breast is best, give Mothers the space they deserve so we can comfortably collect the food that nourishes our babies. How we treat Mothers in our society reflects what we value the most and what we value the least.

I was a patient at St Luke’s to deliver my baby. The care received in L&D and the postpartum floors was exceptional. Each nurse treated us with respect, care, explained what they were doing and were so respectful of my needs and wishes. My husband and I were so impressed by the nursing and support staff. The hospital pediatrician was also phenomenal. And our OB who delivered our baby there is one of the best. Can’t recommend Saint Luke’s enough.

Overall my experience with the care I received was average at St Luke’s Hospital, but yesterday my sister’s oncology social worker’s disrespect and mishaps had painful physical and devastatingly emotional affects on my sister’s well-being. I don’t know if this social worker’s missteps were racially motivated or just insensitivity, but my sister was placed at the least adequate rehabilitation facilities at the recommendation and high pressure of this social worker. My sister was pressured into making an on the spot decision regarding her care without the family member in charge of her health care input. Transportation wasn’t made to accommodate her needs. She waited over 2 1/2 hours in the lobby and ER for a ride to a facility that wasn’t of her family’s choice. There’s nothing being done to rectify the situation. I left my sister, who has suffered through multiple myeloma and breast cancer, who was hospitalized with pneumonia in dark and dismal surroundings tonight due to a St Luke’s Hospital Social Worker’s negligence.

Birth experience was great! Surgery experience was great! Pediatrician was fantastic! My postpartum nurses were kind of cold. I had one nurse that I absolutely loved, she made me feel like a person, and not just another patient. She listened to my concerns and took care of me. I nominated her for the daisy award during my stay. My other 2 nurses were kind of cold. One younger nurse that I had most of my stay, seemed like she didn't like me. She kept forgetting to bring things to me. She even as i was leaving told me to have the escort meet my husband at the pharmacy before they left, but when the escort got there to pick me up, told him to just take me to the parking garage. He was new and didnt know where he was going. My breastfeeding experience has been very painful, and it's not my first, so I felt like I wasn't listened to. Turns out my baby has issues that make breastfeeding painful. We are just learning about it and having to jump through hoops with insurance to get it corrected. If I had not breastfed before, I would've given up with all of the pain it caused at the hospital.

I’ve been a patient at St. Luke’s for at least 15 years and this is the first time I’ve experienced it taking almost 2 weeks to get my lab results read. I called and the nurse said, everything checked out fine. Why hasn’t the doctor read them and uploaded them to my portal?

The hospital that brought me into the world was nearly responsible for taking me out of it. From the front desk woman, to the triage nurse, and the 5 hours I sat regurgitating blood in the ER while all the other patients were yelling to get me help, I had the worst experience at a hospital in the entire decade I’ve been chronically sick. The nurses and doctors in the back were 1. Horrified at my experience and how I was treated and 2. Mortified at how long it took to get me treatment and validated mine and my fathers concerns. I left a survey response requesting a call and still have yet to hear back. If your family is experiencing an emergent situation, go anywhere else other than St Luke’s on the plaza.

I pretty much wouldn’t recommend this place to any individual that has any health problem, even the slightest . The doctor I had was Dr. Singh and not only was she highly unprofessional but also has an extremely nasty attitude. (but I figured I might deal with it at the time being because she only recommended I visit once a year so it was bare-able) she isn’t punctual at all, if you have an appointment with her, plan on being in the waiting room for atleast 4 hours , and me being in the medical field I was more than understanding about that. She’s judged me several times for past medical decisions, she’s gaslit me several times when I’ve tried to come to confide in her about my mental health. I remember even telling her I was dealing with severe depression and I was concerned and she said something along the lines of “ you got yourself into this, just deal with it now “ lol. As a patient I was in shock, because I had never witnessed a doctor being so unapologetically rude to a patient. I pretty much had appointments and she would tell ME that everything was fine (even when they weren’t, because that wouldn’t be convenient for her otherwise). I wouldn’t recommend seeing this doctor, if you care about your own health or mental health please see someone else. Because she doesn’t care. And as a black woman I already don’t receive the care I should as a whole, so I definitely don’t appreciate her unwillingness to simply care. I’ve lost hope in humanity after experiencing a doctor like her

I left a large review on the St. Luke’s South in Overland Park‘s site which was supposed to go on the St. Luke’s Plaza site. I’m trying to get it off right now but while I am here I will give you the review for Midwest cardiothoracic group and St. Luke’s stroke care center. I had open heart aortic valve replacement in 2014 the surgery was a success, but they totally ignored my plea to check my head I was having horrible seizures I couldn’t pick up anything with my right hand slurred speech blacking out. My wife, a nurse kept going out to the desk to check with the nurses they looked at my telemetry and said my heart was fine she kept telling them it was neurological and they just kept saying it’s postanesthesia that it’s perfectly normal. We told no less than nine nurses and two doctors including Dr. PAK and Dr Borkon that I was having these seizure like events several times a day they contributed it to Postanesthesia. Ended up three days after they’re released in my good hospital in North Kansas City, passed out in the elevator they carded me too they ER did an immediate CAT scan discovered three strokes one in my left front one of my right front and one of my brain stem that could’ve killed me. We return to St. Luke’s to talk to the patient advocate to see what we can do. She sent us a CD copy of 486 pages of medical records that had a accumulated on me in five days. Not one of them had one word of us telling any of the nurses or any of the doctors about my seizure problems and neurological problems. They colluded to cover up any of the incriminating evidence or word in the reports because I do believe that there is no way that nine good nurses would’ve left that very important item of information out of any report. I believe that management and upper management in the hospital scrubbed the records and sent us the redacted copy which was very benign and left them in the clear. They are criminal but I can’t prove it and less I had the testimony of the nurses which I’m sure their jobs depend on going along with upper management. I would never go to that hospital again it is supposed To be the top stroke diagnosis and treatment facility in the Midwest. It is not. Do your homework before you go to St. Luke’s on the plaza I am still suffering from the effects of the strokes and under a neurologist care

Great experience start to finish, from check-in through administration of the anesthetic, completion of the procedure, and post-op recovery. Staff, nurses, and Dr. Cornette were all very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Special shout out to RN Kim, who managed my recovery with sincere care and a bright personal touch. The whole procedure was completed thoroughly and on time; rooms were clean and well maintained; facilities were first rate. All in all, the whole visit exceeded our very high expectations based on previous experiences: St. Luke’s gets an 11 on a 10 point scale. We couldn’t be more pleased. L

As a referring provider I had a horrible time trying to get anyone in the GI department to answer a phone call. I had asked the practice manager to call me, but he did not. Out of desperation I contacted the transplant phone number. A wonderful coordinator there, Tonya, stepped out of her job description to be certain that my referrals went to the proper department. She did not have to do that. Her act of kindness made up for a lot of frustration I have experienced when dealing with St. Luke's. She could have rightfully said, this is not my department, but she did not. I hope the administrators will acknowledge her sincere efforts to help provide all patients with wonderful care and concern.

Do not go to this hospital if you are really ill, the Doctors do guess work , some of the nurses are extremely lazy and rude and no communication with the Family far as diagnosis and treatment, this was my Mother’s 3 stay here and this time all they did was give her a blood transfusion and perform a procedure on her to check her heart and lungs and today they transferred her to the rehab facility in -2 degree temperature without telling me….. but hats off to David , Daniel and Natasha on The Pulmonary Floor because they really care about their patients and they are outstanding but otherwise stay far away from this hospital, because as of today I will be breaking ties with St Luke’s and the Doctors there , I will be searching for her a new Primary care Physician

The ER was great but after they took me to rm 1011 it turned into a nightmare. I’ve never in my life been treated like I was. The beeping noises from the IV machine kept beeping they also put an alarm on my bed. That threw me into a full blown panic attack. I asked for one of my Xanax and the nurse brought me one but the pill was only a quarter of what I take that upset me big time. They did the same thing with my pain medication. It was ridiculous.

I'm happy with the care I received. The food service is good but I've noticed that some of the people who take your order, feel like I is there job to make sure you don't enjoy your meal. I had no food restrictions, and when I called to place an order it was like - what, do you think we're running a Restaurant!

Out-patient procedure for removal of multiple urinary stones and placement of stint. Anesthesiologist, urologist, and nursing staff were outstanding. No complications, in-and-out and home 4 hours. Would not want to make it a habit, but should it be required again, St. Luke's is my place.

I have been here for 10 days with my daughter in the nicu and they have been so wonderful! Every nurse we have had makes sure to ask if I need anything or if my daughter does and most of them have seen me completely break down and cry and they were there to listen and be supportive and I can’t thank each one of them enough! They are amazing people in the nicu! She has gotten the best care she can and they give her love too. Absolutely love the nurses!

I went to the emergency room on a friday afternoon with severe pain and was examined and sent home. I was told to return if the pain returned and it did on sunday so I returned that evening. I was told it was my gallbladder and a er nurse commented that I should not have been sent home with my 'elevated liver numbers' from testing on my previous visit. I was then admitted to the hospital after waiting in the emergency room overnight and into the next day. I was sent for emergency surgery to remove gallstones and they did not remove my gallbladder in the same surgery and not sure why. Dr Fessmeyer came and asked me if it was okay she go home to pack because she was moving the next day and she would have Dr Arce do my surgery. I went back for the full gallbladder removal surgery where Dr. Arce admitted to slicing my liver with an instrument while holding it out of the way since it was so inflamed from the state it was in for the past few days. If only I had come sooner, like two and a half days prior maybe I would still have one of my organs. The laceration was only discovered in the following day as I became very weak and unable to do basic functions such as use the restroom - I am healthy and 26 years old at the time, now 27. I had to then go into a third emergency surgery to both a. fix the laceration to my liver and b. remove all of the loose blood and clots in my abdomen from the laceration. I lost 2 liters of blood or 40% total volume because of that surgery, had to stay two extra nights in the hospital and received 4 transfusions of blood following. I missed two weeks of work. It caused severe pain and lost time and wages. After 4.5 months of back and forth with the hospital patient advocate, 2 of which I was told someone was looking into it and no one was which was disclosed to me by Tremaine Smith, St Lukes decided that everything listed above went to plan and that I should have to pay the full amount for their malpractice. I would not recommend this hospital to any single human being and I cannot believe this is the only emergency option for the entire midtown KC area. Would have been better off having my infant son diagnose and treat me and I only wish I would have gone anywhere else in my time of dire need.

Worst hospital I’ve ever set foot in. Where to even begin? Since day one, everything was terrible. It took us over an hour just to park and enter the building. The signs for parking are mostly hidden by trees, and when they’re not, they’re extremely sporadic and not clear on directions. Upsetting when you’re in a hurry trying to find a free parking spot. Secondly, don’t even try to see your hospitalized relatives on the weekend- this ridiculous place locks every single one of their doors. I had to walk around the entire building to find an entrance. I finally had to RUN to a door that was being opened by someone passing by and barely made it even INSIDE the building. In the next few months, I visited a handful of times. As always, the doors were locked. We always had to contact family members inside to leave our hospitalized relative to let us in. Every single time. This doesn’t even account to the level rudeness or inattentiveness of the hospital staff. I hope the family can get justice for their laziness and carelessness that led to the horrible outcome. Avoid this hospital at all costs if possible. Go to a different state if you’re in need of heart specialist. Please.

Came here for an ER visit for an awful hernia that was causing me to faint it was so painful... Waited in the ER forever (typical) and they ended up giving me fentanyl after i CLEARLY asked for them not to use that specific drug.. From there, I went home around 6:30 am.. Realized I had left my phone in the bed and I came back at 9:30 am and no one could "find my phone.." so someone from St. Luke's definitely stole it and no one fixed my hernia. Incredibly horrendous experience - i will not be returning there if my life depends on it.

Everyone took care of me throughout my intense labor and delivery. After my delivery nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists came to check on me and my baby. They really went above and beyond. Along with the care the nurses gave me as I was healing from a c section was amazing really helped me through things.

I was very fortunate to have all the Doctors and Nurses that took care of me. Dr. Cummings and everyone on the surgical team ( I wish I could remember all their names and their specialty) treated me with respect and their sense of humor was great when I teased them. I tried to have fun and keep a positive attitude along with the seriousness of the situation. Nurses KC and Liz also went above taking care of me after my surgery. The only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that my family was not kept informed of the progress during my surgery. Nothing was relayed to them after I was taken to surgery until one of them asked how things were going and was told I was back in my room! They were worried sick! Please correct this for other families.

I had as good of a stay at the hospital as you can get. The doctors were all very nice and explained things as they were going to happen and what to expect. On top of that l had 2 amazing nurses in the ICU. Zachary took care of me during the day and he was amazing and a very nice young man who seem to really care about his patients. Then l had another amazing young lady at night named Casey and she was also very caring and a wonderful bedside manor. Without these two nurses my stay wouldn't have been as good that is for sure. I don't know what they get paid but l am sure it isn't enough.

Do not work here as a traveler or as an African American individual. Don't work here period. The minute I wouldn't allow them to use me and ignore the rules of my contract, they cancelled my contract. No one ever answers a phone or is available to meet with you when you have any issues. The call is horrible and when you have questions about how they are treating you, they get rid of you. Very unprofessional and uncaring facility who will pretend they care as long as you let them treat you like a slave and work all the hours their regular permanent staff isn't willing to and for less pay than was agreed to in your contract.

Update: 2 weeks later we finally were able to get him in for an MRI at KU. The technician and Doctor at KU clearly saw the area on his skull and brain that was damaged in the fall. They clearly saw that he has had a stroke. The technician stated that due to the plate they St. Luke's should have never given him a CT the plate just bounces light back and only an MRI is accurate due to his plate. The cardiologist is furious that he was not called by St. Luke's and when he pulled the readings from the pacemaker it was clear that my husband should have been kept and taken care of properly. /The ER experience was horrid. My husband has TBI and has had a craniotomy and a stroke in Jan of 2020. They took HOURS to stop his seizures and did NOTHING when I asked them to access him for stroke. They were going to keep him but I heard them saying they had limited bed space so they sent him home. I was sent home with someone who had NO feeling in his arm or leg. Fast forward to today he was being fitted for a brace and was stuck with a needle in his left leg--he felt nothing. The ER should have realized less that less than a year after a stroke he should have been kept and monitored. I am furious. I asked them over and over to please test his arm and leg for feeling and the ER Doctor did not do the standard tests for stroke protocol. Totally, negligent behavior. The Doctor spent most of his time laughing with co-workers in the hallway. Due to them not handling this correctly he is now back to his previous post-stroke issues. This could have been alleviated with proper care.

Security with the night screening person is so good all you need is a name and say I'm related and your in. I just watch the screening desk guy let someone in to an area cause he said he was a step son. He is not a step son. There is no relation. My wife has been telling nurses and staff that that person was not suppose to be there. I even told the screening desk guy my name and how my wife was up there and a security officer said that the other guy isn't suppose to be up there. I was denied entry but he was let in since he said he was "related".I even got clearance from nurses to go up were my wife was but the screener felt the other person should go since he said he was related. The other guy was not a relative at all and had no business there. This all happened 9-23-2021. My wife is now afraid to come home since even at the blood relatives request that person can come in cause he said its ok.

I used MFM for my high risk pregnancy and they were wonderful. I was excited to have my baby there because MFM did such a wonderful job. I was sooo wrong. Labor and delivery was the absolute worse. None of the nurses seemed to know what they were doing and were EXTREMELY rude! I had one nurse yell at me because I couldn't get comfortable and the monitor kept moving, of course there's more too and after everything I'm lucky both my baby and I are healthy but because of my labor and delivery experience there, I will never have another baby. After everything, I set up a payment plan to pay off what I owe and they send me to collections for $30.00. Can honestly say I regret using this hospital one hundred percent

Not worth 1star.(To the staff and faculity an facility of saint Luke's hospital on the plaza.) I've never been so humiliated in my life, you tell me all that's wrong with more or less I'm dieing, 15 percent of my heart is all I have of my heart functioning. As far as my liver transplant not a candidate now cause of my heart being in failure. My fiancee stays the night one night an as far as the next night you tell her at 8:00 pm that visiting hours are over an while knowing we literally have no ride, no money an basically have no time to make any arrangements for us to get her a way to go. Tell someone there dieing just hours before this an then kicking us out of the hospital. This is upauling to anyone. Are you realing acting in a professional manner? I don't think so I hope you don't treat other patients this way I can't see a future for any of us patients in your care or at your mercy.

I've been to the ER twice, was treated well, but alas be cautious of theirr billing. I had a bill there that I knew nothing about, never received a bill until a year later, started making 100$ a month pmts and after 3 months they turned me over to a Collection Agency without any warning. . Be very careful with the billing dept., when I called they wouldn't even reason with me. An email or phone call would have been nice. If, not for the doctors I have there I'd never go back. In fact, I'm considering changing doctors or this reason alone. OH and I've reported this to the MO Dept. of Ins.

I'm extremely satisfied with the patient experience here at St. Lukes. Everyone here has treated every patient with great care and respect. From the nurses and hospital staff, triage nurses, and emergency room staff, everyone here is exceptional. The doctors here are amazing and make you feel reassured that you have a team of people looking into your issue. They do not stop until you get a resolution here. I am extremely grateful for the staff here at St. Lukes. I would highly recommend St. Lukes and will be returning here again if I or one of my family members ever need more medical treatment.

The nursing staff were wonderful. The care and concern they had for my husband trying to find what caused his condition was not only with the nursing staff but with the different doctors. They were very thorough in the information they provided for me to help me understand his condition and how I can help him when he came home.

They r a good hospital as I spent 6-15-21 to 8-8-21 In there. Was in a coma for a month June 18 to July 17. Was on the vent that went into ecmo that went to having three chest tubes and then when I woke up I had a trach pic line and still had one of the three chest tubes in then was awake for the 4 chest tube but also had a feeding tube. Also had a seizure while I was there and they did a great job taking care of me. I would recommend them to anyone. They even did good when I had found out that my mom passed away 12 hrs after I went on the vent...

As a patient in the neuroscience department. I have always been thrilled with my care at St.Luke’s hospital. They have been able to do far more than the VA, and the staff and doctors are top notch. If you know anyone in need of any Nero treatment I would NOT recommend going anywhere else! St.Luke’s is very advanced in the neuroscience department and continues to advance.

The staff here is very customer service oriented. Every receptionist and administrative personnel have been professional explaining details of care in average person language instead of medical speak. Very clean. Kudos to housekeeping! To my new security friend. You rock! You understood my dad was hard of hearing and confused. You were very patient and demonstrated professionalism in what I can imagine at times is stressful. I commend you also for not outwardly being shocked when I was required to open a small bag inside my purse. 🤭🤭. Keep it up St Luke’s! Thank you Ko

Everyone - Drs, PAs, Nurses, Nurse Aides, Housekeepers and the Dietary staff bringing meals to his room were ALL so very friendly and caring. Their kindness will never be forgotten by us. Bruce received AWESOME care during his stay at Saint Luke's and they were always asking if there was anything that I needed as well! We would recommend this hospital!

I was on a transplant list at another hospital for 3 1/2 years and they were never able to get me a liver for some reason. I got transferred over to St. Luke’s and within 6 months or so they had a liver for me. The people at St. Luke’s have been no less than wonderful people to me and seem to be genuinely concerned about my health and feelings. Other than all those damn appointments I have no complaints at all. And cannot tell you how much better I feel and genuinely thank all of you so very much. I can’t even remember everyone’s name who has helped me so I just want to say thank you to everyone. Sincerely, Bill Beck

I like Saint Lukes my mother in law was in bad condition and they got her better! I do have some gripes although nursing staff is great they are very short staff it seems. When the staffing is short it affects patients care and comfort! I understand and am fully aware that’s it’s hard finding nurses and doctors but something has got to give.

I have been coming to Saint Luke's since the very first time twenty-nine years ago. My son Lucas was born there. Since then I have always received the very best care. I can't imagine going anywhere else.. I love all my doctors and the staff is wonderful the facility clean..

Everyone's really nice & take time to talk to you, not the normal two minutes & gone. Food is good for a hospital & 24 hour room service that already has a copy of your diet or food allergies. It's not a bad place for a hospital.

Dr. Martin and his team are phenomenal! I was transferred to St Lukes when I had a stroke and all I can say is thank God I was taken there! They did emergency surgery the same night and I'm still here to tell about it so I guess it all went okay! Thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts!

ER department is a huge pain to deal. Very rude, unprofessional was suggested on the phone to go elsewhere. Would suggest going elsewhere if in any way possible.

All the nurses, doctors, social workers, coordinators, support staff, and everyone else are super kind and they listen well and explain what is happening. They have great communication with the patients and family. We have been very happy with the care here and are thankful to everyone at St Luke’s.

This review is specifically for the ER . I have asked for a chance to give detailed information but have not received that. My husband was sent home with a life threatening issue. He is an advanced Chemo patient with a compromised immune system. When I asked if there was a safer place for us to wait, I was told "there is nothing we can do". We waited for 5 hours to be seen. Then misdiagnosed. I received his report through My Chart and discovered that the NP lied to us. Even the intake nurse told us to go to a different location. We were never seen by a Dr even though his discharge report indicated that we did.

I received a kidney transplant here. They have by far been the best hospital that I've been in. The staff has been very helpful and caring. Both before and after transplant. They're very good at explaining things in a way that you can understand. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone

I gave birth at Saint Luke’s in late May 2023. The nurses, doctors, and staff were all professional and kind. Special shout out to Tessa, in Mother & Baby, for being an incredible nurse. She went above and beyond to ensure we were both comfortable.

I had my baby 3 weeks ago and it’s been a magical experience. The doctors, nurses, everyone has treated us in the best way possible. They have been such great people the whole time! The Nicu staff are amazing. I want to say thanks to all of them. Doctor Monica Franzen, nurse Alysha, Molly, Emma, Regina at the front desk. I wish we could give them 10⭐️. We will have our second baby at this hospital guarantee.

ER was great, except long wait to get a room, and nurse David who did my IV’s in both my arms did a horrible job, hurt and all bruised up, has no bedside manner what so ever, almost like he is only there to do what he has to do and collect his money. NO complaints compassion, maybe he should work with robots and not people. All the nurses/aides/nurse practitioner that cared for me once I got to my room were fantastic!! So very very kind, gentle, really cared about their patients. And Dr John Helzberg is wonderful, caring, devoted I don’t even have the words he is just great!!

Great care was given by the entire staff to make sure my family and I were well informed about the treatment I was going to receive. My wife was updated about my procedure and given timelines as to when I would be in recovery and able to have visitors. The procedure went as planned and I was made very comfortable afterwards. The staff was very knowledgeable and always willing to do more to help. The care and treatment was outstanding and I am glad I was treated at Saint Luke’s KC.

The doctors and nurses explained the process of how the St Luke's Kidney transplant program worked over the course of 8 hours. Many vials of my blood were drawn for testing. I was given a list of things to work on in order to be accepted into the program. A few days after, I received a phone call from a social worker who told me that I was disqualified. It seemed like I was not given a chance to work on any pf my issues and I was crushed. After telling my Nephrology APRN, she looked into my case and found that I could work on these issues after all and could be accepted into the program at a later date. The grave nature in which the social worker told me that I was disqualified, crushed my hope of being free of dialysis. My hope is restored thanks to Martha Badger (APRN). I am rating St Luke's at 4 stars because I think the phone call could have been handled better.

I delivered my baby here. Words cannot express how grateful I am for all of my nurses and doctors. The birthing process and recovery was the most peaceful process I could ask for. I felt supported and heard.

currently being seen by Laura Schmidt in cardiology, she has been nothing but helpful and honest with me working with me every step of the way whether it’s through the patient portal or in person, explains what meds i need or don’t need, and tells me what i need to do. Would recommend her 110%. St. luke’s itself has been super helpful, the plaza and St. Lukes East location, Stephen Njagi was also very cautious and safe when i was admitted there. He made sure all my blood levels / labs were in the right area and never above or below the normal levels.

Even after all these years, I still can't forgive this hospital. My grandmother was a patient of St. Luke's on the Plaza for 3 weeks after she suffered what we thought was one stroke on October 17th, 2013. It wasn't until the week of Halloween that we decided to transfer her to St. Luke's Hospice because the left side of her brain was destroyed and she wouldn't have the quality of life she had before the stroke, which was complete independence. St. Luke's Hospice informed us two days after my grandmother's arrival that she didn't just have the one stroke that put her in the NS-ICU in the beginning but she had two more! One that weekend and one the following Monday! You withheld information from her DPOAs and sentenced my grandmother to death! It'll be 8 years since her wrongful death on November 2nd. Maybe this hospital would like to know that you sentenced my great aunt to death too. She was my grandmother's sister and she died October 31st, 2013. She couldn't bare her younger sister dying before her. Nothing you say to me, no condolences or numbers for grief counseling will ever make up for what this place did. My grandmother was only in her early 60s and had plenty of life left before that stroke happened and you failed to treat her or inform us of the other two strokes. My mother died grieving for her mother 6 months later. You heartless hospital. You killed my entire family. Those three people were all I had left.

My experience was excellent. I would recommend anybody to have a baby here. All the doctors and nurses were excellent. If i have another baby, it would definitely be at St. Luke’s again. I appreciated everybody that was on my team they were great thank you to all. Once again I truly appreciate it.

The nurses, surgeon, anesthesiologist, technicians, and admin. staff were very caring and attentive. I am especially impressed with Stephanie Manning, who effectively communicated my concerns regarding IV placement, to the rest of my care team. Everyone on my team were well aware of my needs except the OR prep nurse, whom I had to argue with regarding my IV placement issues. (This is why I didn’t give a 5 star rating). That aside, I am impressed with the skill, knowledge, and services I received at this hospital.

My husband had been in and out of a couple different hospitals for 2 months. They treated the symptoms but not the cause. We finally took him to St Luke's and within one day they had determined what the problem was and how to remedy it. I cannot say enough about The Marvelous care that he received at St

From the start of my illness through today I feel like I had the best care team possible. Everyone from the doctors to the housekeeping staff were excellent. My visits with them may not be over yet but I feel confident that I am in great hands with a caring staff.

I was brought in having a heart attack. From the second I was brought in, everyone was extremely efficient in getting me to the cath lab. I was kept informed of everything that was going to happen. In the ICU the nurses were the best I could have, they kept me updated and explained things so I could understand them. Very attentive and efficient.

I recently gave birth to my first baby at Saint Luke’s and had a wonderful experience. Nothing really went to plan and I had a really hard labor but I felt incredibly cared for the whole time. My nurses and doctors were all amazing and really helped me make the best decisions that I could to get through the birth. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean too.
